  1. Restaurant in the ghetto and:
  2. Restaurant Interior (90% done - before I lost my /grantbuild to server crash 🙃) Furnished over this interior:
  3. Nobody said a thing about bringing the mallrats back. As evident by the toxicity and elitism by the illegal roleplayers on this thread, the management can do better than trying to appease a section of the playerbase that will continue to whine regardless of how much things improve in their favor. It's always a "us vs them" mentality for this section. Chasing this utopia of everybody being an elite roleplayer and having a 1:1 representation of the real-world is what brought the server to a 100-150 playerbase. What do you expect by publicly shitting on factions and their roleplaying standards? There's a point where criticism crosses the line of downright hatred, and nobody wants to play on a server where the loudest voices are the ones which constantly shit on other people and portray themselves as the bar that everyone MUST strive to be. It's a mindset that's teetering on psychopathy and I doubt anybody wants to play in an environment as negative as we're currently headed towards. Though I agree that there are some factions whose roleplay is far superior than others, I don't understand how some people expect these "inferior" factions to improve by shitting on them. It's not like they didn't spend countless hours trying to build up a faction just like you did.
  4. Love the details. Great work man.
  5. The civilian / legal roleplaying scene is so overlooked, and it's infuriating. Though this crowd is not as noisy and expressive on the forums, it's equally important (if not more than) as its illegal counterpart. The illegal roleplaying sphere is much more volatile, because if few players leave within a faction, its highly likely that others will follow suit very quickly. I find that this generally doesn't tend to happen with civilian roleplayers, as they're not bound by a faction to provide roleplay from, but rather can enjoy the server on their own. Therefore I think the management needs to start giving some more thought into improving the civilian roleplaying sphere as its much more easier to appease and contain. I'll list some of the problems I've noticed, and hopefully shedding light onto these issues can generate some discussion around this overlooked part of the server. Problem: The originality is lost when it comes to businesses. It seems that every faction or business owner exclusively runs a club or a bar, rather than thinking of something creative. This has made business roleplay so repetitive that it's not fun for either the business owner, or the go-ers. If you look past the facade of the fleet of company vehicles outside a business opening, you'd realize that 80% of the people inside each business opening are actually the business staff, rather than actual go-ers. Solutions: There are so many unique businesses still on the server. Why not auction them if they're not being actively used? For example, Waterpark, Aquapark, Los Santos Forum, Visage. Introduce ready-made unique businesses on auction, rather than putting clubs / bars on auctions. This means putting already furnished businesses on auctions. For example, there should be clothing stores, go-karting arenas, motocross arenas, theatres, comedy clubs, gyms, mechanic garages, museums, art galleries, betting shops, office spaces, ice-cream shop, paintball arena, gun ranges, country clubs, music studios, escape rooms, news agencies etc. Problem: It's almost impossible to purchase a business at the moment from another player. Solution: The solution is quite simple to this one. Just auction off more inactive businesses. Though I have no evidence for this, but I believe almost half of the businesses on the server are owned by inactive players. Why not auction them? What harm does it do? There are so many inactive businesses with insanely beautiful interiors and concepts that I wish would be auctioned. For example, Narc's 24/7 with a safehouse is a business I'm sure any faction would love to roleplay at, but it's collecting dust near the mall. Problem: There is very little entertainment for a new player after the initial grinding phase ends. I find that players who don't want to roleplay an illegal character, generally start slowly drifting away from the server just because of the sheer lack of options they have at hand. Other than trucking, working as a taxi driver, working as a staff, or going to clubs / bars, what else is there to do? Solutions: The events team can host mini events every now and then. For example, marathons, scavenger hunts, basketball games, BMX stunts event at the skatepark or BMX races at Flint County, car meetups, live car auctions, rally races, city bus tour rides around all three cities, magic shows etc. I loved the halloween event at Bone County, and I think we need more events like that in the future too. Though the developers have made HUGE improvements, the introduced updates are mostly support features that help elevate existing features, rather than being new features on their own. Although I'm not imaginative enough to think of anything new that can be added at the moment, I'm sure introducing new jobs and scripts that are not just geared for newer players (like farming, trucking, taxi) but also for seasoned players will be a huge help.
