“Constructive”? Dismissing concerns as “saying the same things over and over” isn’t constructive, it’s dismissive. Disagreeing is fine, but if you can’t engage respectfully or address criticism without deflecting, don’t expect anyone to take you seriously. If your intention wasn’t to be toxic, then I appreciate you recognising the need to improve.

The gist of this thread:

Players complain about the state of the server and offer suggestions to improve it. Management/staff refuses to listen for months. Once the player count dwindles, staff frantically asks for suggestions. They're told it's too late - not everything can be salvaged, specially not this late - which is met with the standard "don't be negative" response. Meanwhile, some admin(s) who recently reinstated or promoted, will post that everything's fine and try downplaying everything every now and again, so that they can try to score a promotion. 

 

It's a tale as old as time. Maybe slap an image of a new map on top of this (which may or may not be the final map btw) and that'll save LSRP.

I'm really sorry but a single reply of mine, brought back a wave of hatred from people I've seen first time in my life.

 

I had regular trolls going over my twitch page to find a snap of my stream to post it here and call me out for something illegal and whatnot.

 

For all I care, about those, because it's literally nothing towards me and doesn't affect me at all.

 

But do you see how quickly, people can bite another?

All I had to do, was reply back in a way that you can jump in and fight.

 

Now, I cannot and obviously I will not take on my shoulders all mistakes that have happened to you directly especially of I'm not part of them.

So why am I the problem?

 

You find a person, and you point the finger at him/her, then call them the "reason of the decline" or "people like you are the reason of the decline", call them names and on and on.

 

The moment you get the answer back, the defense is simple.

 

"We're telling that for years all you do is deflect".

"Toxic admins like you destroy the server!"

 

Easy defense too, and really a hit under the belt.

 

Because infact, I've personally been online on dead hours and tried to engage with the players.

I've single handledly sat down with new players and tried to show them where is what and helped them around to get started.

I've handled situations via /re and also on forum reports, where I've done exactly what you stated by using common sense and most of the times shutting the report before it was even initiated due to the fact that the reported party is the one that did the dumb thing.

 

But these really don't matter at all.

Because that's what I signed up for. I don't want a cookie for doing my job.

 

There are people who replied here, who don't even play lsrp anymore. They just reply here to throw insults, try to hurt people online and just utilize every last brain cell they have to be mean. Which is by itself pathetic.

Jack posted few pages ago, that we're undergoing an actual staff restructure. Hell I might be even removed due to that, and I'll take the hit, if it's for the better.

 

Deadweight will be removed.

If you have admins or testers that you think are not up to par, forward them to the respective Head of Testers or Admins so they can be reviewed, but you use actual evidence about it.

 

But no, already removed staff they have to appeal their process, if they feel what Management did was wrong.

 

I'm willing to take any hit, because I've grown up in this server and I actually enjoy it, even if I'm met with people who try to be dicks behind their computer screen.

 

As I said again, and I truly believe it, we are on the same boat and we sail with it.

 

I'm willing to adapt to move on, and I'm actually usually trying to snatch bits of these threads and put them through in staff discussions to use them in your benefit.

I agree with you here.

 

LSRP needs to change few things around, our current management with jack, seems to be moving in a better direction.

Hopefully it will be consistent and on point, so players feel the change.

This is an endless cycle of bashing, constant alt account usage to say foul things and try to derail the thread.

 

There are 31 pages, out of which about 10 are valuable.

 

I am going to lock this.

 

BUT.

 

I will personally review all the answers, one by one.

I will create a list which I'll post it here.

 

The reason I'm doing this is because this is just a thread that inflates hate but derails from the main reason it was created.

 

The list I'll post will be forwarded cleanly to Management so they can give us the action plan (on top of the one we're already creating).

Thank you to everyone who bothered to provide meaningful feedback. We'll address it throughout upcoming posts. Several staff members, besides the leadership, has taken actions to improve on some of it already.

 

In the meantime, you don't need to start another thread for general feedback and we won't allow any more of them for the time being because it unfortunately always derails into staff and player bashing.
