This thread chronicles the character development of Flynn Doherty, and his journal entries since his life began in Los Santos. Flynn Doherty was born on the rugged coast of Ireland, where the sea was both a provider and a taker. His father, a fisherman hardened by the unforgiving waves, was a man of few words but many fists. Flynn learned early on that silence was his shield, and the bruises that speckled his skin were his reminders of the life he was desperate to escape. His father was the kind of man who demanded obedience, not through love, but through fear. The sea was his only true companion, the one place where he could find solace from the anger that consumed him. But the sea, as generous as it could be, was also merciless. One stormy night, when Flynn was just 16, the waves swallowed his father whole, leaving nothing behind but an empty boat and a legacy of pain. With nothing left in Ireland but bitter memories, Flynn made a bold decision. At 17, with a pocketful of dreams and a heart full of hope, he boarded a ship to New York. The city, with its towering buildings and endless possibilities, seemed like the perfect place to start anew. And for a while, it was. Flynn found work, met a woman named Margaret with a smile that could light up the darkest corners of his soul, and soon they were married. Margaret gave Flynn something he had never known: a sense of home. They had two sons, Seamus (After Flynns middle name of his great grandfather) and Aiden, who became the center of Flynn's world. For a time, life was good. The ghost of his father’s anger seemed to fade, replaced by the laughter of his children and the warmth of Margaret’s love. But life has a way of turning dreams into nightmares. Margaret fell ill, and the doctors said it was cancer. The fight was long, draining every ounce of hope from Flynn as he watched the woman he loved wither away. Her death shattered him. The light in his life extinguished, and all he was left with was darkness. Flynn turned to alcohol. seeking refuge in the bottom of a bottle. But the drink only fueled the anger he had tried so hard to bury. He became the man he had feared most—his father. The love and care he once showed his sons turned into harsh words and heavy hands. Seamus and Aiden, too young to understand and too hurt to stay, eventually left him. They walked out the door, leaving Flynn alone with his grief and regret. Years passed, but Flynn remained stuck in the past, haunted by the ghosts of those he had lost and those he had pushed away. The man who once had dreams of a better life now wandered the streets of New York, a shadow of the person he used to be. Flynn, who had escaped the cruelty of the sea and the fists of his father, had become a prisoner of his own making—a man who lost everything he had ever loved, all because he couldn't escape the cycle of pain. One day, Flynn had enough... He decided to most out West to Los Santos to start a new life. Once there, his old friend Felix Reeves gave him a call letting him know he would be back in the city and to speak to a Keith Roux, an old business partner of his. Flynn had met Felix in New York during a gun convention and they've been good friends ever since. Flynns new life began once he was hired as a probationary Agent and personal body guard for the Roux family. Because of Felix's word to get Flynn in with the Roux family, they also trusted him with private investigations for the Roux Capital Group. Flynn had a new purpose and he let work consume him as to escape his bitter past...

Flynn Doherty's Journal Aug 25th 2024 Big day for the UTA. This sponsorship is a big deal for LSCG. Proud to be a part of it. All prep was set-up from my dear friend Felix Reeves. Now it was time to execute... Went off without a hitch. Proud of both Jack and Oscar for their performance today. Well done.

Flynn Doherty's Journal Aug 24th 2024 Started to get our name out there with Reeves today. We ended up running into an old friend Carmine. Love that guy... Turned out he could use our services. Helped him out with our first gig. For a first day gaining a network.. I'd say it was successful. Looking forward to more connections made.

Flynn Doherty's Journal Aug 23rd 2024 Inspection for our business license for ACE was tonight. What a milestone. From a grunt at Roux, to a Supervisor of AIC, to a Director of Security.. Now, now I'm CEO of ACE on paper... This new Los Santos Capital Group venture has opened more doors for me. How the fuck you do it mate... Humble beginnings, to explosive future where limits seem to be none. This big boy just keeps on moving... Ha! Wish I could tell me mom about this... I'm sure she's watching. And dad, I pray in whatever hell you are in you are watching me achieve this and are envious. You never deserved shit and tried to make me feel the same way... Well, look at me now you cunt. THE INSPECTION ENSUES.

Flynn Doherty Journal - July 30th 2024 Ran into Accardo and Oscar at Star Street Casino. Turns out our boy Accardo had quite the day.. Poor bastard. I thought I should help him let off some steam. The guy got his gun licenses quicker than any Agent yet. Guys sharp, he'll be alright. Hoping he can hold onto his gym. I would love to have a spot to keep up with my routine. I trust Accardo. He hasn't shown me why I shouldn't excpet for a few things. I get it though.. He's allowed to have a private life, just starting to get ever more curious /WHAT/ that private life entails. Anyway, I've been thinking of asking him since he's in the business about a possible connect for some juice. I've always been a big guy, but I need to get back on a cycle.. And quick. It's all my body is use to for the past decade. My pumps feel weaker. Can't lose my ever lasting gains eh?

