What ONE thing do you wish LS-RP would do differently?

These kinds of open-ended wishing well threads were always a mixed bag on the "old" LS-RP but they'd never fail to bring some interesting ideas to the surface, especially from members of the community that might otherwise not engage with development. We're here to look towards the future of the community: Mmartin and company have been more than open about their willingness to let us help shape it so let's make the most of it.

Constructive critique of one another is fine but try to provide at least one original idea per post. It might provide an interesting jumping-off point for a suggestion thread.

It looks like LS-RP is here to stay, not just as a nostalgic reboot that will disappear in a couple of months. There’s a clear demand for it, and the fact that players can return to their original assets has made the experience even better—nobody wants to grind and farm jobs from scratch.

To retain its players, LS-RP can't afford to rest on its laurels. The server needs regular updates to maintain interest. Unlike in 2015, when LS-RP had no serious competition and could coast along, today there are alternatives, such as the other one on the RAGE platform. Back then, players stuck around because of the community and the assets they had accumulated over the years.

In this different era, I want to see LS-RP stay on top. The key to achieving this is by introducing new script features and keeping the server actively updated.

I second this. In my opinion that was the main contributor to the server losing popularity. Regular and consistent updates are IMPERATIVE to keeping the server alive and people interested. I personally have not been this invested and eager to roleplay in years and I honestly get the same feeling playing nowadays that I did back in the day. I know quite a few people that share that same exact mindset.

In order to not lose that interest so many people have is to make it worth our time and consistently improve the script and community.

I also think that it would be worth investing into a team whether it be extended staff or a staff team specifically geared towards assimilating new players into the game and helping them learn the correct way to play and RP on the server rather than having such a FiveM/light rp mindset that I feel a lot of the new players seem to have.

Try not to be the super strict community like the other ones that exist. Let people enjoy it as long as they're not Mass DMing or hacking.

This is the way. Embracing the fact that this is a GTA game will make it go far. Lax administration, eccentric characters, good script features. We had people roleplaying realistically in 2010 even with the horrendous standards at that time, everyone can find their niche.
