As someone who followed the development of the original GTA:N by Guadmaz which was being tested alongside FiveRP, option 2 is definately the way to go. FiveRP had a good script and a huge player base potential, and when originally released it had a lot of people playing. However due to bugs in the script (major one being trucking/jobs), and players not being able to have a good experience, it crumbled and eventually shut down.
Don't rush it, Feburary isn't too far away and with Christmas around the corner and seeing family the next 2 months will fly by, and who knows if February isn't an achievable target, put it back. Sure it'll be another let down but better than then release a product which flops and scares everyone away.
