    Community Updates
We'd like to start this month's community announcement with the following message from Mmartin:

    Hey everyone,

I hope you're all doing well so far in the new year. I'd like to address the plans we have coming up for LS-RP in the very near future. The more keen-eyed among you have probably spotted a "February 2026" card at the end of our last LS-RP RAGE Return teaser. I'm happy to say confirm that after months of hard work by our dev team (huge shout-out to danut and n0de101 who led the RAGE development), we're crossing our t's and dotting our i's to be fully ready to re-open. This comes at a convenient time, as as of today we're shutting the SA-MP server down. I'm thrilled by having had the opportunity to relive the days past and taking SA-MP for one more ride. We've developed dozens of new features that we could only dream of back in SA-MP's heyday, and the run SA-MP had was much longer (also more fun, and at times more challenging) than we initially anticipated. So all in all I'm happy to call the re-run a success, and can't wait for you to see what we've been cooking up on the RAGE front. While we have a rough date to open doors (ports?) internally, we still have some last bridges to cross before feeling confident committing to and sharing a concrete date. It's this month however, so expect more information on dates, features and factions very soon.

We'd also like to give a massive shout out to our media team and RAGE Insiders who've made the effort to showcase and highlight some of the server's legal factions in the most recent teaser for RAGE:

    Commerce & Estate Team

In preparation for RAGE, there's been some changes to C&E and how it works/operates. Much of these changes are in the back-end, and not something we necessarily need to bore you with however, by simplifying the structure of the team into two main teams we can streamline the current processes that our team has to go through. Based on recent feedback, all teams including ourselves have agreed to ensure all applications are reviewed within 72 hours to ensure none of our players are waiting on approval for extended periods of time.

Commerce Team: Manages business-related tasks, including leases, company perks (vehicles, mapping), and entrepreneurial applications. Head of Commerce Team — danut, Assistant Head of Commerce Team — Slice Estate Team: Oversees player-owned residential properties, complexes, and market pricing adjustments to match the server economy. Head of Estate Team — Caledonite, Assistant Head of Estate Team — DadoJ
Keep an eye out on the forums in the coming days and weeks for more information on how you can request properties and companies prior to the server's launch. We aim to ensure that everyone's ready to hit the ground running once the server is live.

    Illegal Faction Team

We'd like to start by acknowledging some changes to the team, as we've recently had @Spanion return to the staff team and reclaim his Illegal Faction Council role. Spanion spent a considerable amount of time supporting the Illegal Faction Team & Council around the SAMP launch and has been helping us get the team prepared for the launch of RAGE. @Conor has also been placed into the role of Illegal Faction Council, his experience in illegal street-gang roleplay, and passion for providing players with a positive, immersive experience has been of great help as we work with our development team on new exciting features for RAGE, which you may have seen in our recent promotional material - a project which @Conor has taken on and worked extremely hard on alongside our RAGE Insiders team.

As the launch date for RAGE rapidly approaches, the Illegal Faction Team & Council have been very busy ensuring a smooth transition into the next stage of LS-RP for all existing factions interested in setting up shop on our RAGE server. We've also been preparing a process for returning factions, and factions from outside the community who wish to join us on LS-RP:V. We're excited to announce that we're now ready for faction leaders across the board to apply for Verified in the run up to launch. There are some eligibility criteria that must be met, and not everyone will be granted this upon launch. If you're unsure about the RAGE faction advancement structure, we recommend checking this thread.

If you'd like to apply for Verified status, we ask that you submit the following application to the Illegal Faction Council for review. As the official launch date has not been released or decided, it may take some time for applications to be reviewed and approved. We don't want to get anyone excited prematurely, but by submitting your application early you'll ensure you've reserved your spot as a Verified faction for launch as we won't be giving it to every applicant. Official SAMP factions will also have the opportunity to join RAGE in an Official Faction capacity - there are also some eligibility criteria that must be met, however the Illegal Faction Council will be reaching out to these factions individually.

