In an era where smart technology permeates every facet of our lives, the indispensability of chips has become apparent. However, the production of these chips remains scarce, with Taiwan and the Netherlands emerging as the dominant players in the industry. Valuable chips can be salvaged and repurposed, considering the economic viability of extraction and the existence of secondary markets. Regrettably, these secondary markets exist within the shadows, plagued by counterfeiting issues and potential national security risks. Additionally, there is the potential for extracting valuable materials such as gold and silver through meticulous chemical deconstruction processes.

 

Enter my character, a prodigious individual well-versed in the realm of technology and electronics. With a mind teeming with ingenuity, they conceived a compelling idea: procuring stolen electronics, meticulously disassembling them to extract their valuable components, and subsequently shipping them to China or selling them within the United States. The very first day of my store's opening saw a stream of individuals eager to sell their pilfered electronics. Recognizing the potential for this enterprise to serve as a focal point for immersive roleplay experiences, I embarked upon this endeavor with enthusiasm.

 

To ensure the legitimacy of transactions, prospective sellers are required to provide compelling evidence in the form of screenshots showcasing the acquisition process. Whether they opt to simulate breaking into cars and engage in roleplay centered around extracting stereos or other valuables, or whether they choose to portray burglaries, the quality and immersion of the roleplay will determine the purchasing price. Once acquired, I personally immerse myself in the roleplay, meticulously evaluating the feasibility of either fully extracting and reusing the salvaged components or selectively focusing on the most valuable components for shipping and sale.

@Yeager I don't see much of a plan. What do you plan on roleplaying that would get you the money and how do you plan on doing that?

I'll roleplay disassembling the electronics, taking out their valuable parts, then either re-using those in repairs, or shipping them to China where they will use them to make cheap shit you buy off Aliexpress or wish. Another one of my faction members had an idea, we package the components then do a refund scam. Amazon basically takes anything, dudes send bricks in boxes to Amazon and request refunds. So that was another option.

I would still like to see some element of risk in this roleplay. What do you think of the idea of you (or someone else) rob people off those electronics (phones etc) so that you can re-use those components to profit off it? Would that be something you'd want to do? That'll give enough risk to the roleplay for it to be rewarding

Actually, I got an even better idea. How does robbing an electronics store sound?

 

There's one over at Sinner Street where you can /enter too. That would justify you getting all the required electronics etc

I dont think robbing my own electronics store will be profitable lmao. I prefer your first idea, stealing phones maybe doing burglaries. Was thinking hijacking trucks too.
