  8. Again, like previously, the topic has devolved into a back and forth with names being thrown about in an inappropriate setting. I refer you all back to my message below, evidently there are issues from certain people's perspectives, so I look forward to receiving reports about them via the appropriate channels.
  9. I'll take from evidence from now on, but this "the heli saw it" has been used on us countless times. It's their main source of pulling up if we're hiding behind things on defence, with guns.
  10. In regards to this both SD and PD helicopters aren't even meant to call in people with guns in the first place unless they're comitting a crime or pointing it at someone. Moving between cars or simply existing with it doesn't allow them report the sighting. This is a principle the LSPD has had has an internal faction rule for the last year and a half (Originally suggested on LSPD forums and implemented by Michael when he was Chief of Police.) I believe it was made a legal faction rule so it now applies across the board to both factions around a month or two ago. Just to pre-empt anyone who might have seen a situation take place last night which I ended up completely voiding. Helicopters cannot initiate these situations but yesterday a player informed the police ICly (basically snitched) of the whereabouts of those who were seen walking aroun with firearms infront of a complex by a ground (car) unit. So this is a good point to mention 07. Helicopters. If you believe someone broke this rule again; report it.
  11. Just to make it clear, when I posted this thread it was not aimed at SD at all, I've had nothing but fun interactions with them involving well role-played scenes. This is directed directly at PD. Another thing I will add is Kane needs to just either CK on Colt or go patrol the suburbs. He's died multiple times and returns within the hour like nothing has happened repeating the same "Can I see your bulge" line. It's boring & this is a person who is meant to be setting examples for his PD colleagues & the server, given his position in the staff team. Meri is also following close behind in his footsteps with the trash Robocop RP. This thread also isn't to have a tit for tat about gangs and how they portray themselves, make another thread for that. It's to discuss the current state of PD and that only, I believe all the serious responses from the LS-RP community should be looked into and taken into consideration. If there's a problem with illegal factions we should open a separate discussion to combat that.
  12. I’ve been noticing gangs sitting/standing on their porches with big/long guns out lately. I’m guessing it’s because you guys are on defense and have them ready in case someone rolls up to attack, fair enough. But here’s the issue: AIR can still see them, even if you’re behind a bush wall or anywhere patrol can't see. AIR will call it out if you’re waving it around or moving with it. The script support is better than ever right now. You can use /spawn to place objects, bags or whatever else may seem realistic to conceal the weapon. That way, they’ll stay hidden and even AIR won’t be able to spot them. You must use /place if you’re RPing having a blanket over the weapon, or under the seat or on the floor while others can see it on your lap or stuck to your chest. Whatever is seen on you is on you.
  13. I'll chime in this discussion as the last thread I posted on has since been archived. Speaking on behalf of SD leadership, we're striving to give the community the very best representation and a genuine LEO experience on the server. We've made endless changes to ensure we strike the balance right, and are able to account for our actions at any time. We welcome any feedback, whether positive or negative and you have our commitment that we will get back to you every time. I've personally removed ample people from the SD who do not conform to our standards, and we're committed to continuing this way. It really is about quality over quantity. If anyone wants to reach out to me about anything at all my discord is open for all. However with that said, everyone has an equal responsibility to improve the current state. This isn't one faction vs the other, this isn't illegal vs legal, everyone has a part to play.
