The butcher shop, quiet on the surface, is believed to have served as both a cash business and an informal meeting hub for Licata — the trusted right-hand of West Coast Outfit captain Frank Caccia. Mob experts say the fire — whatever the motive — marks a calculated moment in the Outfit’s playbook. “When something burns in the middle of a power shuffle, it’s never random,” said SA-based mob historian Tony Calvillo. “Whether it was a warning, a purge, or just cleanup, it sends a message.” Rumors have circulated that the fire may have been a self-arson, potentially linked to an insurance payout or a quiet exit from a compromised location.
