Scriptwise knives aren't legal to carry in San Andreas. The length is below 4 inches to be legal.

There's at least 2 24/7s I've seen that you can walk into but can't /buy anything.

Well, 4 inches is a respectable size, but joke aside, being illegal to carry is different than being able to buy it. Maybe you need a 4 inch knife for hunting or for your job, should still be purchasable imo. You can buy it, but if you conceal the blade then it becomes illegal, but if you have it visible then it's legal?

And the clothing store is something I forgot to add, why do I have to go all around the map to see all the clothes, it's super annoying. And yes some 24/7's have 0 scripts and it's weird.

Admin Selection and Impact on Server:

    • Q. Admins should be like lifeguards or sports referees, interacting positively with players.

    • Agreed, but I feel that most admins online are interacting, patient and give plenty of chances for players, even if they don't behave. Although some admins haven't been online in weeks and I wonder why they are still staff if they're not playing (IRL issues to consider too)

    • Q. Some admins have been unpopular, affecting the server's health.

    • From my perspective I have seen a few issues with that, but nothing major to the point of affecting the server's health need more information on this to reply.

    • Q. It seems upper management hired admins who did not meet expectations, leading to skepticism about their abilities.

    • Having dealt with management and high LS-RP staff recently I must admit that the experience was good, but it took a lot of efforts to get my situation to be understood from my point of view to get something changed, but in the end it did get changed and management clearly showed signs of flexibility and willingness to adapt rules or rulings which is great.
    • Two-Factor Authentication and Customer Service:

      • Q. The issue of players locked out due to two-factor authentication should be taken seriously.

      • This is a major issue that should be a priority on the list as we need more players and shouldn't be ignored.

      • Q. Consider recognizing long-term players and providing incentives.

      • I think that recognizing long-term players is a good idea, maybe giving them some free premium time would be a good way to incentive them to play more and stay on the server ,or maybe some other perks that won't affect or cause jealousy to other players.

      • Q. Grinding should be balanced with roleplay abilities.

      • This is a very good point that I brought up multiple times, the grind on the server for new player is horrendous, the jobs are actually boring and I haven't seen a trucker, mower or garbage collector in weeks. The pay is horrible and it's just not enjoyable to do, but sadly trucking is dead and will remain dead until it become lucrative again, they feel like rpg elements and these 3 jobs don't fit with the server and feels like place-holders more than anything else. Our economy is already messed up a bit, and well we have nothing to really spend money on.

    • What Makes LSRP Great:

      • Q. LSRP's self-governance and player-driven nature stand out.

      • Agreed, the community and player-driven nature is quite good and much much better than some other servers, but a lot of people here are also quick to point fingers at others.

      • Q. The server thrived during periods of owner inactivity, relying on exceptional staff members.

      • Yes and these staff members are the reason this server is still alive right now and I'm thankful for them.

    • Possible Solutions:

      • Q. Research archived forums for past factions, notable players, and ideal staff members.

      • That's an interesting solution, and I feel like it could work but it might be hard for some players to come back if they experienced issues with staff rulings, or players, but worth a shot regardless.

      • Q. Seek individuals with social networks outside LSRP to diversify the player base.

      • Yes, yes and yes... This is a good idea, but the main issue is text-rp is not a very popular medium right now, especially with a strong competition. But again a good idea.

      • Q. Temporarily alter rules (i.e lower the robbery level to encourage roleplay.)

      • I agree with this, and also providing access to buy knives in a store would be nice, anyone can literally walk in Cabelas and buy a switchblade, and I feel like robberies with knives are much cooler, as for the level, once you're level 2 or 3 you should be able to get robbed, I don't have any issues with that. As long as robberies with rentals and bikes are prohibited as that's just a play to win attitude.

    • What Can Be Repaired:

      • Q. Encourage players to bring new faces to the server to combat clan warfare ideology.

      • New faces are always welcomed and yes less cliques would be a good idea.

      • Q. Address the decline of the Western player base and its impact on server standards.

      • The western player-base is literally dead, and I don't know if it's less toxic than the European player-base but LS-RP is unplayable for someone living in the PST or MDT timezone, and even EST timezone too to some extent. About the server standards I don't know if the western players are better or worse, I'm western myself but I don't think it matters.

      • Q. Promote character-driven conflicts over OOC disputes and improve combat roleplay.