We've also been receiving a lot of feedback about the Rules of Engagement from both players and staff regarding the length and complexity of the Rules of Engagement. We've spent some time condensing and simplifying the information, and have released a Rules of Engagement (Simplified) thread. There has been a couple of changes to ROE for the RAGE launch, most importantly this is the change to weapon restrictions (one assault rifle instead of two per attack) and the fact that robberies will now be classed as a faction attack and subject to a 6 hour cool-down. This is still a work in progress as we approach relaunch, but we encourage all faction leaders and their members to ensure they've read this thread to be up to date on the ROE for RAGE.

Finally, we're excited to announce the applications for the Illegal Faction Team are now open! If you'd like to provide your input and work as part of a team to support the illegal roleplay community, we recommend submitting an application. And, as always if there's any queries or concerns you'd like to discuss with the Illegal Faction Team/Council, our discord has a ticket bot to allow you to easily communicate your ideas with us - Discord Invite!

    Illegal Faction Team Newsletter
Welcome to the monthly Faction Newsletter. This is your monthly update on the latest developments within the faction scene. This newsletter is designed to provide transparency by sharing high-level insights from internal discussions, spotlighting a featured faction each month, and highlighting any groups reaching candidate or official status.

    Faction of the Month
This month's Faction Spotlight is 59th & Harlow Bloods, a group that has demonstrated outstanding growth, creativity, and consistent impact across the illegal RP scene. From the outset, they’ve showcased a unique, story-driven approach to character development while maintaining strong standards of roleplay quality and OOC professionalism. The Illegal Faction Council would like to highlight Harlow's activity as a whole, they've shown an intense activity as of late and can be found at almost any time populating the streets of Idlewood. As always, we encourage anyone interested in getting involved with 59th & Harlow Bloods to reach out to their faction leader; @Robby-T

The Harlow thread stands out as one of the few that captures both the day-to-day roleplay and a cohesive, evolving storyline. Their ability to balance grounded, passive roleplay with engaging schemes and rackets makes their faction feel more dynamic.

If your faction would like to be considered for the next spotlight, continue pushing your creativity and standing out in meaningful ways. Key areas that can set your faction apart include strong character portrayal, showcasing unique media or roleplay, and maintaining a clean administrative record by following server rules. Keep in mind that receiving a Faction Spotlight also makes your faction eligible for perks and you can speak directly with the IFC to explore how they can support you in continuing your faction’s progression. We look forward to carrying on this tradition and recognizing another deserving faction in the coming month. Every faction has an opportunity to be recognized so keep building, innovating, and contributing to the community.

    Furnishing Competition Award
Last month, we launched a furnishing competition to highlight creativity within the community, and we’re excited to announce the winners:
    🥇 @Edrian
    🥈 @husoparac11
    🥉  @fruit

IFC will be reaching out to each winner regarding their rewards and next steps. The Illegal Faction Team/Council have thoroughly enjoyed watching the progress, and voting for a winner - the unique designs and effort that went into each submission has been remarkable. So much so that in the Illegal Faction Team meeting, it was agreed that each submission will receive 300 credits as a token of appreciation for their participation.

    Internal Updates
We’d also like to congratulate Black Organized Crime for being selected as an official faction candidate. The minute Black Organized Crime opened, we were receiving feedback regarding the quality of screenshots present on their thread. BOC not only show-case a high standard of roleplay, their screenshots are some of the most cinematic so far. We look forward to seeing their continued development and impact on the server. Their consistency, creativity, and strong presence make them a standout group with tremendous potential moving forward.

IFT is currently open for recruitment, and we’re looking for active, dedicated, and experienced members to join the team. It is an ideal time to bring in individuals who want to contribute more to the illegal roleplay scene. As a member of the Illegal Faction Team, you’d be involved in voting on weapon, drug, and solo scheme applications, reviewing turf map submissions, handling faction reports, and providing meaningful feedback on server rules and upcoming development projects aimed at improving illegal roleplay. If you’re interested in helping shape the future of the server.

