I always end up replaying the same few classics, but I love hearing what others are into. If you’ve got a lesser-known pick that surprised you, I’m grabbing it next.

Van Ness Gangster Brims, also referred to as VNG Brims or Rollin 50s Brims, is an old-school Brim Blood set that started out on the west side of Los Santos. The name and origin of this Blood set come from the Little Seoul area, where the initial young Bloods waved their red flag high as a sign of affiliation. From the beginning, young VNGB members took it upon themselves to press into the same corners that Rollin 60s and NHC took from the start. The territory ranges from alleyway tags and corners are marked by names like 51VNG and 52VNG that are still passed down from generation to generation. In the late 2010s, old-school VNG Bloods were removed from the corners by Gang & Narcotics as they targeted the 51 clique. However, by 2021, young VNGB members had regrouped. New bloods had entered into affiliation, taking fades and block stacks like the original Bloods did at the beginning. VNGB has the Brim flag with deep red/burgundy rag colors, black shirts for night-time fades. Blue is only worn if an opponent's fade is nearby. Boston Red Sox hats hold the Brims with favour. Nationals mean "Wesside". Angels mean the devil on the sign is flipped. Ink is the same as above. Street numbers, and opponent sets with a fat chunky "K" for Killa. Middle fingers are drawn through opponent stacks in pictures. Old spots have VNGB, 52, crossed-out Rollin sets to remember who controls Little Seoul and surrounding spots. Above is a picture of OG's from Van Ness Gangster Brims, old-school members