      • Amen to that keep IC, IC and don't go ooc, please, please this is very very important.

    • Random Thoughts:

    • Q. Despite features, there's enough to enjoy on the server.
    • This is actually true, we have plenty of features to create role-play, yes we don't have a billion scripts, but it's not required to enjoy quality role-play and I agree that more scripts will attract players, but people need to give the server a second chance, and we need to prove them that it's worthy by setting good standards and create an enjoyable experience for new players.
    • Q. Consider map size and exterior interactive interior design for higher player interaction.(less /enter more open world interior locations i.e binco burger shot etc )
    • I agree with this but as stated by Fiendfyre, for some players with lesser computers it might create issues and may just create issues with the server regardless, but something that needs to be done is allow 24/7's and gas stations to be workable and add more items. M

  3. Good morning everyone! Me the guy who cries at every economic change is back at it.

First off, as a preface I want to say that my rent only went up by 200$ which is not drastic and won't impact me at all, as I live in Mirror Park not vinewood and I try to keep it realistic for my character.

    Rent increase

Alright, so today the economy team decided to up the rent of some properties, mainly the ones in Vinewood Hills and those expansive mansions, and drastically increase the cost.
We're talking about some rent going up two or even five fold, which is to me very odd. I know it doesn't make sense for someone managing a bar to live in a mansion but after all we're just playing a game and if they want to have poor portrayal that is up to them. The main issue to me is not the actual cost increase for the rent but how it was suddenly done, without prior warnings or asking for feedback from the playerbase. The issue with raising some of these more fancy and expansive mansions and hill houses is the fact that some players role-play alt that would realistically own one of these. For example if you're a DA or a director in the city of Los Santos you're not poor, and have a salary that matches the house you would live in. And once again this drastic decision impacts players abilities to role play what they want. Don't forget we have a life outside LS-RP and don't have hours on end to play this game. I'll give you another example of a deputy that lived in Mirror park and his rent went up about 300 a week in increase. He only plays a few hours a week and now can no longer afford his rent and car payment together as he plays around 5 hours a week.

My issue is that no one really complained about rent before and it was a non-issue and now we are once again pushing the playerbase towards limiting roleplay and making it harder on everyone with limited time to play. FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, STOP DOING CHANGES WITHOUT ASKING US!  The rent price was fine and most of those mansions weren't even used or rented anyways, people still preferring to apparently have a realistic portrayal.

With renting the problem is my friend Harry's house went from 1,000 a week to 2700 for a house in Vinewood Hills. Don't forget you don't OWN the property, simply renting it. Paying 140,000 a year for a rented property that you don't own is stupid, especially as it's just renting! So, please revert these changes, they don't benefit the server and in any ways. High renting prices are just going to cause people not renting as they can't afford it.

Economy team (Or the Art of making arbitrary decisions with no input)

I know we have an economy feedback place where we can post these things but no one reads that forum, so general discussion is a better place to post this! Anyways, I got a bunch of questions for the economy team down there and well, this is constructive criticism

Look the economy team is clearly not playing the game and is obsessed about inflation, I came to the conclusion over the past few weeks as I never seen Roze playing in game, or on the forums. And then he pops up randomly and messes with the rent price with no reason, or reasoning behind it. FUN> REALISM when are you guys going to understand that it's a GAME and not IRL. I don't care if you call yourself the master of Nasdaq but economists are boring people that don't understand fun. And not only that but you make up random prices for rent too. I just went in mirror park, a massive two story house is 1,000 and a simple house with a garage (Mine) 900? What's the logic, then further up the street a house looking exactly like another is 300$ and the other 600? Do you just press random numbers or do you have some sort of illogical logic? No this isn't a flaming post but I'm losing brain cells trying to figure out your goal. From my perspective, you don't play the game, you don't care about the players (As you never collect feedback) and just do what you want, without asking us the 70 players that play. And maybe one less if things don't change.

I didn't see a SINGLE person complain about rent prices prior to today, now people with alts are un-renting as they can't afford it. Some LEOs that play a few hours a week can no longer afford their places.

Please, if you don't play the game, let someone else in charge of the economy that will actually play the game and make it better based on what we WANT.

  4. You're spitting out straight facts. What am I missing? I don't even know anymore, I create role-play and purposely losing just to give things for others to do. Yet all I see is a bunch of people complaining or trolling  in LS-RP's main discord instead of playing the game (Including staff) Yes the script is not like comparable to the other server but who cares? Right now the script is fine to create dope ass rp if you put your mind to it. Also I barely some of the staff members playing, which is odd to me, like why aren't y'all playing?

