It’s quite ridiculous really that the exact same problems can repeat themselves 3 or 4 times and send more chunks of players away each time from 2021 to now. I fear that it’s badhbh attempting to formulate a response alongside the rest of management who don’t roleplay. Apart from her they have no idea what actually goes on in-game because they all roleplay robocop LEOs among themselves, so can you blame them for their lack of response here? I would love to see the insights from someone like bobster, node, Celestine, Izumi, dadoJ, etc about the roleplay that actually goes on here. I am not flaming, I mention the names because this is another concern people won’t say on this thread and I want to make it known. Really hoping we get a response soon because there is so much more that needs to be answered for, particularly extreme administrative corruption with a certain faction’s weapon warehouse.

They wanna descript you guys?? You gotta be shitting me 😂 This servers not in the position for that If someone opened Hello Kitty Play Time Cripz they should just hand them a drug and gun store, fuck it. Actually though, serious action needs to be taken to get new players logging in. Standards might have to take a hit, red tape removed, cheap guns and houses for anyone with half a brain.

What's currently happening to the server isn't the first time—this is almost an exact repeat of what led to its closure around 2021. Management made the same mistake back then, shifted their focus on V while letting SAMP sink. It was a good call to bring back SAMP, brought in fresh players, and reminded everyone why this place has lasted so long. But, I thought they gonna bring SAMP for few months and re-launch V ASAP, but it took almost 2 years and yet it's not relaunched despite the promises "SOON™" and ongoing work. Anyone who tried V knows the script itself wasn't the problem, we had all essenstial features to roleplay, but it flopped not because of the script, but because of the complete lack of transparency and the broken communication bridge between management and the players. At the end of the day, it's all about the quality of roleplay, the fun and memories. We all agree that 150 dedicated, high-quality roleplayers with the right staff is way better than a bloated server full of DMers, shitty roleplay. Management's one job right now is figuring out how to make LSRPV stay active with good roleplayers, Whether we like it or not, SAMP has a limited future—no matter how much we try to milk it. We don't have to compete with other servers on scripts. We can stand out with the quality of roleplay and a management team that truly listens to its community. There were so many SAMP servers with "better" scripts and features than LS-RP, but they couldn't reach us because of the incredible quality of roleplay, fun and for its simplicity. Please don't take that away from us. With the right plan we can do that again on V. It's all about the roleplay and fun. I can spend a day doing /me and /do lines without any other feature and yet I'd have spent a memory day with real roleplayers. Community is passionate and they do care, otherwise they wouldn't bother their ass to write thousand words. Leadership it's time to come out with a big announcement and clear the air for everyone.

Been reading this for a while and wanted to finally chime in since others asked. You need to separate facts from assumptions and lies. It is clear as days that the main reason why you are seeing a decline in the community now is from the mistakes that the leadership put forward along with putting people in positions where they shouldn’t have been from the get-go. The decision making around a lot of things started before the first batch of official factions even got announced after the relaunch of SAMP. @Brigone being one of the firsts to vocalize the problems that the server was facing along with calling out bullshit that people were doing from the admin team and leadership perspective. The only reason that didn’t go anywhere was simply because of one reason. One person leaving doesn’t matter to us only because the server is doing totally fine and one leaving isn’t going to cause much of an issue. In other words, the admin team and specifically people in recognizable positions were too comfortable and let the server flow on. The next batch of folks started leaving when you saw that there was no progression in the script itself. The server becomes stall when there’s clearly no progressive updates, a roadmap that is ultimately outdated, along with the attention being at two different places. Why are you building on a foundation that is already in shambles. I have been both in IFT, led an official illegal faction, led a legal faction, and eventually came into the staff team. Simply put, the culture is toxic in those ranks where you’re going to have three groups. The folks that are vocal, quiet, and shit talkers. I am not going to name anyone here nor do I care since I already have stopped playing in this community, but the vocal folks were already zoned out from folks that were in positions, and it was like we were going against a militia of a brick wall. @Kev and @Clack vocalized a lot of these things in the standard meetings we had along with suggestions that never went anywhere. Ultimately, the developer team got shifted like the times and nothing came out of it. All in all, the culture of this community was horrible in the admin ranks itself and the mentality majority held. I will not even get started in the legal side of the house and how people were harbored from punishments along with the recent things @Aloosh called out on the situation of alt accounts. Marketing isn’t going to help this community gain numbers if internally those issues weren’t fixed. And I’m answering that question now as well they’re not going to be fixed only because of people and their egos. When you do call them out for their bullshit then they get censored or messages are removed. It’s the easiest thing they’ve done and will do. The main problem was the staff itself, and the positions folks held. The regaining of numbers is unrealistic when the serious folks themselves stopped playing. It’ll be very hard to bring them back due to them firsthand seeing the drama in the staff side. All in all, the community needs to realize that censorship and poor decision making from many folks is the reason we are here. We warned them about 8 months back that this is what will happen and these kinds of threads are what you will have to deal with if you don’t give transparency, updates, and honesty. They lacked in every area and here we are. I don’t mean to rub or derail this topic in any way, but it was worth putting this out there that these attempts in the backend happened, but these are the consequences of getting brushed off.

