colby beats khazmat if its a 5 round fight

For real, Khamzat needs to improve if he really wants to challenge Usman because at the moment it doesn't even look like he could match Colby in a 5-rounder. Or maybe just follow the game plan instead of going to a war next time, idk. The way he fought Burns doesn't convince me enough though.

I honestly want to hate on khamzat… only because I hate how ufc hype trains are some guy comes along and gets a few wins… and the entire casual community thinks they can beat the entire world.

the other day some kid tried to argue me down that he’d beat prime Jon Jones… PRIME Jones… he wouldn’t even beat Jon in his current state.

LMAO, trust. Prime Jones beats anybody, any day, I don't care what anyone says that man was (still might be) a monster. Besides, like you said, put Khamzat in that cage against Jones right now and Jones comes out with a W.

I think he was put in the GOAT conversation simply because many GOAT managers were heavily influenced by him during their come up. If you're basing GOAT status on trophies etc, it certainly isn't him - I think its more just everyone has the upmost respect for him, from players to managers etc.

Yeah, he deserves plenty respect, no doubt about that. I just wouldn't put him in the GOAT debate but his influence on top managers and the game was huge. The same could be said about Rangnick, his philosophy and vision shaped majority of top German managers, huge influence but definitely not the GOAT manager.

Nah bro, 100% a joke, anytime anything with Ben Askren comes up those are the comments I see everytime lool.

I see what you mean in the end it did come off kinda weird.

Yeah I can't wait for it I thought 273 was gonna be weak at first, but now it's pretty nice.

Yan should of won their first fight, unlucky for him.

Finally get to see Khamzat vs a noticeable opponent.  I honestly don't see Gilbert losing and I see Khamzat getting added to another Hypetrain failure video lol.

How you feel about him? Most people really believe this guy is gonna slaughter WW and MW lol.

Yeah, it's a good card with 3 really exciting fights. Yan messed up big time in their first fight can only blame himself but gotta take that belt back now. Can't stand Aljo acting like Johny the Big Bollocks when he was losing the fight and only has that belt because Yan threw an illegal knee. I understand he's doing it to sell the fight but it's just really annoying.

I have no opinion on Khamzat vs Burns, I wish both of them could come out with a win but that's just impossible hahah. Would be good if Khamzat turned out to be the real deal though, finally someone who could dethrone Usman as at the moment no one is at that level. Colby is really close and gave Usman 2 of the toughest fights of his career but he isn't gonna get a third fight anytime soon, so it would be good if someone else like Khamzat showed up in that division.

Ah, I see you took my comment seriously. Awkward …  thought you’d  get it was a meme comment

I mean.. I knew you were taking the piss in the first paragraph but the way you ended it, I thought you were just being sarcastic and assumed I was overhyping Ben, which wasn't my intention at all 😂

Yan confirmed he's landed in the US and will be ready for his fight with Aljo, that card is looking fire so far IMO.

I think Biesla did get through to the players at the start because his philosophy worked - managers hadn't played against that kind of football before (or at least often) so we were able to use that to our advantage and preformed well. The issues came when he didn't adapt. Managers knew what we were going to do, so other teams knew how to cut us open - and with some calibre of players we have, it made us concede 3+ and lose often. His ignorance to his type of play is what killed us this season - although I am hoping recent results keep us up under Jesse.

Rumours circulated that a group of our players had went to Biesla during a bad run of games and wanted a meeting with him in regards to tactics and changing things up because they were sick of how easy we were to beat - and again, he done nothing.

So I wouldn't be surprised if he lost the dressing room a bit, was clear to me how happy the players were meeting Jesse in the very first video put out on the official Leeds pages - they were happy to see change.

Saying that, Leeds will never not appreciate Biesla for what he done for the club, he made loads fall back in love with it, reunited a city and brought the spark back - so regardless of what happened this season, he'll be praised forever. I'd honestly expect some sort of memorial.

I'm super happy with how we are playing under Jesse, was proper sceptical at first- but I am warming to him, think he's solid.

I think you're spot on and I don't blame you for appreciating what Bielsa done for the club, if I was a Leeds fan I'd certainly be in love with the guy. My only point was that fans tried putting Bielsa into the GOAT conversation by stating the best of the best (Pep, Klopp) were inspired by him, yet completely ignoring all the other factors.