Personally I'm gonna stick it on ls-rp until it dies, but players needs to log back in....

Which brings me to the main problem of ls-rp right now. Connectivity issues is a plague and needs to be a priority. Honestly I've had a lot of fun on this server even when it's down to 35 players peak on a Tuesday night.

But yeah the solution is in y'alls hands right now, I'm doing my part, are you?

  5.

I expect flame for this very important first thing that needs fixed.

Why do we have PD and SD when there's no room for both, and only PD should exist until we reach higher player peaks, and this isn't about who's better or who role-plays better but right now there's more sheriff than PD and it doesn't feel right at all as LSPD should be the bigger faction, not sheriff. THIS NEEDS FIXED!!!!!!

Things that needs prio imo to save ls-rp

    -Add the sale of properties

-Add literally every vehicles that makes sense to be added in the game, it's currently hella limited in the choices of vehicles, including boats (and planes). I want a boat but they're worth like 800,000$

-Keep businesses and company both passive and active opened at all time, this is very important

-Add the ability to work at 24/7's and other small server owned small businesses (this creates role-play and something for newbies to do without going into the boring rp-less script jobs)

-Add more illegals schemes (Illegal alcohol production, illegal cigarettes, illegal doctor selling prescription drugs.)

-Add more ways for police and sheriff to investigate, with wire-taps, trackers and so on.

-Make melee weapons, such as knives as they are in real life and knife robberies are the best type of robberies instead of the point gun "/me runs your pockets"

-Make /arson or /fire a thing (with admin perms), to allow you to create small fires or arson to give more role-play to FD instead of just gun shot wounds.

-Figure out a way to avoid players suiciding to cops but to make it fair for both parties and enjoyable.

-Free furniture system for businesses/houses/rental properties (Yes when you buy a house IRL it comes with walls and floors...)

-Get rid of the damn rental cars/make a rule to avoid rentals to be used after level 3 or make a rule to prohibit crimes while using rentals.

-A way to remove license plates from vehicle.

    Less important things

    -/Createscene

-External way to spawn furniture outside (Maybe premium perk, or a purchasable way with points)

    -Vehicle customization

-Junkyard for beater cars that will break down most of the time.

-Way to steal fuel from vehicles (Illegal role-play)

-Way to manufacture illegal or legal alcohol/grow tobacco for cigarettes/cigars

-More transparency when it comes to why a faction gets official/access to weapons/drugs.

-More polls about the server's future.

    -More community meetings

-Ads should be able to be sent from anywhere, the ad centre feels like a remnant from samp and it has no purpose as it doesn't make sense.

Look if we make these things all available quickly, this is going to dramatically increase role-play and player count.  Right now there's a lack of script and it hurts the server because of it. I understand devs are working for free, but the competition is so strong script wise that we need to get some unique and different scripts ASAP. Marketing won't really work until we fix the core issues of LS-RP.

  6. Well I bought premium once for the early release and honestly I didn't really use any of the perks that came with it.

And I feel like we need more perks to entice people to purchase premium once in a while without making it unfair to others.

So if anyone has some ideas for extra premium perks do comment below.

Personally the first thing I would add is the addition of having an xmr radio slot. Where you can have your own radio (You'll have to host it yourself). This wouldn't be unfair and seems like something good.

As for my second idea. Maybe once the temporary external furniture feature get released you have access to it for free.

The third one would be as long as you have premium you could have a website on the IG phone.

Anything else you guys feel should be added to premium to help sell more of it to support the server?

Guns should never reflect the real life counterpart prices in real life, until we start having cars that cost $2000 and $3000's out the door through used car lots.

This proves my point, if a car is 29,000$ in game, a gun cannot be 7000$, thanks

    36 minutes ago, Wesson said:

I live in California, you can buy a used car here for $4000, you can't do the same thing in game, everything is at a markup, because you earn $500 for driving a truck a couple of miles, in real life, $500 is some people's weekly paycheck.

What is this 2015? Buddy it's 2023, you won't walk out of a used car lot with a 4,000$ car unless it's a 1998 camry. But this isn't 1:1 real life, we can't pay people 29$ an hour to drive a truck in game, they would need to literally be on 40 hours a week to afford a car payment lmfao. So of course you need to earn more per hour, this is a GAME. Also you cannot live in California with 500$ a week, unless you live in a van or something.

