The Seun Fung Chinese-American Benevolent Association, based in East Beach, traces its roots to the Los Santos Kai-Fang Association, a neighborhood watch group formed in the mid-1960s to support newly arrived Chinese immigrants following the 1965 Immigration and Nationality Act.
Officially chartered in March 1967, the association evolved into a formal benevolent organization with its own board and mission to serve the community. Though modest in size, Seun Fung has made a lasting impact, notably through its annual contributions to the East Beach Chinatown lion dance fundraiser since 1973. Today, it stands as the third-largest benevolent association in Los Santos, behind the Eng Family Benevolent Association and the Gam Shan Society, continuing its legacy of cultural preservation and community support.
(( Out of character ))
Seun Fung aims to portray a contemporary Chinese-American benevolent association -- sometimes called "societies" and with similarities to "tongs" -- and act as a conduit for players interested in but not familiar with Chinese-American roleplay and the culture therein.
