How is this even constructive? This is why LSRP has a issue with staff members. You're in a position where you can voice your opinion and try to push for things where you're say might hold a little more weight than the rest of us. I don't know whether your active or not but again, why even voice your opinion if you've given up. Because, that's what it seems like to me.3 points

Given the fractured relationship b/w the management and the community, I don't see how the RAGE server will be a success. Treating the same community like shit and then expecting the same community to follow you to RAGE doesn't make sense. Why would anyone trust the same people in charge to suddenly turn good when a new server launches? The devs and management should focus on mending relationships with the community, dishing out a few high priority updates and finding a way to reach out to old players, telling them the SAMP server is back. I bet most don't even know LSRP had relaunched. The SAMP server is not hopeless as some are making it out to be. Even giving the semblance of activity should motivate players enough to stick around. At the moment it seems that apart from a handful of staff members, nobody else is putting in an effort to keep the server active. All of this compounds to giving a sense of stagnation and decline, which can easily be remedied. Why would the community stick around knowing the management's focus is not entirely on SAMP? Adopting a proactive approach rather than a reactive approach is necessary to keep the server healthy at this moment. Even in the Mapping Team I wish we did more proactive work rather than responding to requests if/when they come. Reaching out to players for mapping, rather then being expected to reached out to is what will keep the server healthy in this moment. Even adding little environment mappings occasionally or auctioning pre-furnished interiors would go a long way. A faction thread will get archived the minute it reaches 7 days of inactivity, but property requests, ban appeals, suggestions, classifieds etc. will sit there for months before they are processed. This just shows the core issue with LSRP at the moment and why moving to RAGE won't fix anything. A lot of people left the SAMP server because of the drop in the standard of roleplay and poor management, rather than shitty graphics, which is the only thing GTA V has over GTA SA, so I don't see how moving to RAGE fixes the core issue. Unless the issues at SAMP are fixed, I doubt anybody would be willing to move to RAGE.3 points

Personally I think Mmartin should already start developing the GTA 6 RP server. Given his track record and the numerous delays, if he starts now he might be able to deliver on time. If not, he will be too late and Nervous will take control of the GTA 6 RP market as well. /s I don't think there are enough players that would play on LSRP:V, given the current player base on samp. I wouldn't mind playing on GTA 5 given it's a much nicer and smoother experience, but why play on a server that might get 50 players at peak instead of the behemoth that is GTA:World? What incentives are there for players and ex-lsrpers currently being active on world. How can a healthy PB be reached? I think SA-MP shows the most promise right now to at least stay alive with a decent player base.3 points

I don't see how LS-RP:V can succeed. Any hint of faith the community had in a LS-RP:V server was shattered after the N delays and broken promises as well as absolute shite communication between management and community, as always. The launch was a disaster and you really only get one launch, there are no do overs. There's just no place for LS:RP on that scene, everybody and his dog on GTA:W. So what's the point? Why keep the community and staff splintered? Pick a course and stick to it.2 points

