  1. Shoutout Mainiacos 24, first faction I ever joined. I was a complete noob and put out some terrible roleplay, but learned alot of things that would help me grow as an rper down the line.
  2. No lie you all have been putting out some of the best roleplay on the server
  3. Remember my first day on LSRP, witnessing a huge brawl between 516 Hoovers and BBB, I instantly became hooked on LSRP right there
  4. Was great to have our friend Luigi Mangione over at Sharky's December 4th, from 6am-9am.
  5. Hey staff and players, you both suck! These threads are always the worst, it's full of subjective critiques from players that have no realistic way of being solved as there is nothing concrete to work on. Stuck up staff members not willing to self criticize, former staff members who think they were one of the good ones, banned players just lashing out at the server and people who haven't played in months chiming in with little experience of the server today. Mixed in are a few good critiques and ideas that usually get lost in the endless mess which comes from the groups I mentioned earlier in the thread. I would love to see more players posting suggestions in the suggestions forum and active in things such as faction team public. I love this server but LS-RP's current community is absolutely pitiful from both players and staff. The only thing that will "save" LSRP is community cooperation from players and staff. Currently you have a large section of the playerbase with such a level of hate for the staff team that they are unwilling to work and discuss things in a way that will help to solve the problems they are frustrated about. Tirades, claiming the whole staff team doesn't care or is corrupt, alongside other vague critiques that are essentially just "staff bad," "legal/illegal FM bad" don't do the server much good only stoking flames without even coming up with real suggestions to correct the real issues the server has. As for the staff team, some of you all need to get your head out of your ass. The server is not perfect and if someone provides suggestions to an area of the server you work on they are not coming for your life's work but are a player who wants to see the server get better. Your whole purpose as staff is to work to improve the server for the player base, listen to them. Nobody is on the same page, what gets lost in the endless back and fourth between players, former staff and current staff about who sucks the most alongside a few actual good suggestions is that currently there is so many different ideas about what exactly is wrong on the server. I really think LSRP should conduct an end of year survey amongst all players to gain an actual idea of what players consider to be the biggest problems so that moving into the new year there can be a concrete way to move forward instead of subjective garbage.
  6. This thread is a continuation of the Hartford Partnership
  7. I really liked this post, I thought it was honest, grounded in reality and provided good feedback. I really liked that it also challenged us the playerbase. Before LSRP closed in 2021, I like many players absolutely hated LSRP staff, I would rant about them any chance I got and go on tirades on the forums. This is not because I'm a player who was ajailed a million times (I've never been ajailed or banned since joining in 2015) but because I loved the server and felt like they didn't have the servers best interests at heart. There was some truth to this, LSRP staff at the time were hard to reach, uncommunicative and would often act before consulting the player base. When the server returned, I decided to give LSRP staff another chance still being doubtful however, I've been genuinely surprised at how much more communicative, open, and willing the staff team has been to listening to the playerbase. I think a part of this was because they were forced into being this way, but I also believe that the staff team does want to see this server succeed, why else would they bring it back? Many players however, have not given the staff team a chance, I still see many players who shit on the server at any chance and refuse to turn their complaints into suggestions on the forums. I can understand why the frustration exists, like I said I was once similarly frustrated, but before you quit or log in to mass DM and get banned, I beg you to try to communicate with the staff team or post a suggestion to the forums about the change you wish to see. The server is far from perfect, there have been decisions made since it returned that I disagree with but I do genuinely feel LSRP in 2024 is a place where you can voice your opinion and be heard. Power to the Players In line with that and suggestions in the thread, I encourage the staff team to continue to pursue the opinions and thoughts from players at every turn. To see the collective thoughts of the playerbase as a tool to grow, develop and improve the server. The life of the server is dependent on the factions on it, in 2021 when LSRP died it was because just about every major faction quit in protest in a short time span. Factions are the life blood of the server, they show new players the ropes, they create roleplay and it's what the vast majority of the server logs in for. Improving their experience and working with them has to be the priority. Consult faction leaders, talk with new players about their experience, hell even poll the player base about certain decisions and directions the server takes (I know this has occured some). Don't just give power to the players on the forums or discord however, but in game as well. Within reason, the creativity and ideas of players needs to be unleashed. With such a small playerbase I see no reason why if a player has a good idea which creates roleplay and is realistic with their characters development for it to be unsupported. If a mafia faction wants to do a construction project in Dillimore let them, if a gang wants to own a strip club in their neighborhood but doesn't have the funds OOC give it to them rather than letting it sit unused, if someone wants to start a country club in Las Venturas support it. These things only help the server grow, create roleplay and improve the player and faction experience. I have never understood why things like LSGOV have been unsupported by the staff for years when it can serve as an great outlet to empower players ideas in character.
