Gun/drug limitations are fine I guess but how do drugs effect a person and what’s the pros to using it. That should be the focus. Otherwise it won’t matter how you work the distribution i remember reading a post about drug effects, but I also remember it being minimal and didn’t even cover the vast scope of drugs on the server you guys could barely hold 1 server together and now you’re gonna offer 2 servers with the same recycled ideas. the fact that i commented yesterday that one of the biggest factions that held this shit up left for another server and my comment got deleted randomly, without reason says a lot. yall keep doing the what ifs, change this, alter this, none of that will work. Everyone who commented on this post literally makes up the PB right now LSRP isn’t a top tier roleplay server anymore. It’s a haven for the shit RPers who couldn’t hack it on SAMP so they culminate on here because it’s easy to portray low quality RP without the stress of being chastised for it. Hence why the decent and/or better players left. You guys can keep jerking each other off trying to figure out how to fix a broken system going up an uphill battle. If I'm to be 100% honest? None of this back and forth matters for the simple fact that I guarantee you we're speaking amongst ourselves with no staff awareness. That in all is our big problem. The inconsistency, lack of updates, lack of care for the community and the egregious amount of time it takes for aspects of the server to be handled i.e reports/requests... None of this bullshit will change until our leadership does point blank. We need more goddamn updates, we need more implementation, and we can sit here and jerk each other off and act like it's happening behind the scenes (that's what developers and staff keep telling us) while we sit here with 0 updates and/or additions and constant server issues. And for those who will reply with, "aDDiNg mOrE uPdaTeS WoNt fIX tHe pRobLeM", yes it will. People like features, people like to enhance roleplay WITH script wide features, this is a fundamental fact. We can sit here and keep circle jerking or actually have a solution which I doubt when a high majority of our staff don't seem to care as much as the players do (because if they did we'd be having updates/meeting every week, but we don't and it's all rhetoric).

As far as your question, that's up to you guys in the case that we were to remove one. I could care less, the job is the same ultimately which is the legal enforcement of law and order. So whether it be just LSSD or LSPD I think we should focus on one entity right now. Also, I agree with what you said as far as lowering police count. We can't disregard these players who put in time and work. As a player outside of LE (something YOU guys don't see), I encounter way more police than I do the average role player on any given day, tbh. I go to Strawberry/Davis and see more cruisers than gangs. Am I being biased? Idk. I'm purely giving you my observations. Regardless, I think it's a valid argument to say that the amount of LE players vs every other player is a little excessive, and breaks immersion many times. I don't know the solution. I come in-game and role play to my best ability and that's how I contribute to the progression of this server. I found myself as a dedicated player finding it extremely hard (the will to want to come ig and produce some form of RP) to do that for many reasons and something needs to change, that or maybe I'm just the issue but by the looks of this topic I don't think this is it if everyone has similar sentiments.

That's not the point brother. We're trying to improve the quality of this roleplay and MANY players have said the same thing over and over. Answer this: Do you think the current roster of LE players is overinflated in correlation to our current PB? I tend to agree with what someone previously commented, I don't know why we have LSSD and LSPD with such a small PB. We should remove LSSD as a whole and just focus on LSPD until player count grows. What are your thoughts on this?

Anytime LE related complaints are brought up you seem to always have a some sort of justification or defense as to why said issue is wrong and LE is in fact not in any way a "problem". There's too many cops on this damn server, maybe you should try to be more open to criticism instead of constantly making excuses for this over inflated LE.

I got 135 minutes of prison time for an expired registration and expired license (this being before the update where the time to renew was made longer) you’re gonna sit here and tell me that law enforcement isn’t an issue? Not all LE role players are bad but to try and act like the police aren’t part of the problem is exactly that… the problem. I can literally pull up my discord since this server started where active players complained about the police, some incidents so ridiculous they left for other servers or quit in general. No one is targeting our LE but changes need to be made and if you’re gonna sit here and defend that without an open mind then I can see why this server has gone downhill in just 3 months.

Big no for me. I guarantee you if developers were more frequent with the updates, I.e one or two small ones every week and one or two major updates a month, then people would flock back to LSRP purely for nostalgia, because the server wasn’t great because of SAMP, the community made it great.