    36 minutes ago, Wesson said:

Pistols shouldn't be cheap, neither should the rifles or the shotgun. The average person cannot afford to splurge on a shotgun or a fancy rifle just because they want to go hunting, you are roleplay an average person when you're playing on the server, unless otherwise shown.

I only agreed to make pistols somewhat more expansive, as they are used for crimes and can be easily concealed.  Lmfao what drugs are you smoking? If you can't afford 400$ for a 12 gauge mossberg 500 right now, then you are below the poverty line sorry to be blunt. The average person in california can go to a bass pro shop, and walk out with a 12 gauge pump shotgun for 400$, and you can walk out with a decent hunting rifle with a decent optic for 600-700$.

    36 minutes ago, Wesson said:

Hunting is a privilege the same way, having and being able to afford to drive a car is a privilege. Having the gas in your car to be able to drive your car is a privilege, our ancestors hunting frequently in the past is absolutely incomparable and nonsensical when you're talking about buying weapon that cost several hundreds to a thousand dollars, not including the ammunition, permits, et cetera. Hunting is absolutely a privilege.

Let me try to follow your logic.... *Thinks* Ah, I see, you never held a firearm in real life and clearly never went hunting. Ironically, except for sport hunters (Which I despise) hunting is a very cheap hobby. Let me even prove it to you. In California to hunt, you need a license which is about 60$, alright. Then you need a firearm let's say you want to go deer hunting. You'll need camo clothes, add 150$. Then you need a rifle with a scope, let's say 300$ for a vortex 3-9 scope, and add a decent rifle like a Ruger American 308 for like 450$. Which totals about 900$ and you're set to go hunting, for multiple years with this gear. So yeah 900$ for a complete decent hobby isn't exactly a lot of money.

So, now that we proved that hunting is clearly not a very expansive hobby and that someone with a regular wage can go hunting, it debunks that it's a privilege.

Stop tossing around the word privilege without actually knowing what it means...

Here's so stats for you since you compared Los Santos to LA. Do you know that only less than 10% of americans do not have a vehicle.... So you're telling me that 90% of the us citizens are privileged????

TLDR, yes if you make 500$ a week as a paycheck, you are classified as poor and yes then all of the above would be a privilege but heck a garbage collector in LA makes around 50000$ a year.

Here's the definition of privileged according to the Cambridge dictionary as you don't understand what a privilege is.

an advantage that only one person or group of people has, usually because of their position or because they are rich:

Here's to prove that owning a car isn't a privilege.

Hunting is a privilege, owning a gun is a privilege, owning a long rifle is a privilege.

Hunting is not an affordable activity for the average person, either. It requires a rifle, ammunition, means of transportation and not to mention a Hunting Permit which will soon be required for hunting activities.

A rifle should cost somewhere between two or three thousand dollars, but if you can dish out $3000 for a rifle which you intent to just use for fun, I don't seem to get why you can't dish out $2000 dollars more for the same thing, sure $7000 is a wild price for a shotgun, but with the price comes the incentive that you need to take care of your property and its YOUR responsibility if your property gets stolen and nobody else's fault.

If you're constantly being robbed, then I don't know what to tell you, you need to worry more about other people not knowing where you live so you can safeguard your possessions.

    I'll resume your whole arguments.

"Hunting is a privilege, owning a gun is a privilege, owning a long rifle is a privilege"
No it was never a privilege ever, hunting and owning guns is a very common if we compare it with real life, as I said you clearly
don't know anything about those. They shouldn't be a privilege, and yes we compare things to real life.....

"You need to take care of your rifle and not get it stolen."
I'm tired of you saying the same thing over and over. You DO NOT GET THE POINT. Yes players aren't trying to actively
get robbed. But robberies are so common that it's like a hobby for some. "Take care of your rifle, it's your responsibility, blah blah blah" Okay,
cool I get it, but if I get it stolen I shouldn't have to grind 20+ hours to go back to doing passive role-play that brings something else
    than freaking crimes and shootouts.