Mulled over for a bit and figured I'll leave a short comment to clarify on some things as well as express my personal stance. Whatever I say here is purely my own opinion and does not represent the staff team as a collective. As an admin whose focus is primarily on SAMP, I would like to see a healthy coexistence between both servers once RAGE launches. I hope that with enough effort, we can retain players that also prefer playing SAMP and build a community that is self-sustaining, albeit not as populous as before. The proposed idea of separate staff members for each server sounds promising, and is something I myself have forwarded to internal discussions. As for whether we have enough manpower to actually accomplish that remains to be seen. Reading through the well thought-out comments in this thread has given me hope that it might actually be possible, and everyone's input has been tremendously insightful to me. All I have to say about RAGE is that I hope it has a successful launch and that players who are more into V than SA will give it a chance. I've seen the behind-the-scenes work and there's really a lot to look forward to. It has features that I would give anything to have on SAMP but it's not very likely due to technological constraints and the fact that our codebase is older than some players in here. Still, I'm surprised and appreciative of how many people still would like to keep playing in SAMP, and I wish you guys would stop crashing out because in the event that we start to move forward more proactively and the issues are worked on, we ultimately still need roleplayers. And we can't roleplay if you're all banned lol

I just want to thank everyone who participated in this discussion and providing a lot of constructive criticism. And another thanks to the staff team for allowing this topic to stay up this long, I know it wasn’t easy but this is extremely necessary. Let’s give the staff a chance to respond and see where their heads are at with all of this.

@manslaughter’s got a point. I think a server shutdown as soon as possible is a rather smart move. Why? Well to begin we can really see every staff members individuals role and purpose on the server. Really analyze who serves a purpose here versus who is in fact dead weight. There is way more importance to a temporary server shutdown. It will serve as a reality check for everyone. I’d hope at the very least management can create some honest core messaging to the community. I assume the same community members on this thread will be ready to help in any way possible. Systems are broken, trust is missing and at the core that alone needs to be rebuilt and server shutdown would help everyone focus on that. Perhaps dividing people up to access player loss and ways to fix that, tweaking our UCP sign up system. I feel like we’ve lost our identity as a heavy text based roleplay server and those people can sit down and rework what our server niche may be. Staff chaos is a huge fucking flaw and I don’t need to go into further detail but a restructure so beyond necessary. Finally I think entertaining a marketing team would be huge however that would look and work I think it’s necessary. This “LSRP vision” lacks a mission statement and with management being absolutely mute, I think it’s time to figure it out at some point. What matters? What doesn’t and what arguements are off topic? I got a ton more on my mind but beginning here and seeing how the community can get involved would be huge.

Because there is no community to begin with, half the community couldn't care less about any of this, and the rest are us who actually engage in this, but will not be heard. Truth be told, you guys need to face it, a change won't happen, it did not happen in 2017, it did not happen in 2021, it won't happen now.