A couple of suggestions: 1. A new and improved LSRP trailer or video. Once this is done, all players should be incentivized (I.e. something free like a month of premium or 2 free name changes) to send the video to their former friends/groups whom would fly back to the nostalgic roleplay LSRP has to offer. 2. Weekly updates. Like you’ve stated in your post, you guys are busy with real life and acknowledge the lack of updates. If you can throw out 2-3 smaller, less difficult updates a week and 1 major one a month for the next 6-8 months I guarantee you PB would rocket and those whom moved to GTAW will flock back to reminisce the glory days of this community. This will take a little more dedication from the development team, buts it’s needed, point blank.

@almightybounter Point of sale (POS) terminals are the standard system used to transact money from the card holder to the business at the pump (just like any other gas pump in America at least, you put your card in and buy your gas). Illegal devices can be purchased to steal an individuals credit/debit card information by placing the terminal casing onto the original case of the POS terminal, allowing us to steal (NPC players obviously, but realistically it'd be whomever goes to use gas) peoples information and create faulty/stolen debit/credit cards using their personal banking info that we receive from the device we input on the gas pump terminals. This system of stealing which is known as "skimming" accounts for $1 billion in costs accrued to the financial bankers and institutes whom are robbed from essentially. My idea is to fully RP this idea by purchasing these fake terminals via the dark web (how most criminals do it because there's no data tracking or any data trail and also it's typically a cheaper and more formidable option). Once we receive the terminals, we would place them on 2-3 gas pumps in-game, and role play the process of checking for a sale transaction in which we could steal their card information at the click of a laptop. Once this is done we will create fake credit card accounts in said persons name and begin withdrawing money or buying items in turn which essentially would net us a substantial amount of income during each operation. Me and my associate have been role playing this for a few days now, we have screens of our development and actually going out to gas pumps to fully scout the area and see what the activity looks like during the day/night before we go to install the terminals. My goal is to net profit from this after successfuly installing, receiving, and create credit cards and withdrawing substantial amounts of money (stealing money virtually) for us to keep cash on hand. You’re comparing a game made in 2004 in the PS2 limited graphical capabilities to a game with way more capabilities and less limitations, and the promise of certain staff members creating a robust script that’ll match or compete with our competition. as someone who lives an hour and a half from LA and used to live in the heart of the city just 2 years ago, I could tell you you're wrong. A lot of street dealers have gas and depending on the person you'll pay 30-40 bucks for an eight if the weed is solid. OT: make it legal and if changes are to be made do it ig. Even though i dont agree with Tweakers initial statement, he's right to say that selling marijuana is not as profitable as it once was. Most gang members and drug dealers in LA r/l sell percs/fent/presc pills because weed is just so easily accesible in LA. ON ANOTHER NOTE: it would be cool to make marijuana legal, because in real life LA there are "illegal" drug dispensaries that sell without a license (i used to cop from them ALL the time) and they'd pop up at a small little shady building for 2-3 months, get closed (raided by the LAPD), and move to another building. I think that'd be a great opportunity for RP both legal and illegal, without jeopardizing the legality of marijuana wide-scale.

Please stop, you'll read what is deemed "appropriate criticism" by those in power and if it doesn't align with what you want to read it'll be deemed the latter. Want some criticism? Stop acting like LSRP is this elite, invincible community that will live on forever by hopping on former nostalgia and riding a few older players whom happen to stick around. I tried RP'ing like everyone else, and we've seen a major drop in PB. You can say what you want, but it sums up to failed launch, lying to your community at the expense of their dollar to construct this idea that we'll be having a fully equipped and competitive server (while launching a year and some change later with a bare bones script) when really we don't. Face the fact, this is why most of the players whom actually can play "realistically" as you claim to want so bad in our community have gone off to other serves (and by others I mean one specifically), and if you want proof just look at our current faction thread as a whole. Constructive criticism? Drop the "I'm staff and your point is invalid because you spoke the truth and hurt my feelings" act. The sarcastic spiel by a certain leader of this community is unnecessary and does not look good on the staff members whom from what I heard from the great vine? Are not so favorably looked upon anyways. Listen to your community, the grinding sucks. Idk how to mitigate this, but it's true. I come home from work to roleplay, so at a minimum if I can settle my character that first few days with a car and at least a little bit of money, that'll help me in the long run as a player (provide assets to get off our feet at first, then grind later). Create a community video showcasing some RP and spread it across the internet, it'll reach people and possibly increase player base numbers. Create more businesses in-game, like script wise. Even if it's not being used or just there, it's nice to be able to RP in different locations instead of having to look for something that's open and owned by a player. (For example, I wanted to RP buying jewelry at a diamond store, but there is none in-game scripted to do it so I had to go to that Ponsonby's to do it there).