Keep gate-keeping role-play behind massive grind walls and see what happens to the playerbase of the server, the decision to increase gun prices to the point of a gun being worth as much a car is an absolute joke when we're supposed to have a realistic economy and prices. And yes a beer is 25$ but even in a world where a drink is 25$ a gun would be worth at most 1500$. But alright let's do it your way and limit role-play and drop player count like fly. People like you are a nuisance to the server clearly. You are trying to fix a problem with radical decisions that aren't thought through.

I'm done replying with you, you are not getting the bigger picture that decisions like increasing the price ten fold is a bad idea, and the solution is not to increase price. People afk grind, get a gun and go back to their daily "deathmatching". No one wants to dish out a 1-2 months income for a rifle.....

It's not an issue of being high and mighty, but preventing easy and cheap access to high powered guns.

You want a high powered gun with a scope so you can shoot down deer in the wilderness? Be my guest, but if you think it shouldn't cost you a pretty penny, then I completely disagree.

You are wanting high quality privileged activities such as hunting, even in real life the average person cannot go hunting because of its cost.

If you want a shotgun for self defense, work and get that money, buy it and store it in a safe and take care of it, so you don't have to buy another one next week, this also applies in real life, something you keep mentioning in real life.

Sure, maybe the rifle shouldn't cost $7000 dollars and the shotgun shouldn't cost $5000, but a rifle costing $3000 is extremely reasonable, if you don't have the $3000 for a rifle and there's no argument about it, sure, you could have shotguns be $2000-$2500 which would make sense, but to sit here and claim that rifles should cost $1000 is outrageous.

Well, brace yourselves, folks, because the "smoke and mirrors" expert has chimed in. Optics, attachments, self-defense, hunting – congrats, you've managed to throw virtual grenades of irrelevance left and right. But hold up, here's a reality check: while you're getting lost in your argument maze, the rest of us are pointing out the utter ridiculousness of base rifle and shotgun prices. And just when I thought the hunting spiel was done, here comes another round /facepalm. I don't know where you live, but hunting is far from being a privilege, it's a really affordable hobby and not hard to get into, at all. And here's a thought, if we're constantly being robbed on this server, why should we be grinding away like mindless idiots for hours to get access back to a rifle that isn't going to be used in a crime? The amount of crimes on the server makes it IMPOSSIBLE to keep that firearm safely easily, yeah I think 1000-2000$ for a base rifle is fine, just make attachments super expansive then, I don't care if my rifle has only 5 rounds in it, my goal isn't to go at war against Talibans but to enjoy firearm related roleplay that isn't a crime without having to worry of losing  a month's income if I get it stolen.

If you want a gun for outdoor activities, which is a privilege, then you should earn that money to buy the rifle.

Having guns is not a right, it's a privilege to those who can afford it, in and out of the game.

Being a cop in the game has nothing to do with my viewpoint, it's a shared ideology that rifles should not be as cheap as $1000.

We have proper PF license regulations and everything you've proposed is already a rule, I recommend reading the PF rules section so you can familiarize yourself with the rules that are already imposed.

Requiring someone to be lvl 10 to apply for PF is an extreme approach. I've been playing since release and I'm only level 8.

The fact is that guns should not be easily accessible or cheap in any regard, if you want the privilege of going hunting, then you should earn that money to be able to buy a rifle, which would also be a one time purchase since guns last forever and don't have durability, now if you keep losing your guns for whatever reason, that is on you.

Oh, I see, so according to you, we're supposed to guard our virtual rifles like they're rare artifacts in a museum? Newsflash: this is a game, not a reality show about rifle conservation. And let's not pretend that rampant robberies aren't a thing here – it's practically a sport. So sure, let's "take care" of our rifles in this wild west of pixelated chaos. But let's also remember that the real issue isn't just about "losing" guns; it's about creating an enjoyable experience where everyone can partake without having to count bullets like they're made of gold.

  11. 5 minutes ago, Wesson said:

You seem to have high standards in character, if you want to be able to enjoy the privileged opportunities to go and hunt or do something else, then you need to earn the money for it and be able to buy a decent rifle for the job. Hunting is a privilege and so is literally any other activity surrounding firearms. Food items costing $50 means that everything is marked up by a 3-4x multiplier and so are guns.

A single piece of gauze costing $34 dollars is a prime example of this to match the economy of a video game. In real life a piece of gauze costs a few cents .

