  1. Whilst the point is absolutely true that roleplay should be awarded better weather that be faction, business, company, whatever.. I must also remind you lads not to ever expect playing 1 hour a day and receiving close or the same amount of money that someone that is playing 3-4 hours a day. Yes, most of us have jobs, but that doesn't mean we can balance the economy around 1 hour of playtime per day, that would cause insane inflation. I think a good mark to go off, especially since we have tapered paychecks is around 3-4 hours of playtime per day, equaling to 21h/week. Cause whatever the system ends up being, we can't award 5k to a player who roleplayed 7 hours and also award the same amount to a player who roleplayed 21 hours. But we can't give the 21 hours, just triple the amount either, since that would fuck everything over real fast.
  2. I think this definitely the way to go. Currently looks like me and my bud who made a business together as well as @CChef and @Mouse have more or less the same situation. In this passive roleplay system, I provide all my roleplay content for the players (and in short their characters) via ooc means, so that would be the forum, discord or something of that sort. For example, we over at Critics Corner make the magazines then post them on the forums, yet at the same time Mouse posts her images and videos in her business post as well. Most of the *work* that goes into making these things is actually done outside of the game. Usually we either are semi-afk in-game or do fishing whilst writing and editing all the stuff. If we were to have, let's say a construction company, a good part would be taking the screenshots with RP, similar as to how we do it for our content and then on top lots of time would be spent in some kind of map editor or whatever you use to create buildings or interiors for RageMP. The thing is, if we are in these programs or afk-ing, that $250 paycheck isn't applied to us. Ofcourse if you have some kind of employees, for their efforts it's fine, but since in my company I, myself, have to do all the editing, formatting, writing and posting, it means that to get the money I earned out, I still have to somehow spend a boat load of time on the server. And if I have 2 hours to play, than I can make the same if not more trucking than if I would be just sitting getting my paycheck to get paid for that day. The alternative would be to pay the CEO or what not a lump sum of money earned during a week via placing it in the organizations, this sum has to be more than scripted jobs, but not enough to be broken. Somehow need to balance it out so it's worth the work that gets placed in, but it can't be judged directly based off count of posts either. ---------- In regards to the active company profits. I honestly couldn't think of anything better than an improved entry fee system like some other servers apparently have. Never been there nor' have I tested it, but the more I thought about it the more it made sense for those active bars etc. So make it so the owner gets X money per unique player entering the business in that specific day, thus far it's easy and already said that this exists elsewhere. But then the question arises, how many visits till it caps out and how can you as a business grow if it is limited? I think there's a pretty cool concept that we could draw up. So when a company is brand spanking new it has a cap of let's say 30 unique players per day that provide income. Then we, meaning the staff, could increase that cap based off how long this business/company/whateverthefuck has provided quality roleplay on their forum post. The longer the business/company has posted good shit, the more we increase this cap up to some limit, let's say 70 players. After 70, the company, if they want to increase their profits and grow more have to just open a new venue, like another club, another bar or another whatever and then repeat the cycle there as well.
  3. This is pretty much exactly what was happening in SAMP. Crazy amount of money just flowing in each payday. Imagine that in a day we have like 200-400 unique players. If they all got 1k doing either nothing or something insanely easy then we would pump 200-400k in it every single day! In a week you'd have huge numbers floating around and that issue would just increase over time. Soon buying a 60k car would be a meme, since most of these players aren't around for 2 days, they're here for the long run.
  4. Played in 3 wipes so far, haven't done kappa ever just cause of quick burnout. I like the game a lot in it's core, but currently with how absolute fucked it is, it's just unplayable.
  5. $700/week taking 3-5 hours to accumulate is inaccurate. That amount of money w/o social services can be achieved within 1.5 hours of trucking, so that's straight up false. That instantly nullified any argument that it takes too much time to get the minimum amount of money to survive or that we're super busy IRL and can't even do an hour or two of money gathering in a whole week on the server. Creating a request system as mentioned near the top of the post would also be very ass since A: it wouldn't be fair to everyone B: it would require a shit load of staff involvement creating pretty much pointless duties for them to additionally take care of every day. On top of that this system would have lots of other issues, what would you do if a player becomes inactive and has one of these granted assets? Do you delete it? Sell it off via some kind of staff hosted event? Do you make a script? Okay, let's say we have a script that deletes it, what if the player comes back? There's like a gazillion edge-cases that can't be scripted in and would require staff to spend time on it, making it just not scalable at all. Giving X cash to players isn't a great option either, since not everyone would receive it obviously and I mean the same people that want X cash to be given are the ones also writing that trucking isn't in their characters background, so how the hell can you suggest money from god to be sent down? Honestly, I can't even provide a great solution right now. In fact, I'm not entirely sure that a solution is needed at all. We're literally less than 1 week into the server and nothing's even stabilized. Maybe if we're like a month or two in and it's still insanely hard to finance a basic car or rent out a property, then we can start looking at some options. But either way, if y'all want to discuss this, then come with long-term viable suggestions, cause none of this stuff in the post is realistically possible for the server to do in the long term.
