Jack Marrese is not your typical wise-guy. Despite his ever-present criminal inclinations, Marrese has a college education and spends a significant portion of his time on his legitimate businesses. His ties to organized crime originate with the Genovese Crime Family in New York. Richard Marrese or Uncle Ricky to Jack Marrese, sent Jack to Los Santos after he received his button. Richard felt that Jack's star was rising all-to-quickly, despite sponsoring him. Their shared disdain for eachother goes back to a criminal enterprise that Jack was embroiled in with crypto-currency mining and ransoming, of which Jack's compensation for his work was left unfulfilled. Richard wishing to avoid bloodshed and further animosity put in a favor to Jonathan Accardo, an old friend and reputed mob figure in Los Santos. The rest is history...
