After the fall of the Santa Maria crew led by Uncle Lee, the organization went dormant. However, one of its connected members, Brandon Kaname, refused to stop. Carrying the legacy of Santa Maria, he continued his journey through the underworld, building his small crew into a disciplined and organized crime. Today, the Kaname Crew can be seen reclaiming and revitalizing the streets of Santa Maria in their own unmistakable, violent style.

However, Kaname's Crew, from the later chapters of the SMC, will carry forward the legacy of Santa Maria.