Port of East Beach __________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia The Port of East Beach, also known as the Harbor Department of the City of Los Santos, is the second-busiest container port in the United States, after the Port of Los Santos, which it adjoins. Acting as a major gateway for US-Asian trade, the port occupies 3,200 acres (13 km²) of land with 25 miles (40 km) of waterfront in the city of East Beach, San Andreas. The Port of East Beach and approximately 25 miles (40 km) south of downtown Los Santos. The eaport generates approximately US$100 billion in trade and employs more than 316,00 people in Southern San Andreas. Early History (1911-1960) ______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ The San Pedro Breakwater was started in 1899 and over time was expanded to protect the current site of the Port of East Beach. The Port of East Beach was founded on 800 acres (3.2 km2) of mudflats on June 24, 1911, at the mouth of the Los Santos River. The old Municipal Pier was rebuilt into the Municipal Wharf in 1925. In 1925 construction started on Pier A and Pier B, with opening of Pier A in 1930. By 1926 more than one million tons of cargo were handled, and additional piers were constructed to accommodate the growing business. In 1921, oil was discovered at the East Beach Oil Field on and around Signal Hill. In 1932, the fourth-largest oil field in the United States, Wilmington Oil Field, was discovered; much of this field was underneath East Beach and the harbor area itself. The hundreds of oil wells from Wilmington Oil Field provided oil revenues to the City of Los Santos. The first offshore oil well in the harbor was brought online in 1937, shortly after the discovery that the oil field far extended into the harbor. In the mid-1930s, the port was expanded, largely due to the need to transport oil to foreign markets, as the immense output of oil from the Los Santos Basin caused a glut in US markets. The extraction of hundreds of millions of barrels of oil caused concern for subsidence, as the overlying land collapsed into the empty space over time. Engineers and geologists were promptly assigned to the problem, building dikes for flood control at high tide. East Beach became a home port for the United States Navy's Pacific Fleet in 1932. In 1940 the navy purchased 105 acres on Terminal Island built the East Beach Naval Shipyard there. In 1946, after World War II, the Port of East Beach was established as "America's most modern port" with the completion of the first of nine clear-span transit sheds. Pier E was completed and Pier B was expanded to two times its size in 1949. Pierpoint Landing completed on Pier F in 1948, becoming a large sport fishing spot. Concerns regarding subsidence increased until Operation "Big Squirt," a water injection program, halted any progression of sinking land in 1960. Recent History (2012-present) __________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Between 2012 and 2014, as part of a decision made by the then Mayor of Los Santos, Rakesh Namir, the Port Authority operated as a branch of the Bureau of Public Utilities. This decision was eventually reversed by Mayor Frank Vaughn in 2015, autonomizing Port Authority operations as a seperate contract. In 2016, the San Andreas Longshore and Warehouse Union went on strike, closing down the ports of East Beach and Los Santos. The labor clash which lasted several days and caused ships to be backed up into the pacific ocean marked it the worst cargo traffic disruption at the East Beach and Los Santos harbors. The union, at the time, was objecting to Republican Governor Jesse Style's decision to nullify the terms of their contact, specifically prohibiting port security from conducting security-related duties in the dockyards. Mayor Frank Vaughn gave a speech, as did Representatives Jep Appelo and Katherine Summers in solidarity with the workers impacted by the injunction: primarily members of the SALWU Local 2. In 2019 and the following years, through numerous organizing rallies and an increase in collaboration among business, labor and government agencies, the International Brotherhood of Longshoreman (IBL) Local 1218 became the primary dock workers union on the Port of East Beach, representing most employees at the terminals. In 2020, a bill titled the Safe Shores Act of 2020 was introduced by Senate President Pro Tempore Eugene Park (D-3), establishing the San Andreas Harbor Department, the Office of the Harbor Department Chair, and the San Andreas Harbor Commission. The Board of Harbor Commissioners would oversee the operations, budgets, inspections and the development of regulatory codes and policies concerning the terminals, facilities and premises at the Port of San Fierro, the Port of East Beach and the Port of Los Santos. The Port of East Beach was the scene of Senator Eugene Park's assassination, following the announcement of Senator Charles Moreno's (D-5) run for the position of Lieutenant Governor. Economy __________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ The port's combined import and export value is nearly $100 billion per year. The seaport provides jobs, generates tax revenue, and supports retail and manufacturing businesses. More than $800 million a year is spent on wholesale distribution services in the city. In the City of Los Santos, port operations generate more than 230,000 jobs, with more than $10 billion a year going to distribution services in the city. On the state level, the Port of East Beach provides about 370,000 jobs and generates close to $5.6 billion a year in state and local tax revenues. Environment __________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ The twin ports of Los Santos and East Beach are, together, the single largest source of air pollution in the metropolitan Los Santos area. Both ports have implemented a number of environmental programs to reduce pollution levels while continuing port growth. Governance __________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Harbor Department The Harbor Commissioners set policies for the Port of Los Santos and the Port of East Beach. Commissioners are appointed by the Secretary of State or Lieutenant Governor and are confirmed by the State Senate. They may serve terms in increments of three month, without a term limit. I don’t see why they’re still bothering with GTA 5. LSRP had its chance, but it’s clear it will never surpass GTA W at this point. The focus should be on keeping LSRP strong on SAMP and actually delivering the improvements the community has been asking for. If not, SOLS will end up taking everyone who’s grown tired of waiting. Even if SOLS is limited to SP factions only, people will compromise just to avoid the endless delays here.1 point

Seeing guns through is negotiable because cops can simply put lsrp's ip in the config and make sure guns aren't visible through the windows on lsrp anymore. It's something that can be avoided but people choose not to. Even when I told those cops who confessed they pulled me over because they saw guns through silentpatch. > Also, let's not kid anybody, who really does character development of all the illegal roleplayers running around 4-deep I assume you're a legal roleplayer because you obviously don't know how it goes as an illegal roleplayer. And if you're a illegal roleplayer, you'd know how much people emphasize on character development in bigger factions. Out of all the traffic stops I've been at, and all the traffic stops that I've witnessed, all of them were traffic stops with atleast 6 cops with a /meg "Step out with your hands up:", I got pulled over multiple times and cops trying to arrest me because of "suspicious driving". People are just making up reasons as they go. Not recently you've had cops (who by the way is one of the ppl who is part of the cycle) banned for cheats and others being accused of it. I know you want to defend your friends but don't say things you don't know and what others value. I'm sure some people play the victim card, but by far not everyone. The fact you're instantly saying that shows me you genuinely don't care.1 point
