Can we bring back the old playerbase count?

Has anyone in management or the marketing team ever considered putting together a video showcasing the official factions on YouTube? It appears there has only been one recent faction video for Beogradskaya Grupa. Perhaps an even more recent compilation of factions in one video would be a step in the right direction to promote some presence on YouTube again. Just a thought.

This is a really good idea. Big Tank from the Serbian Faction puts together some great youtube videos.

Would be a start to actually promote the server across a wider audience. I think there should be a team that creates videos, reels, shorts or whatever with a link to the server and forums.

LS-RP needs to be promoted on all social media platforms.  It seems like only one side of the world is really active on LS-RP. Peak times are only around three hours, after that the server drops drastically. We need a wider audience for sure and social media would definitely help!

It's something I've been saying for a while.

 

Short form content, spam it everywhere. Cant get new players if no one knows about it. The more people that know and see, the more people will join.

 

It's how I joined the server back in like 2012-2013. I seen gang drive by videos and was like "wtf is this". I had to have it and was hooked for years.

 

There really should be a big push towards marketing. Doesn't have to be in-depth, just short form reels showing off aspects of the server.

Since I recently joined IFM, I've noticed another gaping hole in LSRP's management, and it's surrounding suggested illegal features; especially ones that are critical infrastructure to the entirety of the drug trade and underground scene surrounding LSRP. 

These where massive monolithic advancements that were being done by @KUnderwood and upon his departure, where completely neglected and not picked up or discussed again; they were literally some of the most important feature updates that were just abandoned. I don't care who's to blame but attention needs to  be  shifted towards the momentum that he had going before his departure and getting this in the server.

They  don't even  need to  be as nearly heavyweight either they  can always be smaller iterable features that can be built upon that introduces new functionality.

I didn't give reasons for it because I don't need to prove to you that Matt was prepared for promotion. Operations Sergeant would have been your position if you didn't have the problems you're showcasing right now — an inflated ego, an aggressive mindset, and an inability to have dialogue without becoming accusatory or disrespectful.

 

That manifesto you speak of wasn't written by me for no reason. Michael and Izumi reached out to me to get my opinion. I simply shared what I told to them, since that's the only thing I've written in detail about this entire situation involving the SD and previous/current leadership.

 

It's pretty impressive how this thread became a 'who's friends with who' contest. All of you glazing Storm or white-knighting for Iudex are really showing your true colors. You say we're all friends and try to help each other, but you're working hard to dismantle the perspectives of the actual people who have the experience and the time in rank to have been exposed to these issues.

 

We complain about inexperienced, illogical people running things — yet we listen to the loud, salty minority of people who burned their chances to gain the experience. So instead they scream from the tops of the buildings about stuff they have absolutely zero knowledge about. I think when it comes to development, the community has gotten way too spoiled. Roleplay was never about the script features, remember 2015-2018 when roleplay was so much more than awaiting features.

 

You had plenty of shit to do daily, never had a boring day. Whether LSRP is fun comes down to one thing only: the community

 

I don't see how more illegal features are going to contribute that much if the community is the sole core. Most of our most fond memories of this server come from a time where there were barely any "cool" features, yet we had fun

Armando, people like you are/were the actual problem on LS:RP. You harp on and on about how someone else was unfair to you, all the while you were doing the same to others. It only became a problem when you and your friends were on the receiving end. On top of that, you lie... a lot.

I was told, by the sheriff, to apply for the operations sergeant position because you and your friends are incompetent - so much so that your incompetence will never again be topped. I never threw a fit. I attended 1 last training, heard your friends — who can't lead and routinely get their teams wiped out on the main server — try to tell others how to lead, and realized just how inept your friends are, so I sent unlawful a PM and told him I was leaving. Also, if I had "an aggressive mindset" and "an inability to have a dialogue," you'd think I would've called your inept friends out for their failures (of which there were many), no? Instead, regardless of how truly idiotic you and your friends' tactics appeared to be, I tried to guide them in the right direction diplomatically. Please do provide proof of these accusations. Since you seem to be having a hard time with comprehension, let me help you: I don't care about Iudex. No, he should've never been the sheriff. His leadership has been "tried and tested" before, and the faction needed a new face to lead it instead of having the same few people rotate through the leadership positions. But, you can't deny that he did more in a week than you and your cronies did in 3 years. Keep crying about Storm too, and try to convince yourself that your friend matt deserved a promotion for doing nothing. You post an entire manifesto crying for your friend, but can't seem to justify why he deserved a promotion and instead try to do mental gymnastics with a "he proved himself to me and that's enough!" argument. I'm just happy you were served a taste of your own medicine. Also, a single guy against around six of you, and he still managed to outwit all of you? This may be, singlehandedly, the saltiest reply I've ever received. You can stop begging me for the justifications for Matt's promotion, seeing as I highly doubt it'll satisfy your craving to be right.

 

Your proof of my hypocrisy is, what exactly? Interacting with members of the faction? My brother in Christ, I do not know nor care what happened between 2021 and early 2024 - I wasn't here. From my return in May to my exit in the end of October, I was deeply involved with the faction. I spoke to a lot of people I don't consider friends, nor do I like, in an effort to be professional and make a difference. Iudex and I stopped talking when he became Undersheriff, as it was clear what was to occur. Matter of fact.

 

What's insane to me is how you accuse me of things without actually showcasing a fleshed-out argument for it. Who do I cozy up to when I was already ES before? Myself? Iudex and I were going to go into Executive Staff within a short period of time whether we sought it out or not. Iudex actually never benefited me in any of my promotions seeing as he never had a single hand in them, it was purely Brasi and Jack. Romiro and I butted heads so much we barely even spoke. I'm not even gonna stoop so low as to call you a liar considering the fact you're regurgitating information you've likely been told 2nd hand, by people without a positive intent in their body.

All this slander on Iudex is laughable, I personally watched Iudex raise through the ranks since the server rebooted, he volunteered countless hours of his free time, providing suggestions and improvements on how to improve the faction. He wouldn't of been given the Sheriff rank otherwise, during our months of playing, various members of the faction tried to coupe, hilariously they left for PD, only to then reinstate back when they didn't get their way, this was there attempt to try to push LFM, to kick iudex out.

Then he gets caught cheating in-game. Y'all can't reminisce about the old days with Iudex when he was blatantly using no spread and possibly other hacks, during a time when the server doesn't need admins trying to gain advantages, especially because it lacks a player base as we speak.