If you would like more details, you can find additional information Illegal Faction Team - Letter of Interest.

As a reminder, all the schemes are currently open as follows:
    Faction Drug Scheme — OPEN
    Faction Prison Scheme — CLOSED
    Strawmen Scheme — CLOSED
    Solo Scheme
    Drugs — OPEN
Weapons — (Refer to Strawman Scheme)
    Melee — OPEN
    Scenario Scheme — OPEN
    Business Scheme — OPEN
If you would like more details, you can find additional information SA-MP Illegal Available Schemes.

More custom models are being added to the server for community use. Some items are currently delayed due to branded assets requiring adjustment, but we are actively working through these issues. As this progresses, we’ll continue rolling out additional custom mods and models to support a wider variety of roleplay opportunities.

    Changes to Official Faction Perks
Official factions are expected to remain active and serve as leaders in providing roleplay to the community. If a faction is not consistently engaging in meaningful roleplay or contributing to the server’s environment, their official status may be revoked. IFC has begun a focused initiative to review overall faction activity and will issue strikes or take further action where necessary to maintain quality and accountability across the board.

The warehouse supply has been reduced, and factions may have the opportunity to re-up based on community feedback and demonstrated need. Additionally, we’ve implemented a 50% reduction in firearms distributed to official factions. This decision was made for several reasons, most notably the amount of stockpiling occurring across the server including by players not actively roleplaying within factions. A significant portion of guns originating from official warehouses ended up in the hands of individuals using them for the wrong reasons.

    For context:
Before the reduction, up to 2,600 guns per month could enter the economy.
After the cut and warehouse adjustments, that number is now closer to 1,500.

These changes aim to create a healthier, more balanced weapon economy and promote more meaningful, character-driven roleplay around supply, distribution, and conflict. If adjustments are needed over time, we’ll revisit based on faction engagement and feedback.

    Rage Updates
Behind the scenes, there is still extensive development underway for the RAGE Multiplayer relaunch, with both developers and administrators working on backend to ensure a smooth reopening. While concerns around GTA: V continue to surface, we want to reassure everyone that the SA-MP community remains the primary focus of the Illegal Faction Team. Progress on V is ongoing in the background, and as soon as there are meaningful updates, the IFT will be notified. In the coming weeks, we expect to have more information to share and will keep the community updated accordingly.

Ongoing Discussions and Upcoming Focus Areas
We’d like to take a moment to share a brief overview of several internal discussions currently underway within the Illegal Faction Team. These highlights reflect key topics from our recent monthly meetings and areas we’re actively reviewing and improving. If there’s something you’d like to see added to future discussions, please reach out to @Scumpy, who will ensure your suggestions are included if they haven’t already been raised. For those who wish to connect directly with the team, our Illegal Faction Team Discord is open to the community. A ticket system is in place to allow you to reach out with any questions, feedback, or concerns. You can join here.

    Meeting Notes

Recent faction status updates were reviewed, including new candidacy movements and posted threads.
Development and mod-related updates were discussed, including minor delays and ongoing backend work to improve illegal roleplay features.
Adjustments to faction systems such as warehouse supply and activity monitoring were outlined, along with clarifications on platform focus and upcoming initiatives tied to monthly spotlights.

    Faction of the Month
This month's Faction Spotlight is Black Organized Crime, a group we’ve been watching since last month. From the start, they have delivered a distinct and refreshing take on illegal character development while maintaining consistently high standards of roleplay and OOC conduct. As always, we encourage anyone interested in getting involved with Black Organized Crime to reach out to their leadership team: @boris1, @sk8txrfu, @Gnarp, and @Iamkaciii.