  6. this belongs in a tier above official
  7. i feel for @Martin_Busato this thread is a shitshow now
  8. I agree. IMO players who are new to roleplaying are mostly captivated by the openendedness of the concept. You can mostly do anything that you likely wouldn't be able to do in real-life, which is why its so easy to get hooked to the server. Newer players tend to join the civilian and legal roleplay sphere first, before venturing towards the illegal scene when they have enough experience and knowledge about how to roleplay. Therefore civilian and legal roleplay tends to be the breeding ground for new players, and its paramount to invest more effort into improving it. I strongly support the suggestions listed by Kunis. Though I haven't had hands-on experience with the company system since relaunch, I do agree company system needs improvements. I propose the following improvements (if they aren't already implemented): Introduce a paycheck and bank system for companies, which works like this: Each company would start out with a company bank of $200,000. Every hour, logged-in employees would receive a paycheck of $500, deducting this amount from the company bank. The company bank will replenish back to $200,000 at the end of each week. Company owner can add money to the bank. This money can be withdrawn from the company bank anytime, unlike the money each company starts with. Company owner can tweak the paycheck of each rank, with a cap of $2,500. This would allow for a much easier route to setup a company. Ontop of this, it would also make companies more mindful about how they run their business. For example, if you have 50 employees in a company, you'd need to think about how you allocate the paychecks without going into debt. This should hopefully also result in more diverse set of companies, rather than a single enterprise hoarding all the bartenders, security guards, truckers under a single company, which is unrealistic. I'd like to also mention some of the sheer unused potential when it comes to businesses on the server. The V-Rock Hotel, Visage, Los Santos Forum, Los Santos Aquapark are some of the most unique businesses that LSRP can offer, yet they are inactive. I strongly urge the management to either auction these businesses, or make them more active. Similarly, I also want to stress how much diversity goes a long way. There are too many clubs / bars on the server at the moment, and most of them are empty during openings because there's only so much you can do at these businesses until it gets repetitive and boring. Recently there was a boxing event at Stage 25 (?). I remember almost half of the server was there because that was a business / event that we hadn't seen in ages. Businesses that already have roleplay going on (e.g., boxing events, racetracks) rather than forcing players to initiate roleplay (bars, clubs) tend to be more popular among players from my experience. Also, making business entrance fees free or Level 5 and below players would be a great addition. The business owner can be paid the amount of the entrance, but it's not fair to make someone new to the server enter a business for 50% of their net worth.
  9. Mildred Avenue. Especially House 828 and 1813 if possible. Also Van Ness Avenue (House 532, 534, 535).
  10. GTA V is more appealing to the younger generation who have time on their hands. Most of LSRP's playerbase is people in their mid to late twenties with responsibilities. The 200 or so people that consistently play LSRP, only do so because of the their stature in the community or having a sense of belonging in a community. I only prefer to play LSRP over any RAGE server (including LSRP V) because I've spent over 5000 hours on the server and I have friends here. Had I not spent so much time on the server and built friendships in the past, I doubt I would pay any attention to a niche roleplaying community on a 20 year old game.
  11. In 2021, the server was hitting 700+ players only because people had time on their hands. Now that lockdown is over and people have grown up, they've got responsibilities. I've been super active on the server since it relaunched but ever since I got a job IRL, I've somewhat stopped playing not only LSRP, but any other game that I used to frequently play. It's not the management's fault that this is happening. Its just a case of people growing up.
  12. There needs to be some relaxation on that rule then. I understand if someone advertises "Selling Cheetah - Contact Me @ 123456" or "Hiring bartenders for tonight's opening", they need to be punished and their ability to /carsign revoked, but it's wasted potential if we don't allow any sort of advertising using /carsigns. Let's say Los Santos Forum wants to advertise their racetrack opening. Wouldn't it be cool to build up hype by advertising a week prior on LSL trucks?
  13. Since the server restart and also towards the tail-end of the server's eclipse in 2021, there hasn't been much variety in terms of businesses on the server. This is disappointing because the script has never been better to start new and unique businesses, and yet I used to see much more creativity with businesses around 2016-2018. Now there are endless opportunities through the company, business leasing and furniture system to make the server more exciting, so I'll list down some ideas that have come to my mind, that I hope players can start, instead of the usual clubs/bars/casinos. I'm hoping this topic serves as a source of inspiration for more creative and unique businesses on the server: Comedy Club Golf Club Events Hall / Theatre Museum Traveling & Tourism Agency Escape Room Art Gallery Motocross Arena Monster Jam Arena Sports Complex Analytics Company Paintball Arena News Agency Charity Indoor Karting Music Studio Museum of Illusions Community Centre Clothing / Boutique Store Flowers Store One Dollar Store Private Jets Company Library Coworking Space Motel Bakery I also think that there is tons of missed opportunities for business roleplayers and there needs to be more creativity shown. For example, instead of doing /cad all day, here's how you can market your business: Rent an advertisement spot on a company's forum page / website. Pay for billboards ingame. Rent trucking companies' /carsign to advertise your business. Conduct marathons. Conduct charities. Offer coupons through the /note system. Have business cards through the /note system. Advertise on MyFace
  14. GTA VI on PC probably doesn't even release till 2026, and a multiplayer mod probably doesn't release till 2027 or 2028. No way can someone plan for something so far in the future, given all the variables at play.