Flynn Doherty Journal - June 6th 2024 Today was the day I had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Ciro Ferrucci, Director of AIC. Stand up guy and I look forward to being under his deligation. Sharp is the word I'd use for him. Katz did some ground work on case 4426. Proud of him. It's nice to have someone on the team we know we can trust to do his dirty work with proffessionalism. After meeting Mr. Ferrucci we headed inside Roux Tower for a debriefing of case 4426. Good to know what direction the case will be going from here...

Flynn Doherty Journal - June 5th 2024 Well, welcome Katz! I was there to meet him last night when he was hired by Felix. Seems like a solid guy. After some paperwork I radio'd in to see if Katz was around to show him the ropes. He was with a friend, Frank. No business could be done as Frank, maybe a prospect for AIC, cannot have anything close to a crumb of intel from inside. We decided to take the night off to unwind. Good chance to feel out Katz and his friend who is interested in a job at AIC. Turned into a great night with some fishing.. I love fishing.. Always turns up some memories though of my shit poor excuse for a father. Love hate I guess I should say my relationship with fishing. Seems the boys had some light shed on them of my past.

Flynn Doherty Journal - June 4th 2024 Jack is such a great guy.. Really knows what he's talking about. I respect that. Today Felix and I had a ton of interviews to get through.. Wouldn't ya know it? Just ONE made sense to hire.. Tough finding suitable candidates in this city. After a long night of interviews, Felix and I hit the pavement to develop more on case 4426. We're so close I can smell the bastard..

Flynn Doherty Journal The investigation unfolds. More and more pieces being put together. Isaac and I have really drummed up a solid lead.. Blueberry. Look to be where we got to go next. Now that Felix is back in town, I'll have to let him know where we're at. But first, time to take a little trip...

Flynn Doherty Journal - July 25th 2024 There has been so much movement lately. It's stirring things up at Roux again big time, in a good way. Always for the better, always moving forward. Oscar Richter is what we needed to get over our hump. Because things are falling into place, it's making me get that itch again for some field work. After the last couple weeks with all the background business whispers and changes, it's been tough for me to slow down and take my eyes off the bureaucratic shit, and get back to what I love.

Flynn Doherty Journal - July 12th 2024 Mr. Oscar Richter. Glad we could meet the man. Scouted out some spots for a possible OID headquarters with him, we got into some good chats. Eventually he showed us his old "Bat Cave" as he called it.. Pretty amazing garage. Seems we may have some further plans for Roux and AIC after speaking to him.

Flynn Doherty Journal - July 6th 2024 Jack Santavicca. Haven't had the chance to sit down with him yet since getting the official title of head of security. First impressions of him I got a few weeks back at the Avalon when he was speaking to Mr. Keith Roux. Guys a character that's for sure. Seems to be a solid fit for managment at Avalon. He's definitley got some ideas to bring to the table to help us with security. Happy we could have a quick chat. Seems there are layers to this guy I want to continue to uncover...

Flynn Doherty Journal - July 5th 2024 Done deal. Jack got us our first helicopter in our fleet today! Reeves is jumping for joy I'm sure. We can finally use this for recon and to help with keeping eyes on our interested parties. Construction is almost done on the headquarters as well. Our feet just keep moving forward..

Flynn Doherty Journal - June 30th 2024 This fucking kid is going to be the death of me. Almost forgot he mentioned this when I asked him to come clean with everything last night. This has got to be it.. Right? I want to help him get out of his past.. I said I would, told him I'd help him. I didn't want him to go backwards with his money. I know he was doing what he had to before spending his money on something so stupid. So I paid him back, and then some, but this is starting to put ME in jeopardy. I trust him this is it.. His last tie to his old life. I expect this kid to bust his ass and continue to prove to me what I see in him. Onward and upward. I swear I'll break his neck myself if I catch wind of anything else. He could do great things, or drag me down with him. He owes me after this. Owes me big time.

