  1. Over the past period, I have observed a growing trend within law enforcement roleplay on the server. In many situations, whether during traffic stops or other encounters, there seems to be a tendency for officers to provoke escalation. Often, this gives the impression that the goal is to push the scene toward action, usually ending in a shootout. I believe this raises an important question: at what point did LSRP’s law enforcement factions begin shifting in this direction? And more importantly, shouldn’t the Legal Faction Team step in to establish clearer standards and expectations? It is somewhat concerning to see the overall quality of roleplay within the LSPD and LSSD decline when compared to past years. On a more positive note, I would like to highlight the excellent work done by Code Enforcement. Their approach demonstrates consistency, character development, and a clear commitment to maintaining high-quality roleplay. It sets a strong example of how legal factions can enhance immersion while remaining professional and engaging. I am genuinely interested to hear the wider community’s thoughts on this matter, as I believe it’s an important discussion for the overall direction of legal roleplay on the server.

  3. I usually don't pass comment on these types of threads, but after removing a number of stupid comments - I guess I will. This thread will be likely locked soon, sooner if people can't hold a mature conversation; topics like this can never go long before devolving into finger pointing and stupid remarks by a few bad actors. We appreciate genuine feedback, be that positive or negative but we're not entertaining derailing/faction bashing. What I'd keep in mind, is that as a player you're not privy to the warnings people receive - or the notice that the staff team, or relevant faction leaders take to certain players. If there are issues with individuals, you need to report either in-game or over the forums or else we'll never know in order for any action to be taken - as n0de said. I can personally speak to how responsive the Head of Legal Factions (n0de) is in addressing concerns that the community have, and putting rules in place based on that feedback often to the dismay of the factions it applies to. Things like, restrictions on how both PD and SD use helicopters have recently been changed simply based on the communities feedback. Personally, I'm in PD (not very actively) as well as an official illegal faction and I see scenarios play out from both sides. Both sides have very valid complaints about one another which are extremely hard to address given that its not just one player, it's often an atmosphere fostered within a faction which is much harder to change. Recently I've seen an increase in illegal factions sitting in public with an arsenal of weaponry strapped to each one of their backs/stored on the floor nearby. Back in the day, I recall the exact same players/factions always putting their weapons up after being shot at/coming back from a faction attack etc. because they were aware that something may have happened to prompt an interaction from PD/SD and they don't want to be caught with a gun on them. This isn't the attitude players have anymore. There is no fear which is a massive part of why factions are struggling to slip under the radar with LEO factions and feel targeted. That being said, I have 100% witnessed PD/SD ruining illegal role-player's motivation to RP before my eyes too, and I do really empathise with anyone who feels they've been victim to this as it can be extremely demotivating. I'd like to reiterate that if you feel there's a rule or guidance that could be put in place to promote a healthier balance/relationship between illegal factions and PD/SD - we're happy to hear them but this thread isn't going to achieve that. Suggesting to close PD or SD simply isn't going to achieve anything constructive. The Illegal Faction Council/Team would also be happy to support you or your faction members in raising these concerns or ideas to the appropriate team/staff members.

  4. God I miss when parolees were always available. SADCR used "roleplay rich" approaches, always used words, and never used guns. The server's current standards is just a big "it is what it is".

  7. I’ma say it from the SD side, since that’s the faction I’m in right now, even tho I been in PD and SD too. The standard (talking RP standards on LSRP) dropped heavy, I run into folks almost daily that can’t even write English right. And when the server standard drops, the LSPD/LSSD standard to RP serious and detailed like before drops too. The server been Koky’s DM spot for a long time now, just don’t carry that name. Players DM LSPD/LSSD every single day, I die at least twice daily bcause someone decide to Driveby an OSS unmarked car. Economy and guns on the server? Completely fucked up. Folks got like twenty Deagles stashed, so dying to LSPD or LSSD ain’t no problem, they just pull out the same gun again

  8. Black Organized Crime in modern day Los Angeles is decentralized - heavily rooted in prison networks, streetgangs, and out of state DTO's using the city as their stomping grounds. Our faction hosts a wide variety of characters to accurately reflect this. Great attention is placed on fostering long-running storylines that tie every person in the faction together, as well as offer depth to each individual one's portrayal. Membership is open to both new and pre-established African-American characters, queries about joining should be sent to @boris1, @Iamkaciii, or @Gnarp.

  11. I made this suggestion months ago, back when PD’s subpar roleplay and constant provoking, almost daily, led Grape Street to respond with “mass deathmatching” That ultimately caused Grape to shut down, making them look like the bad guys. Now Harlow has to deal with PD/SDs constantly debauchery on a daily basis. I see it almost every night when I’m in Idlewood, doesn’t matter who you are either. Gangs cannot function and or properly roleplay with the provoking from SD/PD. This server averages probably 90 players a day during peak as of late. We don’t need two departments. Drop one and focus on the other. If we had 400+ players a day I’d be all for 2 departments, but we have 90 for probably 40 minutes. Shut down PD. The server would benefit incredibly.

  16. 🔴 Breaking News: Rapper D. Cook Arrested on possession of illegal firearms and evading Charges Amid New Music Release. Los Santos - Local rapper D. Cook, who has been gaining momentum in the city’s underground music scene, was arrested late last night following a high-speed chase that ended near Idlewood Pizza Stacks. 17. "Absolute power corrupts absolutely" is a famous observation by British historian Lord Acton, stating that unchecked authority inevitably leads to a decline in moral standards and the abuse of power, often resulting in tyranny and corruption.
