  1. I never complained about features, just the prioritiation of said features; The stuff that was added was very good and the server is thankful for them. But it still doesn't mean that the features that were added were the ones that where needed. I think it's very rude to say "You're an entitled one". When in reality, I couldn't be further away from entitled; I've offered support, solutions and identified problems with what was going on within the community; and I'm met with responses like these which ooze out toxic anger for absolutely no reason whatsover. Yes. I've criticized features, but not because of what they do, but because of the timing of the implementation; when the illegal side is struggling (the literal core of the server, which arguably attracts 80% of players) and hasn't had a critical infrastucture update since relaunch (apart from one change to strength). I think it's fair to say the process should shifted to prioritising features properly. When I said "I must demand more!" or whatever in discord, it was a clear hint of sarcasm, not sure if you realised that. Yes, I did criticize adding the train, because it doesn't add any gameplay loops for players, if you had an analytic for people using drugs vs people getting on the train, which is going to have a higher player usage count? It's simple common sense decisions like this of which I was critical of, I understand you the developer want to make things your passionate about, but when players surrounding the illegal scene where feeling neglected I sought out answers for them and dived into LSRP head first; especially the staff team. And what I found was: - LFM was making uninformed decisions, and seemingly not making correct directive decisions - IFM has been neglected of a committed developer since KUnderwood left, and lead admins in general - The development team haven't committed to proper prioritisation, and there is no system in place for priotising features at all. Illegal Roleplay Although you can argue, it's reliant on creativity, it's also not. The script needs to add value to the drug economy, right now it does not. I keep getting met with responses like; fixing the schemes will solve all our problems, when in reality its features that we're lacking for illegal roleplay, there's only so much that we can physically roleplay for a street gang, one of the core fundamentals that populate the streets of the server and is the beating heart of LSRP. When you drive through Idlewood, it used to have numerous gangs dotted about, now there are mallrats dancing ontop of the stores facing pizza stacks; why? Because the roleplay dried up and the features weren't added, same old repeated story. And again this ties back to poor priotisiation, now when I complain about the train being added, do you realise that the whole point of my argument was to showcase that if the fundamentals and foundational features of illegal roleplay were added then the entire server itself would be in a much better place, but instead we got a train that I'd say at most 15 people were grateful for, instead of the massive uncountable numbers (for me anyway) that would've appreciated additions to drugs, guns, growing weed, etc So back to your point "You even complained that Lenny the train was added because "no one was asking for that!!" when in fact it was added because it was VOTED for." - Cake, 2024 Do you still believe that this feature was of higher priority over some real core realistically highest priority work that needed to be done?
  2. Not entirely; discussions regarding planting weed; drug addiction and drug tolerance began back in June and KUnderwood was having plenty of momentum surrounding it; once he left almost all development surrounding IFM asking for features seemingly fell dead in the water. Supposedly Michael was working on getting those drug addiction scripts in. But yeah. It’s now December. This is why I was rather always skeptic around priorities. But understanding developers will only want to code something they A) are motivated by B) have the knowledge to actually develop it with C) have a clear and effective plan/solution to develop so I think your idea that it’s all bullshit seems like a bit of a kick and scream approach as apposed to dissecting where the sentiment has come from.
  3. Here is a post I made regarding increasing the player base and updating the system surrounding LFM; so far LFMs decisions have been questionable and kicked up a massive amount of controversy, discussion and heartfelt responses across the community. It’s the reason I made this thread a few weeks back, before all the drama as if I had foreseen what was going to happen; and was met (by LFM aka Izumi) with an instant reaction to just lock the communities thoughts away on the topic. Here is the post I made I’d appreciate it if people took at look at instances like this and considered would this proactively improve the situation surrounding legal factions; and are LFMs best interests actively contributing to the influx in players or is it the case that it’s having the opposite effect? I was extremely disappointed when my question and idea was immediately shut down with a seemingly confused response; I was then later reached out to via PM by Izumi who ignored me soon after. Either way the intentions where clear. So Im moving this post here as to hear and get discussion on what the community thinks about the current LFM and how legal factions are being managed; are they improving or has nothing changed which has worsened the situation? let’s break down what factions LFM cover DoC LSPD LSSD LSFD (practically none existent atp) GOV Are these factions running optimally? Are they supported by the current LFM; have they made steps to improving the game surrounding them? How do we the community have a say in this, seemingly when we try to have input we just get suppressed as seen by the attached thread. And I believe the problem regarding the player base isn’t just because of LFM; it’s because of leadership and the poor backing of ideas and priorities. When we look at things like IFM, what was the last feature that really caught wind from IFM? What beneficial change have you seen to the server that has given illegal factions a real impact and uplifted the illegal scene for roleplay? We need management to step up their game. We need management who know what they are doing, we need the be putting the people who deserve management positions who have the experience, and willingness to communicate at all levels to have a strong understanding of where the problems are, because right now it’s people who are stuck with the idea that the current process must be followed; when in reality the current process are broken and the “cabinet” so to say needs reshuffling so the right people can make the assertive decisions this server needs.
