  4. The blunt truth is all products decline eventually. However, you can stave off decline via: Improvement - Faster, cheaper, nicer, easier to use Refreshing things - New design, new packaging, new features Find new users - Different group or for a new purpose Reposition the server - Change the story about why it matters What doesn't work: Shouting louder and marketing the same product Pretending decline isn't happening Claiming something is still good because it used to be is a risk. You either fix it properly with a clear deadline, or shut it down and move on. Dragging it out only wastes people's time. Something that can bind people together is a clear vision. Clearly explain how LS-RP's SAMP future can beat RageMP. If that's not clear, then people won't stay. Either produce a believable roadmap that gives players a real reason to choose here over there, or accept the answer the market has already given and step aside. I've got nothing but love for this server and community, I hope the management team gather the feedback and figure it out.
  5. Dont want neither to invtest too much time responding to this thread but neither troll it. Will drop just few lines. I find it funny how the admins favorite's (legal faction members) were the first to abandon the ship called LSRP and even claim admin positions in other servers when the same admins who did favor them and the elitists groups in the servers pushed away many SERIOUS and good factions (Bastards MC, Bellomo) because it took literally months for a backdoor of a buisness to get added or for a business change of location. And then we got people like clack packer bonekrusher etc, who might have trolled once 1 year ago and broke ROE getting hunted and punished as its their fault the server is declining and they are the ones pushing new players away. Yet these people are dropping their last cents here still, when noone else does. Says a lot about the community love of this server and sadly says a lot about managment point of view. As for people thinking they can compete vs the competition at GTA V, just remind yourself how many LSRP competitors were popping on and off back in the day (even in 2025) and their ending. Its complete nonsense. Focus on SAMP, dont even compare it to GTA V because the experience is different and we dont play SAMP because we cant run V but because SAMP is a different experience all together. 7. Yes. And consider expanding roles for trusted members of the community that are elected and chosen by the community to represent them without strings and powers attached beyond that, like administrative powers etc. It is obvious at this point that the current system breeds yes men. Look what happened to Aloosh's comment on the previous thread and the subsequent comment from admin's discord that leaked shortly after. Consider it a court jester role. Somebody needs to spill the truth without feeling compelled to hold back because of some sort administrative role or whatever.
  8. I'll try to mention a few words as an player since 2008. LSRP has always been the soul of all heavy RP communities. Every other community that was established was under the inspiration of LSRP, by grace and not by merit. The last playerbase crash was severe for several reasons, in which both management and players played a part. It started with toxicity between the players and the rivalry getting out of hand. Now for the main point and the rather critical reason, which is the leadership. Where the hell are you Mmartin? The donations died down, and that's not even an interesting topic, but as the symbol of LSRP, you should have been here during these times too. I feel that the current leadership is operating and choosing the community's "settings" according to their own private needs, not to serve the community. Only those close to the plate are chosen and enjoy the benefits. - These discussions feel like a stuck video to me, and every time there's disappointment with the outcome. I hope this time there will be a significant change that can restore this dismal situation. Peace out, fays3l #FreeEveryone
  9. Whatever posts are being deleted / removed do not have any value being in this thread. Time and time again we have said we do not want this thread derailed. One post was trying to relate this on the actions of Napoleon in 1812. It's simply added noise.
  10. Why are posts still being removed? If the staff team wants us players to trust them, then you should return the favor by trusting us. This is not the way to go.
  11. Given how far the server has fallen and with many capable people leaving for various reasons over the years, there's no question finding a suitable leader is a tall task. What I would like to see is a proven, respected, experienced leader and roleplayer who brings forth a vision that the community will rally behind; a uniter and strong team-builder who is willing to put the community's interests ahead of their own, meaning compromising their own personal desires for the greater good and reinvesting donation money into improving the server instead of lining their own pockets. They need to be taking the job out of their love for LSRP. In my mind, it doesn't have to be a current or former administrator because many of the most capable people for this position have never had the desire to climb the staff ranks due to the menial tasks involved and would rather focus on roleplaying, but they may have interest in a monumental position like this where they can focus on big picture solutions that brings life back to LSRP. No matter who it is—whether they have prior LSRP staff experience or not—they will have strengths and weaknesses, so they will need to be an effective delegator who can keep the ship moving in the right direction. They certainly don't need to treat it like a full-time job but they do need to be available regularly enough to oversee the operation properly and engage with the community. I don't know who would be interested but I'm confident an opportunity like this may bring some old legends out of the woodwork. Whoever's track record and proposal best meets this criteria would get my vote. I greatly appreciate the discussion so far and understand morale is low right now but must say I do question the intentions behind some of the "LSRP SAMP is dead, stop beating a dead horse" type of comments. If that's your opinion, fine, but what are you doing here? I don't think anyone here believes we can return to the golden age of LSRP when it was regularly hitting 500+ players, but we can improve upon the current state of the server and make it a great place to roleplay once again. With the right leadership, vision, and teamwork, we can make a new golden age that looks a little different, albeit on a smaller scale. It is possible, but the negative, defeatist, apathetic mindset I'm seeing in some of these posts doesn't help the cause.
  12. Just on these points about no one from leadership responding. We want to allow open conversation to happen, the last thread blew up quick and then descended into what it was, didn't give us a real chance to respond properly and spent the time firefighting instead. This ones been open for nearly a day and thankfully hasn't spiralled. I'm currently reading what's been said in this thread and collating a response, so we can converse and be transparent, staff team to the players. Give me a little bit of time and you'll have a response within a few hours.