Pep and Klopp were able to adapt, learn from their mistakes, Bielsa was so full of himself and his tactical genius that he completely ignored all the red flags. I wonder how Jesse will perform now, he did a really good job at Salzburg but then it didn't work out for him at Leipzig. Genuinely curious but it's good for Leeds that players are happy to play under him.

Ben Askren you mean the guy who broke Masvidals knee with his face? Same guy who broke jake Paul’s hand with the same face? The same guy who purposely let Maia choke him out because he knew he was scared of his iron face??? THE GREATEST FIGHTER THE WORLD HAS EVER SEEN? HATED? Ben is the peoples champ… and a better wrestler than khabib a more technical striker than Izzy and more knockout power than Ngannou.

Yeah man I’m gonna have to question your UFC knowledge now…

Sorry but Ben was a WW champion in Bellator and ONE, submitted Lawler in his first UFC fight, then lost to Masvidal, Maia and retired. Out of his 2 L's, the one against Masvidal was just really unlucky, whilst losing to Maia isn't exactly an embarrassment. Bear in mind Maia's losses where against the likes of Usman, Cov or Burns and he's getting closer to the retirement now as well. Also, he beat Masvidal.

There's no need for the hyperbole, Ben would've never been a WW champion in the UFC but I'm sure as hell he would've wrestled the shit out of Masvidal. He's a meme know and I always appreciate good banter but let's not forget Ben was actually a very good MMA fighter. Didn't stand a chance against Jake Paul though. Ben couldn't strike/box to save his life whilst JP is an amateur boxer, much bigger and taller than Ben as well. Also, the state of Ben's body when he turned up for the weigh in.. LOL. Just an easy paycheck and a chance to become relevant once again.

Nah, I know  it’s every sport but it’s usually always the UFC more than others. Theirs a 10+ minute video on YouTube called “UFC Hypetrains getting destroyed”

if Izzy wants to beat Jan he can’t fight him to a decision otherwise if he loses again it’ll be bad for his legacy imo

its funny you told me that information about Colby just the other day I just seen a video of him saying he doesn’t cut made me think about ur comment.

speaking of I get the vibe you’re pretty into the UFC.

what’s your take on the masvidal aftermath? Honestly embarrassing imo for him getting smashed in the ring then getting arrested cus he’s salty.

I used to hate Colby but now I’m a fan hopefully he gets to face and ends poriers career.

I think it's more visible in the UFC purely because there's less people competing vs other sports, like if you think about it there's new Messi/Ronaldo/Neymar in football almost every few months, then they go missing. Also, let me guess, Giga and Till are in the video? 😂

I don't think Izzy has the KO power to do Jan or Jiri like that and I don't see Glover keeping that belt for too long, although if he does it'll be a great story.

Got mad respect for Masvidal for his backyard fights back in the day (loved Kimbo for that as well), but as a fighter he isn't anything special. Didn't deserve second fight against Usman, only got it because he's a draw, and he's only a draw because he landed a lucky knee against Askren. I know plenty of fans dislike Ben but man he probably would've won that fight had it gone to the ground.

As for the post-fight confrontation, Jorge got absolutely mauled in the fight so he just comes across as salty, ngl. Colby didn't even really say anything about his kids, only that Jorge is a bad dad, but I might have missed something.

I like Poirier, he's a nice guy, never really starts shit anymore only responds when he gets called out but I don't see him winning with Colby, I'll be definitely rooting for Dustin but he would be a huge underdog in that fight, IMO.

Yes. He was going to go in the end of the season anyway, regardless of if our fans wanted it or not. Jesse is doing well and he's getting through to the players, alongside building their confidence again as it was completely gone towards the end of Biesla.

Would love him to still be involved in the club somehow, just because of everything he done for us.

See, this is what baffles me though, Bielsa who's apparently really good when it comes to communicating with players and everyone's got so much respect for him couldn't get through to his own troops. As much as I like Bielsa and I think he's had great impact on football, I don't think he's as good as some people (i.e. Leeds fans when he was at the club) make him out to be.

