A triad (traditional Chinese: 三合會; simplified Chinese: 三合会; Jyutping: saam1 hap6 wui6; Cantonese Yale: sāam hahp wúi; pinyin: sān hé huì) is a Chinese transnational organized crime syndicate based in Greater China with outposts in various countries having significant overseas Chinese populations. The triads originated from secret societies formed in the 18th and 19th centuries with the intent of overthrowing the then-ruling Qing dynasty. In the 20th century, triads were enlisted by the Kuomintang (KMT) during the Republican era to attack political enemies, including assassinations. Following the founding of the People's Republic of China and subsequent crackdowns, triads and their operations flourished in Macau, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and overseas Chinese communities.[9] Since the Chinese economic reform, triads and other triad-like "black societies" re-emerged in mainland China.[9][10] In modern times, triads overseas have been alleged to have connections to the government of the People's Republic of China.

If the argument persists for a decade it is definitely a problem. I'm not going to join anyone's Discord and it does not matter how long they are roleplaying. The more players running around with bats in Idlewood the better for everyone. Mall was awesome times...

Let me tell you this - I'm not saying Discord is bad or people back in the day were communicating only In Game. What I've meant was - you should be able to play here without no OOC "connections" or needing to be on Discord. All I'm saying back then was a way better situation than it is right now. The situation right now is you can not roleplay anything besides having friends on Discord or joining a faction. All you can do right now is buy some drugs off a corner and roleplay using it. That's pretty much it. And I'm not saying having friends is bad 😄 Don't get me wrong - having fun with your friends is very important. People are not willing to join the server or put in hours developing their character because there's no point. Majority of the things happens on Discord nowadays and there's pretty much nothing to do - collect paychecks? No one in their right mind is gonna truck - people are playing SA-MP because of the style it gives. Back in the day trucking was a thing because majority of the players were young and was having fun playing SA-MP. You're not going to get people going in 2024/2025 if my character needs to truck or stand around corners to start off anything. I'm hoping for more sophisticated experience because "if it's fun - it's time well spent" really does not do it for me. 🙂
