Theres a problem with accessibility of the game for new players. Unless they find their tribe right away, a lot of them aren't gonna grind for hours to get a pistol (if you're lucky and don't get scammed) and some shitty car. If you're like me in a North American timezone, there's maybe 13 players online and nothing to do besides the ol' grind. So at the end of the day the emphasis on factions on this server is a bit of a double edged sword. We see a lot of attention to detail and character development within faction roleplay, but outside of that the gameplay is pretty stale . And the future of faction roleplay relies on new players. People who often hover around for a while before finding their faction. For that reason I really like the buddy system you mentioned. Personally though I would loosen up the gun market. They don't have to be cheaper, just more accessible. I hate to say it but it's my biggest gripe with the server these days. I know DM is a concern but at the end of the day this is GTA SA and most new players don't wanna spend weeks joining a faction to get their hands on a pistol. New and faction less players shouldn't have to get a PF license for guns. They don't need an M4 or anything but even a shotgun with 4 rounds would be nice.

I think it's fine as is, it's like the 7/11 where I live. Like last night there I saw a guy in a panda costume walk by, crack heads screaming at each other in the parking lot, and drunk white girls going in to grab mixer...Idlewood Pizza Stack is a perfect level of chaos. Don't make it a safe zone, it's meant to be a hornets nest of noobs, trolls, gangstas and everything in between. It's a tradition.

I think the script is great and the GTA 5 platform has a lot of potential for a heavy RP community, but right now as a long time LSRP player (since 2009) I'm struggling to work up motivation to play on this server. Obviously I'm getting old, maybe too old to run around RPing gangbangers and that sort of thing, but I still have a lot of RP left in me. I have real life commitments, if I'm lucky I have a few hours at night to play games. I'm not gonna spend it grinding for hours and hours only to earn a mere fraction of the cost of a gun or vehicle. At the end of the day it's a GTA server, and people want their cars and guns. I could look past those things if the RP was bumping, but it's really not, at least not in my timezone. I've spent the majority of my time on here RPing as a crack head to try and stimulate the drug trade and get some funny interactions going, but its been very boring otherwise.

I played LSRP religiously from 2009-2014, and kinda half ass after that. It's the most unique gaming experience I've ever had. I think generation Y and younger would be the perfect player base. I'd return to it in any capacity, I miss talking shit and doing hood rat things in-game.
