Los Santos County Sheriff's Department From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia "LSSD" redirects here. For other uses, see LSSD (disambiguation). Not to be confused with Los Santos Police Department or Los Santos County Office of Public Safety. The Los Santos County Sheriff's Department (LSSD), officially the County of Los Santos Sheriff's Department, is a law enforcement agency serving Los Santos County, San Andreas. LSSD is the largest sheriff's department in the United States. The LSSD houses approximately fifteen thousand employees—7560 sworn deputies and 7924 unsworn members. The department's two main responsibilities are to provide municipal police services within Los Santos County and courthouse security for the Superior Court of Los Santos County. In addition to providing municipal police services to the unincorporated communities within Los Santos County, it has contractual arrangements to provide services for 42 of the 88 independent cities withing Los Santos County. The LSSD also has contracts to provide services for the Los Santos Transit. In 2021, it was confirmed that numerous seperate gangs of deputy sheriffs within the LSSD had been known to be operating since the 1960s. These gangs engaged in a pattern of on/off-duty behaviour that intentionally violated the law or the fundamental principles of policing, including but not limited to, racial profiling, police brutality and police corruption. History Main article: History of the Los Santos County Sheriff's Department The Los Santos County Sheriff's Department, which was founded in 1850, was the first professional police force in the Los Santos area. The volunteer, Los Santos-specific Los Santos Rangers were formed in 1853 to assist the LSSD. They were succeeded by the Los Santos City Guards, another volunteer group. Neither force was deemed efficient and Los Santos became known for its violence, gambling and 'vice'. On December 20, 2008, the Los Santos County Board of Supervisors voted 4 to 1, to merge the Los Santos County Office of Public Safety into the Los Santos County Sheriff's Department. The merger took place on August 20, 2010. They operated out of the East Los Santos station and sported tattooed caricatures of a small, red devil on their left calves. They were known at the time to have at least 47 members. The "Wayside Whities" operated out of the Peter J. Pitchess Detention Center throughout the 1980s, their alleged mission being to "bring to heel" any incarcerated black men, especially those who fought with white prisoners. Los Santos blog outlet Knock LS has published a database of hundreds of LSSD employees found in court documents to be associated with deputy gang activity, including names of officers, gang affiliation, case number, deputy/badge/serial number, and department title. The Los Santos County Sheriff's Department (find us on https://sheriff.lsgov.us/) is a faction inspired by it's real life counterpart Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department. The primary focus with the faction is character development through realistic portrayal and roleplay.

LOS SANTOS COUNTY SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT OPERATION SAFE STREETS BUREAU This thread will showcase the media and character development of members of the LSSD Operation Safe Streets Bureau. Our goal is to provide an immersive interaction with illegal factions, particularly street gangs, where we can establish mutual respect and reach common ground in providing roleplay. We are open to roleplay opportunities and welcome any inquiries you might have. Through this thread, we want to show that we are equally committed to our development IC. While we draw inspiration from the real-life LASD questionable policing methods such as deputy cliques, we strictly adhere to the Legal Faction rules regarding corruption. Members interested in portraying corrupt characters must go through a formal application process, and only those who demonstrate exceptional character development will be granted. We aim to portray OSS as realistically and enjoyably as possible while maintaining fairness to those who we interact and ensuring the integrity of the Legal Faction Rules.

Suggestion for when the Server releases Suggestion: Allow each emergency vehicle to keep it's individual siren and NOT stick to ONE siren. as by vanilla default settings. (For example: the Sheriff SUV, Ambulance, Firetruck, FIB & Police Motorcycle has it's own individual siren.) Why should this suggestion be implemented?: This will create immersion and create more realism as different Police Department in the U.S use different sirens from companies. However, some departments will use different sirens on different units. Thus, I think it would be great idea especially for all you LSPDFR/LCPDFR nerds out there. How can this suggestion improve the server: Since RAGEMP has it's own separate game files, similar to how you install graphic or weapon sound mods. The players are allowed to install whatever preferred siren mod they'd like (E.X: Federal Signal/Unitrol TouchMaster, Whelen, or Code 3 Corporation Siren) Pros: Individualism for each siren, allows the players to make the decision of which siren they would like to install onto their GTA 5 gamefiles, very similar abilities which goes back to the SAMP/MTA RP days. especially if they're in PD/SD/FD it allows more and more immersion to perceive. Cons: Annoyance, to those who don't really care, understand, or not interested in Government RP the sirens might be annoying to them. But, again they would have the ability to choose to install custom audio mods or not. Reference: Additional Comments: Yes yes, I understand the first video is a mod from GTA SA. This is just referencing the suggestion. Obviously, if you look at the second video it just shows off a demonstration of default vanilla sirens being played. I just think if this was a feature it would bring more playercount, you guys know dang well when the server releases they're is going to be a competition between GTA World & this Community, not trying to start anything this is just my opinion GTA World is trash people are unfair and don't RP social interactions. I didn't even know where to go to RP, there weren't so RP zones. all the RP was basically in the gang areas. (Strawberry, Davis, Banning) Also not to mention I was denied on every each of my applications for FD, Lifeguard, & SD on the grounds of "not meeting OOC standards" yet there wasn't anything specified to what qualifies you as a Cop on a OOC level. I don't get it, anyways I'll stop rambling. I'd like to thank you guys for taking the time to reading this and hope y'all will consider it. Ain't nothing to big I hope. One more thing, I'd like to thank SD Command/HR/Academy for giving me a chance and letting me move onto the next stage after passing the Written.