Flynn Doherty Journal - June 28th 2024 Tyrell Briggs. When he came into the office at Avalon for his oriantation, I intstantly felt a connection to this kid. I saw someone that was keen, motivated, ready to dig his heels into this. Our youngest recruit. Impressionable minds are easily molded and you can teach them from an early age how to conduct themselves. How to be the best they can be. I was excited for that. He reminded me of my oldest, Seamus. Kid told me he lives in Idlewood. I could cry for the fucker being in such a brutal space. I can only imagine the shit he has already seen, and I feel it's my responsibility to drag him out of the gutter. I told him that he needs to choose a path if he is joining us. A path of honesty and definitley not one where he lives two seperate lives. He needs to leave the streets behind him. Turns out, it won't be as easy for him to turn that leaf as I thought...

Flynn Doherty Journal - June 27th 2024 Met #$&% at the opening of Avalon. Nephew to one of the VIPs on the Avalon opening. Jack and Keith wanted me to let these guys in free of charge, big deal I'm sure. This guy is HUGE! Love to see it.. Haven't seen many big guys like me around. We got chatting, and he sent me a link to some body enhancement drugs. Been a long time since I've done a cycle.. In this profession, why not get me that extra boost? Guy pulled through..

Flynn Doherty Journal - June 20th 2024 I.. I can't believe it.. This has gone TOO deep. Wrapping my head around this is a tough one for me. All I can think about is next steps, this way, or do it that way.. I don't fucking know. It's almost too much. Jennings needs to keep his head straight. I need to do the same, we /ALL/ do. It's time to buckle up and make some moves, because this, this is a turning point for everyone involved. All of OID needs in on this. We need to make our moves to protect what's ours. A fucking rat always finds their way to the cheese... It's just a matter of setting up the trap.

Flynn Doherty Journal - June 19th 2024 Another long night out and about. Opening of Avalon is coming soon and the weeks been a good one so far leading up to it. Isaac and I had some fun at the Filth. Guy always seems to make me open up. I do miss my sons.. Hope the'ye ok. Maybe one call to that bitch I use to call a mother-in-law WOULD help. We'll have to see.

Flynn Doherty Journal - June 18th 2024 What a BAT SHIT dream I had.. Aliens? A fucking Sphynx? I don't know what to make of this all.. It feels so.. Real? I'm not mentioning shit to Felix or Matt.. They'll probably tell me to lay off the food before bed.

Flynn Doherty Journal - June 15th 2024 Jennings at it again.. He keeps surprising me.. We went by his local hang out to chat. Maybe not the best place to bring this up, but as I understand, the guy needed to feel comfortable. I can respect that. He is also showing interest in O.I.D. I look forward to getting him out there under Reeves and I's wing. See if he can really dig deep to learn off us and sharpen his game. Besides all that, a very concerning conversation came about. I don't know what the fuck to think of it yet. This has opened a pandoras box...

Flynn Doherty Journal - June 13th 2024 Caught up with Yuri randomly at a Coffee shop out looking for some sketchy character outside the Avalon. Looking forward to Yuri and I's next chat. The guy at Avalon thought he was slick but it was obvious he was there to do something against Roux.. We'll catch up to him later. While out in Blueberry grabbing some booze we ran into our aquaintences we've seen at the Burning Skull... The Bastards. Seem to be good guys. Eliminating a possibility, they also helped us narrow down our search on our mystery man..

Flynn Doherty Journal - June 11th 2024 Today was a special one.. One I've been waiting for. Reeves, wouldn't you know it, he was promoted to head OID! So damn proud of him. I've been working my ass off myself and hoped for recognition soon. Not only was it Reeves day, but mine too! Ciro gave me a big nod to my work so far at AIC. Meant the world to me. Since Reeves was given the position to head the Intelligence team, I am honored to say he asked me to be his number one... I can't fucking believe it. Just a few years back I was at my worst... Now here I am, at my FUCKING BEST! I won't take this role lightly. It's full steam ahead. I can't wait to tell the other boys. I know their time is coming too...

Flynn Doherty Journal - June 8th 2024 Today is the day. Big meeting for AIC. I can only hope Mr. Ciro Ferrucci has nothing but big plans for us. I'm sure he does.. Word of new divisions within AIC are being whispered and I can only expect that to be true. Looking forward to having the boys who can make it at my side as Mr. Ferrucci gives us the low-down. It's such an honour to be a part of such an opportunity. I can't thank my old friend Felix enough for the referral to Mr. Keith Roux. This means everything to me. I will continue to fully commit to my position and prove my worth to this elite group. Still haven't "waken up" from this dream. I hope I never have to...

Flynn Doherty Journal - June 7th 2024 Had Yuri come in today. Hadn't seen him since securing the perimeter at Jerry's place. Guys good.. He's got connections through this city that already are proving to be more than useful. Case 4426 is ongoing. Myself, Reeves, Vaughn and Whetstone continued to do some ground work, gathering intel. Yuri went off to take care of what he could on his end.