Tracing their roots back to 2024, the faction is steeped in rich lore that is a genuine pleasure to explore. Every storyline is crafted with remarkable attention to detail along with long-term development for character portrayals. The Black Organized Crime thread stands out as one of the few that captures both the day-to-day roleplay and a cohesive, evolving storyline. Their ability to balance grounded, passive roleplay with engaging schemes and rackets makes their faction feel more dynamic.

    Faction Mediation Team Introduced
We’re pleased to share that a Faction Mediation Teams have been introduced to support healthy faction relations and oversee war term agreements across the community. The team is composed of experienced faction members who work together to promote fair play, resolve disputes, and maintain a balanced environment during conflicts. This initiative reflects our continued commitment to transparency and collaboration within the illegal roleplay scene.

    Rage Updates
During our recent Illegal Faction Team monthly meeting, we took the opportunity to address the absence of defined procedures and policies in preparation for the upcoming relaunch of the RAGE Multiplayer server. One of the advantages of having such a dedicated and experienced team is the diversity of perspectives we receive from across the community. This feedback continues to guide our approach as we prepare for the future of both platforms. We recognize that discussions around RAGE Multiplayer may not appeal to everyone, and we want to reaffirm that SA-MP will remain the primary focus of the Illegal Faction Team for the foreseeable future. At the same time, we’re ensuring that when the RAGE server is ready, we are fully equipped and organized to support it.

If you’re interested in contributing ideas or joining the conversation about the development of illegal roleplay on either platform, please reach out to the Illegal Faction Council to get involved.

    Internal Updates
We’d like to congratulate the Marat Gusarov Brigade for officially reaching official faction status. Your dedication and creativity have truly stood out within the community.
We’d also like to congratulate the Verona Shoreline Crips  and Warlocks Outlaw Motorcycle Club for being selected as official faction candidates. We look forward to seeing your continued development and impact on the server.

The Illegal Faction Council and Management have launched a new competition to recognize and reward talented interior designers within the community.

We’re excited to offer a closer look moving forward at the inner workings of the team and the ongoing progress of the illegal faction community. Stay tuned each month as we share updates, celebrate community achievements, and spotlight the factions shaping the future of the illegal roleplay scene.

Introduction of Faction of the Month
Through discussions between the Faction Team (FT) and Illegal Faction Councils (IFC), we have decided to introduce a Faction Spotlight on a monthly basis. Each month, IFC and FT members nominate and discuss standout factions during the last week of the month. From these nominations, tallies are gathered, the top four factions are identified, and a final vote determines the selected faction. There's a number of factors considered, not only the quality and appearance of each factions threads but most importantly, their impact and interactions with the community in-game.

Earning the monthly spotlight provides more than recognition because it also comes with tangible benefits. Spotlighted factions may receive approval for larger-scale scenario schemes, gain access to faction complexes and businesses to further roleplay and become eligible to apply for drug schemes or other schemes offered by the Faction Team. This program is designed to reward not only official factions but also highlight the contributions of unofficial factions, who are an essential part of the community. We recognize that unofficial factions have not always received the credit they deserve, and this system is intended to address that gap.

The Faction Spotlight is an opportunity to showcase creativity, collaboration, and community impact, and we encourage all factions to push the quality of their factions to be considered for this spotlight.

    Faction of the Month
We would like to extend our congratulations to Verona Shoreline Crip, the recipient of this month’s Faction Spotlight. This faction's roster is filled with both veteran and newer community members, whose leadership have once again continued to inspire and entertain others with their gritty depiction of street-gang roleplay. The Illegal Faction Team & Council have been thrilled to watch this faction develop since they opened in June of this year and hope to see much more from them in the coming months. We encourage anyone wishing to get involved with Verona Shoreline Crip, to reach out to VSC's leadership:  @Original Cranky., @AP. or @Roderick_Mays

Since they opened their doors in June, Verona Shoreline Crip, has delivered outstanding roleplay and made a consistently positive contribution to the server. Notable highlights from their thread include their in-depth and realistic character development and high quality screenshot cinematics, which truly deserves recognition this month. We intend on rewarding factions monthly through this newsletter, with an incentive of their choosing, Verona Shoreline Crip's leadership will be contacted or can feel free to reach out to the Illegal Faction Council to discuss their chosen in-game incentive.

