For real, Khamzat needs to improve if he really wants to challenge Usman because at the moment it doesn't even look like he could match Colby in a 5-rounder. Or maybe just follow the game plan instead of going to a war next time, idk. The way he fought Burns doesn't convince me enough though. LMAO, trust. Prime Jones beats anybody, any day, I don't care what anyone says that man was (still might be) a monster. Besides, like you said, put Khamzat in that cage against Jones right now and Jones comes out with a W.

Yeah, he deserves plenty respect, no doubt about that. I just wouldn't put him in the GOAT debate but his influence on top managers and the game was huge. The same could be said about Rangnick, his philosophy and vision shaped majority of top German managers, huge influence but definitely not the GOAT manager. Yeah mate, cool, wrong thread though.

What a fight, Khamzat and Burns really put the work in, so nice to watch and could've gone either way, very close.

Yeah, it's a good card with 3 really exciting fights. Yan messed up big time in their first fight can only blame himself but gotta take that belt back now. Can't stand Aljo acting like Johny the Big Bollocks when he was losing the fight and only has that belt because Yan threw an illegal knee. I understand he's doing it to sell the fight but it's just really annoying. I have no opinion on Khamzat vs Burns, I wish both of them could come out with a win but that's just impossible hahah. Would be good if Khamzat turned out to be the real deal though, finally someone who could dethrone Usman as at the moment no one is at that level. Colby is really close and gave Usman 2 of the toughest fights of his career but he isn't gonna get a third fight anytime soon, so it would be good if someone else like Khamzat showed up in that division.

I mean.. I knew you were taking the piss in the first paragraph but the way you ended it, I thought you were just being sarcastic and assumed I was overhyping Ben, which wasn't my intention at all Yan confirmed he's landed in the US and will be ready for his fight with Aljo, that card is looking fire so far IMO.

I think you're spot on and I don't blame you for appreciating what Bielsa done for the club, if I was a Leeds fan I'd certainly be in love with the guy. My only point was that fans tried putting Bielsa into the GOAT conversation by stating the best of the best (Pep, Klopp) were inspired by him, yet completely ignoring all the other factors. Pep and Klopp were able to adapt, learn from their mistakes, Bielsa was so full of himself and his tactical genius that he completely ignored all the red flags. I wonder how Jesse will perform now, he did a really good job at Salzburg but then it didn't work out for him at Leipzig. Genuinely curious but it's good for Leeds that players are happy to play under him.

Sorry but Ben was a WW champion in Bellator and ONE, submitted Lawler in his first UFC fight, then lost to Masvidal, Maia and retired. Out of his 2 L's, the one against Masvidal was just really unlucky, whilst losing to Maia isn't exactly an embarrassment. Bear in mind Maia's losses where against the likes of Usman, Cov or Burns and he's getting closer to the retirement now as well. Also, he beat Masvidal. There's no need for the hyperbole, Ben would've never been a WW champion in the UFC but I'm sure as hell he would've wrestled the shit out of Masvidal. He's a meme know and I always appreciate good banter but let's not forget Ben was actually a very good MMA fighter. Didn't stand a chance against Jake Paul though. Ben couldn't strike/box to save his life whilst JP is an amateur boxer, much bigger and taller than Ben as well. Also, the state of Ben's body when he turned up for the weigh in.. LOL. Just an easy paycheck and a chance to become relevant once again.

I think it's more visible in the UFC purely because there's less people competing vs other sports, like if you think about it there's new Messi/Ronaldo/Neymar in football almost every few months, then they go missing. Also, let me guess, Giga and Till are in the video? I don't think Izzy has the KO power to do Jan or Jiri like that and I don't see Glover keeping that belt for too long, although if he does it'll be a great story. Got mad respect for Masvidal for his backyard fights back in the day (loved Kimbo for that as well), but as a fighter he isn't anything special. Didn't deserve second fight against Usman, only got it because he's a draw, and he's only a draw because he landed a lucky knee against Askren. I know plenty of fans dislike Ben but man he probably would've won that fight had it gone to the ground. As for the post-fight confrontation, Jorge got absolutely mauled in the fight so he just comes across as salty, ngl. Colby didn't even really say anything about his kids, only that Jorge is a bad dad, but I might have missed something. I like Poirier, he's a nice guy, never really starts shit anymore only responds when he gets called out but I don't see him winning with Colby, I'll be definitely rooting for Dustin but he would be a huge underdog in that fight, IMO.

See, this is what baffles me though, Bielsa who's apparently really good when it comes to communicating with players and everyone's got so much respect for him couldn't get through to his own troops. As much as I like Bielsa and I think he's had great impact on football, I don't think he's as good as some people (i.e. Leeds fans when he was at the club) make him out to be. He might be a tactical genius and he definitely left a mark on managers around the world and was an inspiration, but he's not a great manager himself, a great manager doesn't: 1. Resign after 2 days 2. Inform players of his intention to leave only to be sacked later on and on top of that his successor delivers something he couldn't 3. Get sacked because he couldn't get through to the players as his side was facing relegation Like, I'd understand if one of the above happened, once or twice, but with Bielsa there's always some sort of controversy, he either didn't get along with the senior management or the players or both. I'm happy to be proved wrong but the fact other managers have achieved some sort of success (or just simply delivered on the objectives) after replacing Bielsa says it all, IMO.

What really made LW stacked for me was the fact there was like 5+ guys good enough to hold the belt, and that still applies to certain extent as lightweight is much more competitive than other divisions. It's not just the UFC mate, every sport is like that, you always have that one guy all fans love. Khamzat is a massive hypetrain but he's been impressive so far, yeah he hasn't beaten any top fighters yet but the way he's been winning his fights is just extraordinary. He's scheduled to fight Burns now so will see how that one goes, it will be a career defining fight for him in a way. Colby's natural weight is somewhere between 175-180, so he almost doesn't cut anything, and he said it himself as well then it was confirmed by reporters/fighters I believe. Got loads of respect for him because of that. I don't see Izzy getting the LWH belt tbf, I'd rather for him to stick around at MM and dominate, he's got the potential to get really close Silva's record. I don't think Bones will come back to the octagon either unless he's really prepping for HW but it's just been so long since the last time he fought I lost all the hope lmao

would you disagree? personally I like Rob more than Izzy but there's just no way he won that fight, anyone saying he got robbed is just deluded.

Colby strongly disagrees with that lmao LW was stacked though, still is in a way. Back when Khabib battered Conor, majority considered LW to be the most stacked division in the UFC. Regardless, I agree with you Khabib hasn't done enough to be called the GOAT, maybe/probably GOAT of LW but defo not P4P. Bound to happen eventually, you can't stay on top forever (bar Jones), I can see Amanda taking that belt back in style though Great fighter, exciting striking and, contrary to what some people say, pleasure to watch. This whole narrative about Izzy being a boring fighter is ridiculous, Chandler asking Izzy to do more and not spar and that champs don't have to do much nowadays was just stupid af. Izzy landed more strikes against Rob, defended takedowns and the ones he didn't defend, Rob literally did nothing. Anyone saying Rob got robbed is just a fanboy, for real. Can't see anyone beating Izzy at MW anytime soon.
