  1. Los Santos County Sheriff's Department Transparency Thread _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Hello all, this thread serves as a point of contact between the community and the LSSD leadership. Here we will answer questions and concerns you may have in a neutral environment. We will also post changes made within the faction to maintain transparency. Generally, questions will be answered by Executive Staff. If a question pertains to a particular division that only the Unit Commander could truly answer then they are free to do so as well. We ask that you follow a few simple rules when interacting on this thread to keep it civil and clutter free. Refrain from posting here only with the intention to start discourse or spread rumors regarding the faction. If your concern stems from an isolated incident in game rather than a top down faction issue then please contact us privately via. PMs. In Character concerns are obviously prohibited. Please go through the proper channels. Faction members with concerns or suggestions are encouraged to utilize the appropriate section on the faction forums as this thread is intended for the outside community. We're excited to share our progress here and understand there may be questions as well. Below is our executive staff and their positions; Sheriff - @Karty Undersheriff - @who is horizon Assistant Sheriff - @Scumpy Division Chief - @Proxy Division Chief - @Justitiae Civilian Administrator (Advisor) - @nichxlas

  5. Well this is certainly refreshing. I applaud you all for taking it upon yourselves to get the SD back on track. It's always been my favourite of our LEAs and the one most welcoming of experimentation in how it operates and interacts with the rest of the server. Good luck to you all. What exactly caused the shake-up besides the drop in activity?

  6. I will take the first post slot to explain our intention with the new leadership and the values we go by. To many of you, we will be new faces. We understand we still have to prove ourselves and earn the respect of the community. There's likely nothing I can say to make you give us that respect, but our actions will, in the end, speak louder than our words. When we make mistakes, they will be acknowledged, not pushed under the rug. As for our core values and plans for the faction, we really go by one main thing. We want all the roleplay provided by the faction to be inclusive and enjoyable roleplay for everyone involved. This comes without the focus of playing to win. We believe that a lot of times in roleplay, it's cops vs. robbers, both in and out of the game. Each side usually does things to aid it and it only. Our roleplay quality is intended to be that, so when criminals interact with our members, it's an enjoyable experience and not a chore. This will take time, and we would greatly appreciate your patience with us. We also aim for realism. Going 1:1 with the LASD is impossible and probably wouldn't be enjoyable. However, with their publicly available policies, we can model the faction around realistic California policing. Obviously, we take liberties where required. Thus far, we have made several changes, many small and relatively insignificant for the average player. These include changing callsigns to make things more realistic, condensing ranks to help avoid a top-heavy faction, updating our master roster, and changing our shotgun policy to remove an unnecessary certification. We've been looking over our internal policies and introducing areas where we may need to change things. We will also be releasing an updated directive to provide realistic usage of motorcycles within the faction. Our future plans include the continued review of policy, opening our hiring, and reviewing our activity requirements. Soon, we will be allowing external transfers from other communities to avoid people turning away due to having to go through a similar recruitment and training process. Some may have noticed that our in-game activity has already risen, and we hope to see this continue. If you were previously in SD and left for whatever reason it may be, we would love to have you back.

  9. Hello gamers, After months of hard work from our development team, we’re excited to reintroduce the Rage Insider Team – initiative designed to bring passionate community members into the heart of LS-RP 3.0’s development process. RAGE Insider You might be asking what the RAGE Insider Team is; it is your chance to get early access to upcoming features, updates and testing modules before the official re-release. You’ll be part of the team that has a direct role in shaping our RAGE server by providing valuable feedback that helps refine our gamemode for public relaunch. If you are dedicated, want to get involved, enjoy testing new systems and have ideas to share, we want you onboard. Please see the requirements to join the team below: Prior RAGE:MP experience Ability to provide insightful and constructive feedback Willingness to participate in testing activities and feedback sessions/topics Whether you just started following LS-RP:V’s development or have been a long time member of the community and want to help shape its future, consider applying if you'd like to contribute. Bare in mind, this role requires you to actively test features on our RAGE server as we inch closer to a well anticipated relaunch. Please send your letters of interest to @danut via a private message, include a bit about yourself, and why you'd like to contribute and help test. Applications will be responded to in bulk, please allow us a week or two to start setting you up. We've some exciting news regarding our RAGE comeback we'd like to start sharing soon. I know plenty of our players are excited for this one, and we'll hold a community meeting during May to bring you more information on that front (& answer your questions, of course). We've been intentionally keeping information on the down-low, but this will change as we're approaching our goals for the relaunch. Stay tuned! Tester Recruitment We're also opening tester recruitment as of today. If you'd like to join our team as a fully fledged tester, I encourage you to read more & apply here! We're also continuously looking for new developers, modders, mappers and more for both our SA-MP and RAGE servers - you can find more information here: Staff Recruitment - Los Santos Roleplay Thanks for your attention and I'm eager to share more exciting updates with you in our upcoming monthly update at the beginning of May.

  11. Tax Evasion and Financial Manipulation Tax evasion has long been a subtle but essential part of the Yakuza's financial operations, allowing them to maximize profits while maintaining a low profile. By laundering money through legitimate businesses and manipulating accounting records, they avoid millions in taxes, shielding their true income from the government. Operations are often disguised behind small businesses, restaurants, nightclubs, and construction companies—industries where cash flow is heavy and accounting can easily be manipulated. Shell companies and fake invoices are regularly used to fabricate expenses and reduce taxable income. Trusted accountants and legal advisors, sometimes working knowingly or under pressure, help maintain the illusion of legitimacy. In addition to underreporting earnings, many groups engage in fraudulent refund schemes and offshore banking, funneling illicit funds into accounts in foreign countries with lenient financial laws. This not only hides money but also creates complex trails that are difficult for investigators to untangle. Dominance in certain industries gives them leverage over other businesses too, often forcing small operators to comply with "under-the-table" deals to avoid scrutiny or even destruction. Control of local economies strengthens their grip on the region while keeping their true financial power hidden from the outside world. A well-known incident involved Yakuza-owned construction firms in Tokyo, where systematic underreporting of profits and fake subcontracting led to millions in unpaid taxes. Authorities later uncovered a network of ghost companies used to funnel money offshore, exposing just a fraction of the massive underground economy the organization had built over decades.
