The state of PD has spiraled downhill, we all know and can see the issues but it's like people are scared to act on it? Rules need to be put in place the same way we have ROE's for illegal factions, because it's getting ridiculous & before anyone speaks n talks shit about "ah you gangs just shoot police" I will happily do jail time/engage/RP with police, I'm all here for it. But when total TRASH robotic role-play is being put forward it just demotivates me & many others. 

 

Let the community that keeps this server running voice their opinions here, you can easily remove the ones who talk nonsense.

Simply put, the server was at its best when it actually had a PD team who upheld standards. Its been a mess for a minute. People join PD rn because they want to shoot, thats it. There are zero thoughts behind most PD characters other than "how can I turn this into a shootout" - which isn't how it used to be.

 

We have cops camping hoods. We have zero interactions anymore. The relationship with PD and gangs used to be hilarious, random checks (for character/storyline development, not because you want to find a gram and cause a scene), used to be the same PD faces, interacting with the same gang faces, throwing shade/jokes, actually being realistic. Not every scene needs to end with an arrest!

 

I feel PD right now have a P2W attitude, everything is about how they can out on the positive end of situations, all the time. Something needs to change or we'll be driving people away from the server, without a doubt.

Getting raided day in, day out because a gun was spotted over a leveled ground of a dark frontyard/backyard during the night time which could not be possible. Really does get tiresome and extinguishes the drive for passive gang roleplay.

I'm an illegal RPer through and through but the same guys that decry DM, inter-faction drama, and OOC power brokerage on my side of the fence are the same ones that help to perpetuate it. All this holier-than-thou blame shifting is pathetic.

I was very vocal about the state of cops and robbers for years. I was happy to see people like Scumpy try their hand at doing something different to counter the mentality transpiring these days. 
 

As for the illegal side; there seems to be an extreme level of hyper DM mentality lately. Reading some of the player reports, it is honestly astonishing the lengths people go through to form over exaggerated reasons to rain bullets on oppositions over spilled milk. There’s a report up right now where a group of people are justifying murdering people over minor fender benders. 
 

I just believe this sort of mentality hinders the server from growing. Not every interaction has to lead to guns being drawn and bodies being dropped in the middle of broad daylight.

I am an illegal roleplayer, I’ll put this scenario out for you guys which had happened yesterday.

 

My faction and I were getting ready for a hit. 
 

An SD patrol saw a member with an MP5 getting in my car.

 

However PD came to the call, about 5 minutes later outside of LS after following us, 5 cars deep.

 

After a pursuit we’ve wanted to barricade in our faction complex. 
 

What did PD do once we’ve ran for the entrance? Wiped us out entirely for simply running.

 

Their excuse? They’ve had 2 failed raids in that complex this month so they didn’t wanna go through with it again.

Another scenario was when PD kept targetting a faction member, who was only the driver. We’ve died in 3 instances to PD in under 30 minutes over repetitive felony stops on the same member. They didn’t have any common courtesy to just let it be, camped our turf until they’ve finally managed to get the guy they’ve wanted, on a fourth pursuit. And killing another member for the fourth time.

Overall the PD/SD scene atm is deplorable.

The server has become overrun with trolls and low-quality factions, with admins allowing them to target players without proper oversight continuously.

There’s also a noticeable lack of business roleplay; almost no establishments are open anymore, except for Rogue, which is rare.
Instead, the server seems to revolve around free weapons and senseless shootouts.

For the past two days in a row, I’ve been robbed and killed by the same group of players who are blatantly deathmatching, and nothing seems to be done about it. It feels like I can’t even spawn without immediately becoming a target.
 

Unfortunately, the PD isn’t much better either; players can kill and disrupt as much as they want without facing any sanctions.

At this point, it feels like senseless violence is all the server has to offer, which is a far away from the state server was in five or six years ago.

What my guy said pretty much sums up my opinion too. The server wasn't like this 7-8 months ago.

 

I blame the current guidelines set for the admins, which I can only correctly assume are placed by management.

Well, I don’t really know what to say about that. I do see businesses opening quite often whenever I hop in game.

Also, regarding this, I believe the server is currently in a position where players have a good variety of decent factions to choose from when it comes to joining.

However, I also raised the concern about quality control.

Considering we’re working with around a 90-player base, I think faction roleplay is actually in a solid state, especially when looking at the number of people who log into the game every one or two days.

 What are those guidelines? 🤔 Why do you think admin guidelines, has anything to do, with how faction roleplay runs on the server, talking about both legal and illegal.

 

Besides this, I just want to add that I’ve had my fair share of Illegal vs. Legal roleplay in the past, both within factions and through solo roleplay.

From my experience, it all depends on the people involved, not just on the rules or guidelines.

If both parties want to create a quality experience, it will happen. It’s a two-sided effort both need to do their part properly.

This is the RP you grace us with every night, Kane. Then get bodied eventually. Doesn't it get old for you?

We don't mind losing guns and drugs, but ya'll are just robotic about it. Feels like I'm on a cops & robbers server lately, there's 0 RP coming from PD. 

 

It's gotten to the point where we can't even take a drive out of our hood without a police car htiting an U-Turn and pulling us over. And it's not roleplay, atp it's deliberate targeting. 

Just shooting people down without RPing, ramming bikes to avoid a chase, switching between MP5s and Deagle's mid shoot out like this is CS:GO, list goes on. If PD is allowed to be a DM faction, EHC will follow suit. Then we will all just hop in game and shoot shit out with LSPD. 

EDIT: Just noticed @badhbh shut down the last thread citing "it has served it's purprose", literally the same day that thread was opened. It's not like it was a dead discussion. 

 

That seems to be management's stance on things, because obviously they do not see a problem with the way LSPD does things, so this thread is also useless.

Solution can be only one, cops like they are forced to be voice chat it's time for them to be forced to record their gameplay. END.

 

All the hustles could be solved, when a party thinks he got targeted unfairly or with DM intentions, a simple report, cop provide the clip to handling admin and no more drama. Can also be given IC same as radio with voicechat, the camera is mainstream in 2025

 

But forgot like that they can't abuse helicopter+ nametags+ freecam to find you from the other side of the map.

I encourage people to report via the proper mechanisms (contact faction leadership, contact HoLF, forum or staff reports) otherwise things will be missed.

 

No matter what people may think, reports are taken seriously and addressed with the relevant people - but they need to be made. As Head of Legal Factions I’ve made numerous changes over the past few months, all from the feedback of community members.

Cut this, when I’ve asked you and Meri “Why did you shoot us upon trying to enter our faction complex?” she didn’t answer and you told us it’s an IC issue. You couldn’t even speak on behalf of your faction for a fuck-up they did.

 

However on this thread I’ll praise Scumpy, unlike PD leadership / high ranks / admins, him and his high command really listen and fix up things if their party is in the wrong.
