LOS SANTOS, SAN ANDREAS — Dante Muscato, a reputed mobster linked to an Italian organized crime group, has been sentenced to life in prison following his arrest by the Los Santos Sheriff’s Department Major Crimes Bureau.

Muscato, identified by investigators as an associate of the Bellantonio Crime Family, was charged with terrorism after attempting to assassinate Adam Mora, a high-ranking member of the same mafia organization. Authorities say the attack stemmed from an internal dispute within the Bellantonio family that escalated in late June and early July.

On July 1, Muscato allegedly planted an improvised car bomb beneath Mora’s vehicle while it was parked near Pershing Square Park, directly outside Los Santos City Hall. The device was discovered before detonation, preventing what officials described as a potentially “catastrophic act of violence” in the heart of the city.

The bomb came to light after a detective from the Sheriff’s Department’s Major Crimes Bureau received a 911 call reporting that an explosive had been planted under a black Sentinel parked near Pershing Square. In response, the Los Santos Police Department’s bomb squad was called to the scene, where they successfully carried out a controlled operation to defuse the device and secure the area.

Due to complications with the forensic analysis of the explosive, law enforcement officials were unable to immediately secure a warrant for Muscato’s arrest. The high-risk warrant was formally approved on August 15, and Muscato was ultimately captured on August 21 by the Sheriff’s Department’s Special Enforcement Bureau (SEB) during a coordinated tactical operation.

Sheriff’s Department officials emphasized that the case highlights the increasing intersection between organized crime and terrorism-related tactics.

“This was more than an organized crime feud, it was an act designed to instill fear in the public and destabilize our city”, a spokesperson for the Major Crimes Bureau stated. “Our investigators worked tirelessly to bring Muscato to justice and prevent further bloodshed.”

Adam Mora, the intended target, was unharmed in the incident.

Muscato’s life sentence marks one of the most severe penalties handed down in Los Santos for a crime tied to organized crime violence in recent years.

Officials say the case underscores the Sheriff’s Department’s commitment to disrupting mafia-linked violence and protecting the community from escalating criminal conflicts.