If your faction would like to be considered for the next spotlight, continue pushing your creativity and standing out in meaningful ways. Key areas that can set your faction apart include strong character portrayal, showcasing unique media or roleplay, and maintaining a clean administrative record by following server rules. We look forward to carrying on this tradition and recognizing another deserving faction in the coming month. Every faction has an opportunity to be recognized so keep building, innovating, and contributing to the community.

    Internal Updates
We would like to welcome the new community members who were recently inducted into the Faction Team. For those inducted, their names are mentioned in the section below. Moving on, we would also like to once again congratulate 59th & Harlow Bloods for reaching official status, which was previously shared in the Community Update Newsletter.

As a reminder, all the schemes are currently open as follows:
    Faction Drug Scheme — OPEN
    Faction Prison Scheme — CLOSED
    Strawmen Scheme — OPEN
    Solo Scheme
    Drugs — OPEN
Weapons — (Refer to Strawman Scheme)
    Melee — OPEN
    Scenario Scheme — OPEN
    Business Scheme — OPEN
If you would like more details, you can find additional information SA-MP Illegal Available Schemes.

There have also been recent updates to the Rules of Engagement (ROE), which you can review [here]. Additionally, the Faction Team will be making some changes to the MyFace rules in the upcoming weeks.

We would also like to give a special shoutout to faction-owned businesses that continue to contribute positively to the community and remain consistently active. This month shoutout goes to Rirakuzeshon, operated by members of The Santa Maria Collective. We believe their efforts in creating an authentic atmosphere are worth recognizing, and we will continue highlighting such businesses moving forward.

Lastly, there are several internal discussions underway that we’d like to share with the community at a high level. These highlights provide a glimpse into the topics covered during our monthly meetings and areas currently being reviewed by the team. If there is something you’d like to see added to future discussions, please reach out to @Scumpy, who will ensure its included if not already raised within our monthly meetings. If you'd like to join our discord, where a ticket system is in place allowing you to directly contact the Illegal Faction Team with questions or concerns, you can join here.

    Chopshop System
There is currently ongoing internal review of the structure and how the current system is set up.
The goal is to prevent abuse and make sure that the new structure covers a better reward structure but also take other things into consideration such as Legal Factions availability.
    Drug Related Updates
There are discussions happening around the drug system and how we can improve it. The goal is to explore more waves of refining how drugs work along with the effect.
The ideas are still on-going, but it is still worth mentioning for the community to get a general idea of things being discussed.
    Other Topics
Review of fraud-related features and proper use of existing features.
Discussions around rules of engagement and defensive roleplay standards.
Evaluation of schemes, including processes and addressing inactive holders.
Drug scheme limits rules changed and adjusted for Drug Scheme holders.

    Hi guys,

We're excited to announce the recent addition of three new official factions to our SA-MP roleplay server! These factions have showcased an outstanding quality of roleplay, dedication, and have been focused on creating dynamic and exciting scenarios in-game. For the last two months, several factions have been part of our Official Faction Candidacy scheme, where the factions in question have been closely monitored and mentored by members of the Illegal Faction Team in order to improve and grow as a faction. Unfortunately, the competition was extremely tough and the Illegal Faction Council had to make some difficult decisions in order to select the few successful candidates out of a group of high quality contenders. In the end, only three out of five were selected to progress to official status!

Congratulations to E/S Mob Piru Gang, The Galleani Crime Family and Blanco—Longoria DTO.