He might be a tactical genius and he definitely left a mark on managers around the world and was an inspiration, but he's not a great manager himself, a great manager doesn't:

    1. Resign after 2 days

    2. Inform players of his intention to leave only to be sacked later on and on top of that his successor delivers something he couldn't

    3. Get sacked because he couldn't get through to the players as his side was facing relegation

Like, I'd understand if one of the above happened, once or twice, but with Bielsa there's always some sort of controversy, he either didn't get along with the senior management or the players or both. I'm happy to be proved wrong but the fact other managers have achieved some sort of success (or just simply delivered on the objectives) after replacing Bielsa says it all, IMO.

Solid points, I do honestly feel LW was mainly TOP heavy especially after the Connor vs Khabib fight is when the guys at the top started making the gap between them and the rest of the division longer and longer, as in if you weren't the top guys known in the division you weren't much of a contender,

I honestly hate how fanned out UFC can be, guys like khamzat chimaev who has 0 noticeable wins has at least 90% of the UFC (probably a higher amount as the real fans numbers lessen by the day) thinking that he can wake up and beat Izzy tomorrow at Middle Weight.

Colby walks around at his fight weight? No way? I could of sworn I seen somewhere where he was walking around 190+?

I love Izzy honestly, Hopefully he gets that LWH belt and bounces, don't want to see him fight Jon Jones AT ALL. It'll be like vs Jan the 1st time but x 9000

What really made LW stacked for me was the fact there was like 5+ guys good enough to hold the belt, and that still applies to certain extent as lightweight is much more competitive than other divisions.

It's not just the UFC mate, every sport is like that, you always have that one guy all fans love. Khamzat is a massive hypetrain but he's been impressive so far, yeah he hasn't beaten any top fighters yet but the way he's been winning his fights is just extraordinary. He's scheduled to fight Burns now so will see how that one goes, it will be a career defining fight for him in a way.

Colby's natural weight is somewhere between 175-180, so he almost doesn't cut anything, and he said it himself as well then it was confirmed by reporters/fighters I believe. Got loads of respect for him because of that.

I don't see Izzy getting the LWH belt tbf, I'd rather for him to stick around at MM and dominate, he's got the potential to get really close Silva's record. I don't think Bones will come back to the octagon either unless he's really prepping for HW but it's just been so long since the last time he fought I lost all the hope lmao

“Dropping down a weight makes you better” okay so you have 0 idea what cutting weight is and that fighters don’t just wake up and fight at the weight that they walk around in every day…

Colby strongly disagrees with that lmao

" dominating top opponents in a stacked division"

    Also LW is not stacked.

LW was stacked though, still is in a way. Back when Khabib battered Conor, majority considered LW to be the most stacked division in the UFC. Regardless, I agree with you Khabib hasn't done enough to be called the GOAT, maybe/probably GOAT of LW but defo not P4P.

Adesanya, what do you think about him?

Great fighter, exciting striking and, contrary to what some people say, pleasure to watch. This whole narrative about Izzy being a boring fighter is ridiculous, Chandler asking Izzy to do more and not spar and that champs don't have to do much nowadays was just stupid af. Izzy landed more strikes against Rob, defended takedowns and the ones he didn't defend, Rob literally did nothing. Anyone saying Rob got robbed is just a fanboy, for real. Can't see anyone beating Izzy at MW anytime soon.

  13. highest ever was plat 2/3, last season finished in gold 1 or 2 i think, cba to play that much but i like the new karambit so will probably get the pass and grind for it lol

unless they just don't give a crap about EUNE anymore and if that's the case i regret moving regions, should've just stayed on EUW

  18. I get that Khabib hasn't got as many title defences as others and fans question his GOAT status - totally fine, everyone's entitled to have an opinion but calling him thrash is just ridiculous/disrespectful. He manhandled all/most of the best fighters in the division, his ground game is incredible and the opposite of the typical hugger, all his recent fights he kept putting pressure on his opponents and attacking on the ground in every (or almost every) round rather than just laying on there and waiting for it to end.

As for Bones, it's a shame he can't sort his life out and is wasting his talent. Could've easily been undisputed GOAT but I guess getting arrested is more fun. His fighting IQ is out of this planet though, if there's one person that can beat Francis (apart from Gane) it's defo Bones. Even DC didn't mind admitting that and he hates JJ lol.
