Something similar to what people use when setting the appearance/description of their character. Something that can be easily observed without looking too deep into it such as, as you mentioned, mechanical integrity. Could use it to describe a messy interior, bumper stickers, FOR SALE signs, gunshot holes, specific branding, and anything else people can come up with.

I don't like having furniture slots limited; especially since a lot of interiors are bugged and require some extensive work to be able to look half decent. Please do not limit furniture slots behind a paywall. Please do not restrict clothing items. That's silly. Character slots would be an appropriate benefit for donating.

Absolutely. Now, if you took a hoodie with you and maybe a change of pants, put it in your car. You can open your trunk, remove your top, remove your bottom, take out a top and a bottom individually, and then put on your new clothes. That works fine.

I like the idea of having individual items. If you want to bring a change of clothes, you need to bring it with you. No committing a crime in red clothes just for you to walk to your car, /outfit, a and change clothes in 2 seconds time. I think a well organized wardrobe screen at a players house would be the best option here.

Instead of restricting them, they should be prohibitively expensive as they are in real life. I do agree that there should be some kind of tax/maintenance fee that can be flavored as it being an import and requiring special parts/work.

I think having things examinable in general would be really nice. Not unlike having a command for having an examine command for a person. Less for mechanic RP, and more just in general especially where a lot of people are around and there's going to be a lot of chatter going around. Ie, car shows, busy garages, or other scenarios.
