The term "street gang" is commonly used interchangeably with "youth gang", referring to neighborhood or street-based youth groups that meet "gang" criteria. Currently, the gang has an active membership, with the count surpassing around ten to fifteen members. The gang operates around Willowfield, a district in the south-east area of Los Santos, San Andreas in areas including, Elbert Street, Arbutus Street, & Sampson Street. These area's are known for its prominent gang activity and is a low-income district with a high crime rate. These neighborhoods have become unsafe and invested with drug addicts loitering and engaging in illegal activities on the streets. This has caused fear and discomfort among families and individuals. Criminal incidents like theft, vandalism, and drug dealing have increased, making it challenging for law-abiding citizens to feel safe. As a result, property values have declined, and overall livability has suffered. Efforts by the authorities to address these issues have not been very successful, leaving the community feeling exposed and neglected.
Money, Murda, Power is a mixed-nationality street gang with its roots going as far back as the early, 1990s. Business, Money, Bitches, has built a long infamous history that revolves around criminal acts and intense trafficking, notorious for pushing the majority of members to develop routines and bad habits for power, respect, women, money, and protection. The gang is divided into three separate groups/cliques: Chain Gang (CG), Get Money Gang (GMG), and Money, Murda, Power (MMP). In previous years there has been a noticeable downfall in the gang's membership, with the Chain Gang (CG) sub-set, being considered defunct for an extended period of time. Lately, however, all of the cliques within the group have picked up activity increasing the overall activity all around the board, allowing an increase with new individuals joining, especially younger individuals within the communities, who seem to be driven, or goal-oriented and focused on making money, gaining power and respect and protection from other street gangs. Groups that fall under the group are loosely connected and are not necessarily allies with each other.