As for upcoming illegal roleplay updates, please keep your eyes peeled as we're hoping to address some issues with the drug circulation in-game. The addition of these three official factions will of course be of help, however with the recent addition of /cutdrug, we are looking to tweak things to meet the server's demands. I'm also very excited for us to release some new mapping additions to the server intended to target illegal roleplay, and provide new and interesting areas for factions to roleplay. Keep an eye around the city for construction work!

As always, if you'd like to have your say on all things illegal roleplay, please reach out to @Kev regarding joining the Illegal Faction Team Public group to take part in suggestions, integral discussions around updates, rule changes and much more!

    General
    Rules of Engagement Update

The Rules of Engagement for Illegal Factions have remained more or less the same throughout the history of LSRP with some tweaks and changes along the way to meet the community's feedback.
We've had extensive discussions within Illegal Faction Team Public and our Illegal Faction Team/Council and as a result, we've updated the rules slightly.

New factions are prohibited from provoking other factions and must be open for a minimum of 1 week before conducting an attack on any faction. (Previously, 2 weeks)
If the newly formed faction is attacked first by an opposing faction, they may actively retaliate against them in a realistic manner that accommodates their faction's current development. It is worth to mention that newer factions shall not attempt to loophole around this clause by performing robberies or brawls with the intention of getting attacked by another faction and entering a faction war. ( To clarify, ALL factions are only being considered as 'opened' on launch date which is 17 May 2024. Meaning to abide by ROE, you should not be attacking until 24 May 2024 )
Only FOUR participants can be involved in any faction attack, this includes allies.
As an attacking faction, you are to choose your weapons realistically based on the severity of the war.(Previously, 6 participants)
These changes have been made, and are active in immediate effect. Any questions can be directed to our Illegal Faction Team, and if you'd like to have your input on illegal roleplay, we encourage anyone interested to send @Kev a PM on the forums expressing interest in joining Faction Team Public where you'll have access to discussions like these.

    Chop Shops & You

The Chop Shop system was first introduced in 2012 and has been around since. At first, it was a part of the thief job however along the way it was amended to revolve around Official Factions.
Since this was implemented, there hasn't exactly been direct guidance of what is expected from official factions who roleplay around the chop-shop in terms of roleplay and behavior, and perhaps some aspects of what is 'acceptable' has been forgotten. We've added the following rules to assist Official Factions in meeting the expectations for roleplay we have for them.

Chain Robberies: It is not acceptable to spend all of your time going from car to car to commit chain robberies all day. You are expected as a representative of an official faction to be an example of proper roleplay to the community as a whole. Chain-robberies will result in admin punishment, and can put your factions Chop-Shop access at risk.
You are expected to roleplay realistic vehicle robberies; doing a single /me and relying on the automated message for hotwiring is not adequate roleplay. Further to this, you're also expected to fully roleplay your actions when taking the vehicle into the chop-shop. Is your character/another faction member a mechanic? Where are the parts going ICly? It takes time to strip a car, and you're expected to roleplay this appropriately.
    Illegal Faction Council

Lastly, I'd like to take a moment to thank @Helius for the massive amount of time and effort he's put in to Illegal Faction Council, helping us to get the Illegal Faction Team on its feet and creating a positive environment for IFC/IFT to ensure illegal roleplayers received the support they needed at launch. As he's now stepped out of the role we've decided to bring on @Spectre and @Kev to join myself and @Spanion on the Illegal Faction Council.

Lastly, it has been brought to our attention that certain factions have been breaching ROE and continue to do so even after the above information was announced on our discord server. While myself, and other members of IFC/IFT understand how frustrating this can be, we need factions to start filing faction reports. It's next to impossible to fully investigate faction reports in-game as there are so many nuances, cooldowns and required evidence to consider before making a decision. By filling a faction report, you're helping us monitor and weed out factions that are not here to roleplay so that we can focus on supporting the ones who have taken the server's SAMP relaunch seriously. You can find the faction report section HERE.
