Small RP. Random Mexican gardner, maids, typical valley blonde bimbo, annoying boomers, health conscious freaks.
Â
Oh and don't forget the homeless people.

Sure, it would be more immersive to see the item you're roleplaying holding, but probably would be difficult to implement.
Â
Would you have a different bottle for each type of booze (vodka, tequila, etc) ? What about items that aren't already objects in gta storymode? If we're gonna be able to create items via a /createitem script the possibilities are endless and then you can't have visible items for each random creation.
Â
This WOULD be cool theoretically but I think it would bring more trouble than it's worth.

I'd love for dogs to be added. Any pets in general make for fun rp. Hope they won't get locked behind a paywall. Defeats the whole purpose. Realistically, most people have a pet, so I don't get why everyone is complaining. No, you shouldn't be able to fight with it, make it attack someone etc. That would just open up a whole can of worms and I'd see it all unfold on the reports page. Â

Fluffy pet=good

I would love to see people who is able to actually roleplay an animal, Like ..Â
You'd have to apply for being someones pet, or someones K9 .. That would be cool!lol would be fun tbh.

maybe more IT jobs? the mdc looks real in depth im pretty sure there's also working computers so it would make sense to have tech for it.
The last thing I want to do is roleplay being on a computer when I'm playing on one. I'd much rather rp jobs that I'm not likely to do IRL or physical jobs out in the field.Â

What are some stories of characters you've ran into that made you feel you were roleplaying with NPCs? What exactly made them feel bland?Â

I have a HP Pavilion Power 15, hooked up to a keyboard/monitor/mouse/etc. I've done quite a lot to optimize my game as when I first installed GTA V, it was literally unplayable (~10-15 FPS, heavy stuttering on top of the lag, missing textures, slow chat etc). Now I can play normally with quite a few mods. Just basic optimization stuff. The laptop isn't great either, I've had it for almost 4 years now. What I did (and helped tremendously) though was getting an SSD.
Thanks! I guess I need an SSD

Surprised how no one mentioned redux. I've been using it for a while on my not-so-great laptop, barely impacts performance, looks amazing, very vibrant and lively.
What laptop you use? It kind of makes my game a bit laggy.

I'm currently working on adding objects for the furniture system and I'm trying to be as descriptive as I can with the furniture names. Sometimes there's no avoiding "White Chair 3" for the sake of time and lack of other descriptive features but overall the names should be pretty clear as to what the object is going to be. Some of the current categories still need reworked but I think overall you guys will really like what we have.
Â
As for the preview function you mentioned if you check out the furniture system video, that's one of the coolest features about it.

This actually looks amazing!Â

I'm very curious about how the furnishing system will work. Other GTA RP text servers haven't done such a great job and are still holding onto an outdated and hard to manoeuvre system.
Â
I'd personally prefer a drag and drop system, much much easier than using the keyboard to move items, but this isn't as big of a deal breaker as my next point. Currently, on GTA:W there is no way to actually view items before placing them. The furniture naming system is also quite shit, with furniture items having names completely unrelated to what they actually look like and this makes furnishing a COMPLETE NIGHTMARE. A system where you can preview furniture items before placing them would be a life saver for mappers, and I believe this server is very much capable of that as it would be very similar to the clothing system that's already in place.
Â
Another suggestion I'd like to make is having some interiors open to the public 24/7. Places like churches, public libraries, art centers/galleries and museums that would be mapped by the mappers team should always be available to players. Sometimes it gets boring roleplaying at people's homes or having to wait for a business to open, especially with players being in different time zones.
Â
I'd like to hear everyone else's opinions and ideas about the mapping system!

Not a huge fan of scripted jobs. I'm actually curious what about them you enjoy? I mean that in a nice way.Â

General consensus- yes to ped skins! More variety=more realistic characters and RP. Don't see why we wouldn't have 'em.

Newer players like me are just gonna have to deal with and get used to it, seems like the majority are in favor of the underscore.
Â
Anyway, I have updated the OP to include a poll. Please cast your vote there too, just interesting to see what the players of LSRP want. Multiple choice option enabled as well.
Spoke a bit too soon, looks like the majority prefers no underscore. Personally, I prefer no underscore but it wouldn't be a deal breaker. Great question though, I wasn't even aware of this until you brought it up.

Do not coddle or baby illegal roleplayers. That is the best way to ensure a high standard of RP in the illegal scene. I really really have high hopes for this server and I'm looking forward to both legal and illegal roleplay but I'm not going to lie, I am very curious to see how the illegal scene unfolds. I love seeing well roleplayed criminals and gangs that can string along more than two words at a time and actually show some character development instead of just pewpew pointless "gang wars" with no actual strategy behind it. Don't be afraid to clean up the scene when it's actually needed. Illegal roleplaying tends to attract more toxic players than the legal scene. This really gives the community a bad rep. Get rid of the bad apples while you can, before good illegal roleplayers decide to leave themselves.
Â
With that being said, do give the illegal roleplayers the proper guidance and support they need. A good set of admins who have roleplayed as criminals but aren't biased would be a great start.Â
Â
Also, strongly agree with IdleStacks. Make arms supplier role available to people outside of factions as well.
University/College - Is there any future for this kind of RP?

If the server ever even launches, which at this point I'm starting to seriously doubt, yes, this type of RP could be fun. Lots of opportunities for different kinds of University RP. But like I said... Looks like we might be waiting on the forums throwing around ideas for something that's never gonna happen.
