  7. If you need a pet data monkey, I would be happy to help. I live for spreadsheets. 🤣
  8. What's funny is there are plenty of scripts (weed growing for example) out in the 'verse that could be used at the very least for inspiration in creating one for LS-RP.
  9. That's the thing. Pawn is not the hardest language to use for a lot of things, compared to trying to dev a FiveM server which has an extensive list of natives to call that never ends lmao.
  10. Ah shucks. Well in that case, anything drug manufacturing related would be awesome. Or bulk/pallet warehousing/storage. I could definitely use this for my corporation.
  11. This exact statement also reflects right back on the RAGE server... Not for "nostalgia" reasons, but it died as well did it not? I simply don't care if the server doesn't get more than 100-120 on peak, quite frankly that is still an impressive mark to achieve. I just want it to stay that way. The only way to do that is to improve. We are getting new players into the server, we just need to keep them. The community/staff needs to evolve to this new normal player count, rather than what once was. Also with RAGE you are competing with a trillion English FiveM servers to get players. Franky, best of luck actually achieving a high pop server, and with GTA 6 around the corner, double it.
  12. 100% agree. I can definitely imagine how rough it is for a newbie getting started. This is a MASSIVE issue, and definitely doesn't help in bringing in, or retaining players. People just want to launch the server and bam, in they go. A skin selector inbuild during initial creation is a basic feature. Agree skins could do with a cleanup on the UCP. I feel like there needs to be a bit more script related support for businesses. Food/Drink should be a required thing you consume on the regular, to help create an economic cycle. If something similar can be implemented for other business (say with the future release of house robbing, pawn shops having a part to play in this loop), it would help stimulate both the eco and bring something fresh to businesses. Personally I want my business/company to move into storage/actual logistics RP, and of course a script for that doesn't exist (even if I would be willing to pay for it lmao). Would be good if we could come together and figure out what the server is missing from a business standpoint, and yeah, offer these are premade options for people looking to start something. I've mentioned this before (using IFM as an example might have been a bad choice for me), but I agree the staff team needs to be centralized more. Things like Head of Auctions, or Head of Companies are just pointless positions that cause these kinds of bottlenecks. Like you say, if someone goes on leave, everything is up in the air. If it doesn't specifically need a subgroup (such as IFM) then it should just be up to the admin team as a whole. Certain ranks have authority and make a consensus on the issue/application/request. As someone who is working on starting a company now, it is a bit disheartening waiting for it to even be put on pending or to have even a lick of feedback. Auctions have been dead for like 2 weeks now in-game, that not including the forum auctions. Leasing is completely asleep as of right now, and it triples down with business leases STILL closed. Agree that clarity could be added to the forums to keep track, its definitely hard to keep track of everything that is going on. I also feel Discord needs to become more engrained in how the community communicates both to staff and within itself. It's basically just a "community" Discord at this point, rather than one that is for a specific server (even if it is both RAGE/SAMP). Suggestions could go there for example, and it makes it much easier to gain traction with conversations, as it is much more visible. It not 2014 where all we had were forums and TeamSpeak. If we want to bring people from outside the SAMP community, it needs be more user friendly.
  13. I volunteer to pay for asapdev's coffee fund.
  14. The issue is also how you balance the current player base, the potential pool of decent new staff members, and the positions open for people to sit in that are specific. 100% how it works now, is how it should work if there was 3x the player base, but with how it currently it isn't practical. Now in saying merging divisions together, it doesn't necessarily mean I expect everything to merge into one (even if that is what I suggested, was more so to carry the point), but to at least centralize IFM itself. Having Head of Melee Schemes, Head of Drug Schemes, Head of Strawman Schemes, etc. is just pointless. It spreads the shared responsibility way too thin within a team that should be able to work as a team, to get shit sorted. Quite frankly its going to take a few attempts to get the right flow, but the issue is getting that process started. It's quite funny that legal factions get priority at present, I wouldn't think they would really need much active development.
  15. Anyone saying that IFM should only be one or two people are stupid, absolutely. I would say the consensus from this thread so far is not at all that. Its more so removing IFM and combining it into other divisions to have a wider net, and/or removing inactive staff who occupy those positions currently and expanding the division in that regard. Staff should never take what faction leaders say as the gospel, but should always strive to have an open discussion (very much like this thread) and work together to find a solution that benefits the community. Whether what they want is exactly what is beneficial to the community is another thing, but at least having that discussion counts. Just limiting this to whomever is in a position of power within the administrative team is idiotic. Changing something and then getting annoyed because the community is upset both ways is what happens when you do this. Initial Proposal > Feedback > Finding Compromises > Reproposing > Feedback > Final Proposal > Vote/Feedback > Implementation. Not every decision needs to be this of course, as that just jams everything up but if its controversial or a big change, then it should follow a process.
  16. I agree wholeheartedly with the fact that some of the sub divisions within the game administrative team is pointless. There should simply just be one single team that looks after Illegal Factions, Legal Factions, Companies and Businesses (+ related requests). There should be people who primarily look after one or the other within said team, but are able to cross over and provide assistance to requests on the fly, rather than leave it up to that specific person. If a request/application is there for a few days, someone should just get into it and sort it out. Otherwise the ruler should come out of hiding and smack some people on the knuckles. The discord could do with a cleanup (lets just streamline the channels, #main is bloody confusing. Are people talking about SA:MP or FiveM?). Sports/Hobbies category can get yeeted into oblivion (just make it one channel, two max). Legal Faction, Illegal Faction, Company and Business Owners/Leaders should get a tag and should have access to a direct line of communication to administration. Relying strictly on forums for this is so 2014. I know a Commerce and Estate discord exists, buts its pointless to separate it and it appears dead to the world. I've spent most of the past 10 years (at the very least) in varying positions within SA:MP and FiveM communities. This ranges from being Chief of Police for several departments of up to 60+ members, to leading 10-30 player gangs, to being responsible for providing support and administrative duties as Head/Lead Administrator (at points entirely by myself) to gangs/factions on servers both not much smaller than LSRP and up to three time as popular as it is at present, to Public Relations, and many more. It's not overly hard, it just requires effort AND cooperation from the entire team to get shit done. Balancing and providing diversity to already existing jobs is a piece of cake. For the most part its entering new values into the existing script and pressing save. I've done it countless times before for other communities, and have already provided rough data (albeit I need to go through and polish) to rebalance the entire trucking purchase/sale value. If the data has been provided to you, it shouldn't take long to enter (and trust me if you need data, I'm your monkey). People just hate doing data, don't know why 🤣
  17. Hi. You will need to download and transfer the files directly into your SA:MP cache folder. You can find this in your documents folder. https://ls-rp.zip/
  18. TikTok/Insta Reels/YouTube Shorts are king. It's mental the amount of traffic you can generate.
  19. There needs to be active marketing to get the server out to the masses. There is definite potential for the player base to grow, I mean the foreign communities out there still thrive. The admin team needs a complete overhaul. Frankly, for the player base as it stands, there are WAY to many divisions/teams. This is directly contributing to the appalling response time to applications/requests on the forums. One person leaves the staff team, it can throw an entire section into disarray until someone comes by to pickup the pieces. Inactive staff should be removed, and a recruitment drive for new staff members should be undertaken. There are definitely people in the community who would be willing to take up the mantle of responsibility to ensure LS-RP survives, and thrives.