  4. Since I recently joined IFM, I've noticed another gaping hole in LSRP's management, and it's surrounding suggested illegal features; especially ones that are critical infrastructure to the entirety of the drug trade and underground scene surrounding LSRP. These where massive monolithic advancements that were being done by @KUnderwood and upon his departure, where completely neglected and not picked up or discussed again; they were literally some of the most important feature updates that were just abandoned. I don't care who's to blame but attention needs to be shifted towards the momentum that he had going before his departure and getting this in the server. They don't even need to be as nearly heavyweight either they can always be smaller iterable features that can be built upon that introduces new functionality.
  5. Well said Eren 👏 Every conversation, dialect that I've held with you has been of the utmost reason; with constructive support to a better future, I pray this post speaks volumes towards that positive future, I suggest we all take some time to read and understand what he's highlighting here.
  6. I don't think one is even required in this instance 😂
  7. Is there any ambitions to bring native CEF to open mp?
  8. This is how it's done 🔥 Truly creative efforts being maxxed out, it's great to see.
  9. completely incorrect, especially if the player base votes on a profile, comprised of reason, motivations and experience. And if this was a worry you could just anonymise each profile such that players wouldn’t know who they’re voting on just the proposed profile.
  10. that’s a good question, no I haven’t. But it’s not the point. It shouldn’t be dependant on a report being filed, that’s a piss poor excuse and if anyone’s using that to excuse themselves then they should resign immediately. I haven’t explained what this is about very well; it’s about creating a team that can effectively manage the legal factions. Anyone involved in the legal scene can see there is a lack of management. Especially looking at recent events and things that have been allows to slide, the current state of management needs serious scrutiny. My ideology for faction management is to look at them as product advisors basically. Illegal faction management should be creating a backlog of prioritised work for the development team to implement relating to illegal roleplay, in addition to schemes and general illegal economy. Legal faction management should be creating a backlog of prioritised work for the development team to implement relating to legal faction roleplay. this feeds into the development teams backlog of features, which ultimately make the software (LSRP) more enjoyable for the playerbase is what I'm getting at. nonetheless, I’m proposing a new way for the player base, and community to have their voices heard in terms of making changes for the greater good of the server. And it must start by shaking the management and investigating what needs to be changed and who should be managing what, and in my opinion based on experience motivation and credentials to handle certain management positions. I also want to hear the communities thoughts on this.
  11. There's been a few situations recently which questions the activity, decision making and overall status quo of legal faction managment and their decision making in general. Currently there has been unactioned situations and poor handling of situations; we need to bring in members with real life LEO experience to help bring things to a better place. I made a similar thread in the Public IFT section; discussing a methodolgy to ensure that there is the most appropriate people in place for the management teams. It posed of implementing a voting system which the playerbase decides who gets what position; and each candidate has to submit their profile, motivations, and experience behind why they should be elected for the position. This is to prevent giving out jobs for the boys. I'm not going to rebuild the wheel so you can just use your imagination and pretend this is in a legal faction context. Theres more to be said; I'd like to hear what the community has to say though.
  12. Peak LSRP had HSIU and it worked, because it was fun, there needs to be a happy balance between what's over-realistic and what's brings genuine fun to players in my opinion. I would argue that since the mirror of LA has been in place, the server began to decline
  13. I dont think it should be limited nor restricted, just a process that law must follow to avoid having a bullet in every pursuit, if its a high speed pursuit thats gunna end up in LV then deploy HSIU to intercept. Nobody wants a pursuit that goes from realistic to hyperbolically unrealistic due to vehicle damage in samp
  14. Istill think it’d bring back the very fun high speed pursuits
  15. still think it’d bring back the very fun high speed pursuits
  16. Feel like this is missing from lsrp so many fun times to be had with HSIU true nostalgia hits thinking about that unit
