Circa 2019 Sons of Samoa, are a tight-knit, group of Polynesian individuals whom occupy the Ganton areas. They've taken control of Grove Street and are slowly growing in power. They have a very structured lineage reminiscent to their cultural background as tribes. The Samoans have adopted 'Crip' common behavior and they've since been seen wearing 'Crip' affiliated colors and using language we've noted in other Crip affiliated gang sets. Although smaller in numbers than other gangs we've seen in the area, they continue to grow in size. Their main source of income is street-level distribution of powdered cocaine, crack cocaine, marijuana and methamphetamine. The gang is also involved in various illegal activities including assault, auto theft, burglary, carjacking, drive-by shooting, robbery and homicide. Background Tolani Apatu and Iosefa Ausage (Left to Right) Currently serving life in prison On December 8th, 2019 - Tolani Apatu and Iosefa Ausage, the original founding fathers of the Sons of Samoa Crip gang in Los Santos have murdered a rival gang member in El Corona at around 1:30AM, the victim was 16 year old Carlos Morales; Police say that he was affiliated with the infamous Mara Salvatrucha 13 gang. A witness stepped forward and addressed that the duo were dressed in all black, hooded up with black rags over their faces. They then proceeded walked up to the rival member and shot him in the head at point blank range, shortly letting a barrage of bullets into his lifeless body. The duo then got into a 2005 Toyota Camry and sped off into the night. After further investigation, detectives and police say there was a shooting six hours earlier involving Carlos Morales in a drive-by shooting which was botched. The duo did it in retaliation.
