Throw in the towel or change. Those are the only two options. As Michael_Dippolito said, it is not solely up to factions to create and uphold standards. They also have to be enforced2 points

these admins are quick to close a faction more efficiently then to handle a request for a faction to receive some sort of assistance for roleplay. What makes all of you continuing too comment when they don't give a fuck about you, or this game (they as in most, if not all admins/testers on this shit). Then @JesterJrhas to play captain save a hoe cause hes the only admin remotely looking at this shit. You know what will make these useless, redundant admins leave? Close your factions, and stop playing lsrp. Again, they don't care about you or the server. It's evident. 2 out of 6 of the current official factions are active (EHC, 18th and Blanco are excellent factions but I can't imagine them wanting to continue to play when their suggestions and ideas are thrown to the trash, as evident via this 26 pages of unused recommendations). The admins purely don't care. LSRP has dropped it's standards when we started letting these shit factions constantly report, accepted sub-par roleplay and development, and put player count over factions/players ability to produce diverse and nuanced rp, creating more heavy based standards. Now look at the faction thread, I don't need to say anymore. I'm glad I got banned from this server, and I wouldn't be surprised if I got banned again for my comment. Admins despise dissent and disagreement, they sure as fuck despise your recommendations even more and it's obvious.2 points

26 Pages this thread has, that's 26 pages of suggestions, criticism and highlighted problems. What more can the community do to help? There's been so much out cry and yet, there seemingly from the perspective of the players has been zero action, apart from a shrinking development team and a dwindling playerbase. The illegal roleplay scene has none but a handful of players who are motivated to even get in game, the rest have given up hope or turned to deathmatching. The server doesn't even have a roleplay standard anymore, when it was once upon a time the standard. It's become physically impossible for any member of a gang related unit to do anything productive, detectives can't even roleplay, police can only get involved in 2 hour pursuits that eventually end up in deathmatching. What is supposed to be a roleplay server feels more like a deathmatching mess which punishes those who roleplay accordingly instead of rewaring. The whole ecosystem of gameplay has fell apart, and these 26 pages of criticisms and outcries are a result of complete failure to look after the good players of the server.2 points

He didn’t post the comment; he simply reacted to it. There’s a big difference between publicly voicing an opinion and quietly agreeing with someone else’s statement. Removing someone from staff over a reaction, without even issuing a warning, is completely over the top. If management feels the need to police reactions this harshly, it says more about their insecurity than anything else.2 points

The gist of this thread: Players complain about the state of the server and offer suggestions to improve it. Management/staff refuses to listen for months. Once the player count dwindles, staff frantically asks for suggestions. They're told it's too late - not everything can be salvaged, specially not this late - which is met with the standard "don't be negative" response. Meanwhile, some admin(s) who recently reinstated or promoted, will post that everything's fine and try downplaying everything every now and again, so that they can try to score a promotion. It's a tale as old as time. Maybe slap an image of a new map on top of this (which may or may not be the final map btw) and that'll save LSRP.1 point

No worries, it happens. 🤝 At least you can admit your mistakes, which is more than can be said for some. Ah, the classic “look in the mirror” deflection. Instead of addressing legitimate points, you resort to condescension and irrelevant jabs. Nobody’s expecting miracles in five minutes, but it’s not unreasonable to expect accountability and basic fairness from staff. Maybe take your own advice and reflect on how dismissive and unprofessional this kind of response makes you look. It’s no wonder people are frustrated.1 point

This type of mentality is the main bone to pick I've had with the administrative team so far, obviously there's a disconnect between players and admins when the staff refuses to see an issue unless it's given to them on a silver platter. I'm not being offended on behalf of anybody here but speaking from experience, as I've been in countless mishandled situations, it's more beneficial to let it go than go through the bureaucratic hoops of counter-reporting someone or filing an admin report. This I believe is very much the case with other adult players, thus a lot of shit gets lost without resolve; and the negative feelings left sour up people's experience on the server.1 point

While it’s clear that some individuals have invested significant effort into the re-opening, and I can personally attest to the dedication and support provided by a couple of them, there appears to be a larger issue at play. If a ship with ten captains on board still manages to sink, it speaks to deeper systemic problem, primarily the disconnect and poor communication between management and community and the server's direction as a whole, that continue to hinder the server’s progress. The server feels as directionless as ever. The SA-MP reopening seems like a last-ditch effort to revive the community, but the lack of unified focus among the staff remains a challenge. With a substantial portion still focused on GTA 5—a venture that lost momentum years ago and has repeatedly demonstrated its lack of viability resources feel misallocated. We want to focus on SAMP, but also we are entertaining the idea of relaunching the GTA 5 server, sending all the faction leader's a google form about it, while saying SA-MP is our full focus and so on and so forth. Mmartin’s inconsistency has only added to this predicament. Since the SA-MP reopening, critical issues have been raised repeatedly without tangible results. Familiar problems resurface in every discussion, often met with calls for “patience,” but this approach no longer resonates with a player base that has grown weary of delays and half-measures. The cycle of doing too little, too late continues to chip away any confidence left and drive players away. My whole point is, management is obviously not aware of the huge mistakes made in the past as they just keep repeating themselves like a broken record. That's just my two cents. Now when the server is at its lowest point PB wise, now the management makes a true effort in trying to implement the community's wishes and reach out to everybody, but it's too late imo. All of this should have been done months before.1 point

Instead of granting legal factions the power to shut down factions as a whole, I would suggest leaning towards giving life sentences to certain characters involved in the most extreme crimes. Obviously, this would need to be backed with a sufficient amount of evidence, and I would even go as far as allowing an actual court trial to take place. Implementing this gives the opportunity for power shifts and tests the integrity of said faction to roleplay high profile arrests, and also gives them faction leaders a chance at controlling the faction from prison. In the past, giving LEOs the power to shut down factions promoted the toxic trait of shutting down factions just for shits and giggles. The factions that operated behind closed doors were often targetted more than factions that were performing hits in broad daylight and hosting drug and gun deals in public. The case files weren't even concrete enough to allow a faction to be taken down; an example being the D'Aquila Crime Family's profile. 80% of the case file was filled with nothing but surveillance photos of mobsters talking in public and barely any evidence confirming who held what rank other than twisted OOC narratives being intertwined IC. There weren't any wiretaps of anyone confirming who killed who, who ordered the hit on anyone. Not to mention the only substantial amount of evidence that they had was 2 years old and it was a recorded interview of two associates who were quitting the server and as a last "fuck you" to the faction they were in, they turned informant. You also had two cancers of the VICE Detective division; Ben Mason (who arrested someone from D'Aquila for calling him a "cocksucker" IC and charged them with sexual harassment) and Jamie LaVetta (who had a weird OOC obsession with shutting down factions who rarely made noise). There was also a wiretapped conversation between two soldiers who were in the middle of furnishing an interior that was bugged and one of them mentioned something along the lines of guns being bought, but it was obvious they weren't using the /b command to differentiate from the IC speech and yet the FM at the time still granted it as solid evidence of a gun deal, despite the dialogue being all lowercased and clearly just an OOC conversation between one another. There's a whole lot that could go wrong with granting LEOs that sort of power.1 point