Imagine this okay. Lower player base on samp, for me a normal thing(Today more people can afford to play RageMP then 5 years ago and thats a FACT) So, having in mind that samp is actually 21 year old game, and no one actually comes back to play it(Just for nostalgia okay?) Its like comparing Counter Strike 1.6 with CS2, what would you play? OFC! CS2 Because its newer, more optimised and popular game. THE THING THAT BOTHERS ME THEN MOST. is that half of the community thinks "LSRP is dying because of staff" Yeah, partially. Still WE all are player base that make this community alive. We do it for fun, we love to RP and to play this game, it's like a escape from reality for me at least. So yeah, my point is. Put your EGO beside and actually turn on your brains if you really want this to THRIVE and not only SURVIVE. Again, i'm sorry for any inconvenience i said. All the things i said were based on MY opinion and my thinking about all of this. In the end, we are here to have fun and create a good community and environment for EVERYONE. Thanks!

I understand you totally. But you really, really think that tagging mmartin, and other staff members will change the situaiton? Adressing the actual problem is not hard brother. LSRP LACKS IN COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT. WE are all angry because martin and bobster are this and that(Just an example don't take personally). The actual thing that is bad is that 60% of community lacks in actual understanding of the whole concept of a VIDEO GAME. You don't get to do things that are out of rules just because you are angry, dude, go out and take your angry energy elsewhere. (Generally speaking). INSTEAD of trying to blame him or him or her or him. Why don't we as COMMUNITY try to fix the problem. (Still saying, this isn't directed to no one. @manslaughter All of this i'm saying generally and i have no such thing as a little hate directed to you or anyone here. I just want LSRP to be better place for me and everyone else playing, because i want to have FUN and not sense of sadness when i join the server)

My man, this is thread about "HOW WE CAN MAKE LSRP THRIVE AND NOT SURVIVE" not, "LET's EVALUATE ALL STAFF MEMBERS" You gotta understand one thing. People have their lives outside of a fucking games that are like 10-20 years old. I mean i understand you point and everything, I support the so called /revolution/ but its not the way to do it ma brotha. We have to or find a similar point with staff, a compromise. Or at least understand the actual situation rn. It's not about evaluating player base about their history or things they did here on LSRP. It's about bettering the SERVER AS A WHOLE. And not actually lose it again like years ago... Take this as a constructive criticism. I'm not here to insult anyone, I just want to still have fun here because i grew up with this community. Let's ALL of us take our EGOS apart from this discussion and actually try to find a solution to all of this. Thanks and sorry if i said something wrong.

@Mmartin@badhbh@bobster@jack (badhbh and jack responded here already so I'm only addressing the other 2) @Mmartin You need to leave. So consider your input irrelevant and unnecessary. Thank you for all that you did in your tenure but you're useless and dead weight. @bobster Care to chime in? The literal rest of the staff (with a small exception of a few names that I personally know/rp'ed with and are active rn) are useless fat, that should be trimmed down by 75%. This is the last response I'm going to make here, but Kev and a few others really hit this fucked up nail on the head. It's not feasible. There's no action plan. There's no true leadership. The worst part? This staff doesn't give two fucks about you, the average player with some sort of pride in producing heavy text-based role play, once the foundation of our community. You're a number on the worldwide internet, whom they don't know, therefore can give a shit about the time/effort you are putting into your respective factions. If they did, they wouldn't waste your time and deflect from the problems effecting the server right before our eyes. 150 players is honestly doable. But a new leadership ideology will need to be made, and transfer of all of LSRP's assets to someone else so a pivotal rebrand can be attempted will be required. If not, I would honestly urge every player who isn't a GTA V simp to let it go. Just leave the game. They don't deserve you or your time.

Also want to quote this post. It makes the most sense to see where we fall in and ways we can attempt to scale up again. Separating the LSRP V and SAMP community entirely almost sounds like a great idea in my head. Restructuring, implementing small updates, incentives for community members to take on responsibilities and roles, repurposing the tester roles, acquiring new developers all just sound motivating. We aren’t trying to reinvent the wheel here, simply just trying to juice the player numbers back up to 120. It is without a doubt achievable given this servers history and tenure on samp.

A very convenient approach to just letting the angry lash out their frustration and move on with their day, hoping that they will grow tired and become careless. That approach is only effective short term. The community has evidently had enough. The absence of staff members sharing their opinions on the matter will result in further trust lost, something that you will hardly be able to get back in the future, whether that's on SA:MP or V.
