assetto corsa is pretty good, modding scene is insanely good

I haven't gotten into modding yet. Got all the DLC's on steam on a sale and been running the Nurenberg only. Do you have any cool mods to recommend? I like city driving stuff etc.

I don't really know what do you mean with city driving stuff, but there is Shutoko Revival Project that is a giant freeroam map where you can drive with the traffic on a famous Japanese highway with JDM (and more) cars. example here. Problem with these servers is that they are CPU demanding. You can check more maps here

For modding I advise you to install content manager which is an alternative launcher for assetto corsa. Original launcher (that you launch through steam) is ass, the alternative one got a lot of things and makes modding very easy. You can download the LITE version on the above website then pay $1 to unlock the full version, kinda must-have if you want to download mods.
Most mods are downloaded through racedepartment.com and you need to create an account. Click "register" then go ALL DOWN the page, they use a dark pattern to make you pay to create an account but if you go on the bottom of the page you can see "Join with a basic account here" (or just ctrl+f and paste it). Good mods are those you pay anyway, like on https://racesimstudio.com/shop.

if you want some rain: https://www.patreon.com/x4fab/posts

Also if you are looking for a noob-friendly racing league let me know. I've been racing with them for a year or two, no toxic environment, nobody cares if you are toretto or just started, if you spin or not etc. no points or money involved etc. just friends racing saturday. eu and na servers

Simracing (iRacing) is my main hobby. I've been doing it for about 2 years now with league races most nights. Primarily asphalt, split between oval and road depending on the day of the week.

Qualified for a competition in February and spent a weekend in March in Las Vegas, expenses paid for by Pennzoil and Ford.

I'm in a team, but I wouldn't call it super serious. We're relatively small. The competition I qualified for had competitors from 3/4 different teams competing, but it was not a team based event. Everyone was in it for themself, and for the $15,000 reward.

GT4 is fun, I picked up the 718 recently and prefer it a lot more over the perculiar Mclaren and boaty Aston Martin. I much prefer prototypes, with a P5 finish in last years Watkins 6hrs in LMP2 and hopes to make 3 of the 4 timeslots in LMP3, LMP2 and GTP this year. Eagerly awaiting the PS320 and V-Series.R! I do a /lot/ of league racing primarily, and help run a few in a community of 200.

I recommend this webtool if you're into livery making

@CallieKills@CalliexKillssomeone from the pt community sent me this tool as well, but i dont understand how does it work, thank u anyway.
i have never joined an "important" even so far because my iR is pretty low (<1000), planning to take it to 1500 at least in the next season. im not touching iracing now and im trying assetto corsa competizione with the new computer and i gotta say its good. i dont know how "realistic" is it but its good. there is https://lowfuelmotorsport.com that is like competitive matchmaking like iRacing, you need a driver license and there is the safety rating as well but im not sure if i will ever use this service like i use iracing

I tried ACC. The ways the cars move just feels awful imo. Plus I prefer so many other types of car over GT3 so it just doesn't appeal to me really.
