Add the start / stop upgrade my bro. It's standard binded to 'Z' in /keybinds. You can use it to start / stop vehicles (that have the start / stop upgrade installed) with a hotkey.

Yaffa here, the CEO of the San Andreas Network (SAN). We have been actively trying to improve our news content, not only on the forums but also within the game itself.
Now, we want to involve all of you in a brainstorm session! We'd love to hear your ideas on how we can better integrate our news content directly into the game server. This isn't limited to just in-game events, but also how we can utilize the forums to better connect with you all.
Some questions to consider:
What type of news are you interested in seeing in the game?
How can we engage with the community more effectively, both in-game and on the forums?
Any ideas on in-game events related to news broadcasting?
Right now what we can do is create articles on the forums as news coverage but I want to do more. That's why I would like to ask you all for ideas.

I think it will bring a lot of cohesion to the server because people will be aware of the same things at the same time. And maybe adjust their schedule accordingly.

Hello everyone, I have an idea for a news app for the IG phone.
I will list some possible features down here along with some visual aspects.
Purpose:
Having an in-game SAN News App would allow players to keep up-to-date with the latest IC events, updates, and announcements directly from their in-game phone. This would not only enhance immersion, but also provide a practical platform for players to stay informed about the current events and upcoming events.
Live News Feed: The main page of the app would feature a live news feed, providing real-time updates and news articles generated by SAN.
Categories: For better navigation and convenience, news should be categorized into different sections like Crime, Politics, Entertainment, Sports etc.
Push Notifications: Players could choose to receive push notifications for breaking news or specific categories of interest, keeping them in the loop about significant events as they happen.
Interactive Stories: The app could feature interactive stories or polls, encouraging players to participate and engage with the news content.
Comment Section: Under each article, there could be a section for players to comment and discuss, promoting more IC interaction and response to events.
Ad Spaces: Businesses could have the opportunity to advertise their services/products in the app, providing an additional stream of revenue for SAN and opportunities for player businesses to reach a wider audience.
UI all subject to change ofcourse. This is my basic view of the feature.

Job suggestions to improve the server!

I have run SAN from pretty much since the server started and so far I've had 2 applications which I both had to deny because of inactivity and insufficient English.
So when you say people love to RP news reporters that's not really true. Say there was a script to support more news, like I've been saying from the beginning, there'd be a lot more interest in news RP. Right now the server's scripts are solely focused on gang / mafia vs cop / sheriff RP. All the different systems in place for the PD to ticket vehicles, a whole computer system with everything, a complete darkweb, and not a single line of script for journalism or news RP. In an RP server. All I could do was post news on the forums, and later on Discord, which was nice, but it doesn't do anything IG or incentivize people to head IG.
I've tried to stay invested in the server but with the low playercounts and prominent people leaving lately it's really hard to find suitable news topics. I've tried contacting staff members to put more effort in the comms team because the entire team is dead on its ass. Many people want to give the server a boost but there is -so- little comms coming from the staff that it's just wearing me out. The community meetings were a great idea to keep the playerbase invested and there's been a few at the beginning of the server and that got dropped quick. I've also tried to get that back on its feet with no support. The last update (minor) was over a month ago. Devs posting snippets a 1,5 month ago about a phone anim and that has yet to make it IG. Don't show snippets of something if it takes ages to implement. A snippet should be implemented in a much smaller timeframe.
More than a month ago the news script RP (which should have been in since the beginning, 'barebones') was forwarded to devs and we've heard nothing about it. Adding to that... A simple camera, which has been requested from the beginning, has yet to make it into the server.
All these smaller jobs you're suggesting are good when the server's playercount is very high. Nobody wants to RP a janitor in an empty building when there's 50 people on. Everyone wants to be a part of something big, and when those parts are all filled -then- people will be interested in these smaller jobs. To climb up the social ladder. Right now all these jobs aren't needed, you can just roleplay them. Devs need to focus on other things, not giant new features but more features to upgrade all existing stuff. Implementing current approved suggestions. (Which is being done I believe)
I still hope the server takes a turn.