Look, I get where you're coming from with this whole "earning privileges" angle, but let's be real here. We're playing a game to have fun, not simulate an ultra-realistic economy. Slapping exorbitant prices on guns might sound all high and mighty, but it's a one-way ticket to pushing away newbies and casual players who just want to enjoy themselves. Comparing game prices to real-world costs like gauze is a stretch – we're talking about a fictional world with its own rules. We're here to have a good time, and if you're dead set on creating a virtual gated community, fine, but don't be surprised when the player base dwindles because of it. Let's find a middle ground that makes the game enjoyable for everyone,

  12. 1 minute ago, Wesson said:

Because if you care about your money, you should also care about where it goes. If you're buying an expensive rifle, I expect you to take care of it and at least not use it loosely in a crime that will get you to lose the weapon.

$3000-$4000 for a bare bones rifle makes sense, maybe not $7000, but these prices are not that steep and if you want to use them for tame roleplay such as hunting, then all you gotta do is buy it once and make sure you don't lose it, which applies to virtually every possession. If you want to be able to buy rifles for cheap so you can just use them in every gang shooting, lose it, then be able to buy a new one, then I don't agree with you at all.

Let's not start comparing real life to the server please, single food items cost $50 because you can 2-3$k in a matter of few hours. If you are not willing to work for your nice, tricked out ammo, its attachments and a lot of ammo -- then you shouldn't be able to buy it, at all.

I'm not even talking about crimes, my whole point is trying to make these affordable to people using rifles and firearms in something else than the typical low quality street gang cop and robber player.  And yes, the economic impact of firearms does apply to the server economy, and I don't want a "tricked" out rifle lmao. No one cares about those attachments anyways. And 1000$ for a rifle makes sense if we had proper PF licenses rules and regulations that would restrict the use of firearms in crimes on the daily basis. Criminals shouldn't even have access to these guns in the first place. And I don't know what world you live in where you can make 3000$ in a few hours. At most I can make is maybe 1500$ in 4 hours right now being a legal character. The only reasons firearm prices went up is due to the street gang deathmatchers.  So now, I'm proposing to lower the prices of these since they're not in the reach of legal non criminal characters. I understand you are a cop and you get shot at everyday, but with proper PF licenses regulations we wouldn't have this issue at all and the prices needs to be lowered back to where they were and stricter OOC and IC rules needs to be applied to PF licenses. Such a requiring to be level 10 to apply for a PF license (This would eliminate most of the issues we have). And if you get caught selling firearms IC  you lose your license and are banned oocly for a few months to re-apply for said license. Your point of view of a police officer is flawed and biased. You clearly do not see the other side.

It's not about what's realistic, but what makes sense for the economy and the playerbase. If you want a cool tricked out reliable rifle, I want you to dish out a lot of money for it and I expect you to harbor it and take great care of it.

You shouldn't be able to just buy a snazzy rifle or a shotgun every two days because you lost one the day before, you are supposed to invest in a good reliable gun, ammo, attachments and take care of it.

Who cares about taking care of a rifle, you shouldn't have to always be stressed out because you left a rifle in your house and said house gets robbed because you forgot one time to lock or something. Same applies to vehicles, these prices WILL go down, as of right now they were only implemented because of the amount of shootouts with pistols out in the streets. A rifle should be 1000$ max with the current economy, rifles aren't used for many crimes right now as you cannot walk around with them, same for shotguns.

What's wrong with playing as a cop?

It's not about what's realistic, if we start the discussion of what's realistic or not, that's a whole different topic and conversation.

You can make that much money and for a reliable shotgun, it's not a bad investment.

A shotgun costing that much makes sense, you shouldn't be able to buy a shotgun every time you need to kill somebody or use it in a faction war.

Shotguns nor rifles should be easily accessible and cheap. They are investments that last you for years, if you want to start comparing real life.

Why in the world do you keep bringing the word "Investment".  We're currently in a server with realistic economy model, and these prices do not follow the whole point of having a realistic economy. Roze said he wanted a hard core type of money vs income. The average salary for most jobs is roughly 450$-500$ an hour, a shotgun or a rifle ISN'T an investment. 7000$ for a shotgun means you'll have to spend 15-20 hours to just afford a  shotgun/rifle. This firearm things just ruins the economic model that was proposed and is currently used. With these being the price of legal firearms it means that the black market ones will also increase to amounts that don't make sense. I really do not understand your logic on investing in a a firearm? As only rare editions or antiques are an investment. The firearms in my safe right now won't be worth much in 20 years except for my ww2 era rifles.
