LS-RP is in a very fragile place, with challenges that can be overcome however. We are dealing with the reality that many LSRPers seem to be in their 20s-30s these days and have real lives and that there is another server on a different game with a huge population. It's very easy for people to get frustrated and say "Fuck it I quit" then stop spending their precious few hours of free time on this server or to go back to the one with a huge population on a more modern game. However, the biggest issue the server faces is that since about 2015 the rift between the players and staff has gotten so massive. There are even members of the staff team who dislike the staff team. Back in 2015, when the server was the top game in town this wasn't as much of an issue, as your only other option was to play on much smaller servers with much noobier playerbases, but today people got options. I don't know the solution to overcoming this rift, on any server with such subjective moderating standards there is always going to be disagreement over everyone's view of the rules. However, what can be managed of course is game development, management-player feedback and speed of response to applications. I don't think the issue is SAMP, SAMP and this servers great history is what is giving it a playerbase. Most everyone here has a PC which can run GTA-V but chooses to play SAMP because it's our preferred game for whatever reason or we just love our factions and this servers lore so much we aren't ready to be done with them. Player retention, especially faction retention through having good dialogue with factions is crucial at this moment.2 points

Valenti is not going anywhere, at least not for the time being. Lack of motivation and real life duties which are time consuming hit everyone from time to time and it's reasonable to think that way, but you don't have to worry cause we'll bounce back eventually. Even if it takes us some time.2 points

It's not dead, people just lose motivation from time to time. Most of the LSRP playerbase is well above 18 years and those people have jobs and families to take care of which naturally is time consuming itself. Then again, there's also issues with staff team and their ignorance which negatively impacted playerbase in the past as well. Now, don't get me wrong cause I ain't pointing fingers - there's still people in staff team who care about the server enough to keep it going, but it's clear as day that there's still no will to correct certain mistakes from the past. Anyways, I've written a lot here but it all comes to this: LSRP is not dead, nor will it be any time soon. However if it wants to survive people who are running things behind the scenes should wake up. Keeping a constant playerbase as high as 190+ players per night is not easy, but until just a couple of months ago it was still at that number. Staff's not to blame entirely, LSRP will keep going as long as we all together keep it going. Enjoy it while it lasts and stop whining, it doesn't help - go IG and create some RP.2 points

THIS THREAD FOLLOWS THE CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT OF TORIAN ROJANO — A HISPANIC TEEN LIVING IN THE EL CORONA AREA RIDDLED WITH POVERTY, CRIME, AND CONSTANT STRUGGLES FOR SURVIVAL. Torian Rojano, better known on the block as Lil T or Tarino, is a mixed-Hispanic native of Unity Boulevard. Born and raised right there on the line between struggle and loyalty, he’s the kind of dude who learned early that respect is earned, not given. Lil T’s big brother, Terrence “Big T” Rojano, used to have a strong name in the streets before catching 20 years to life for attempted murder and manslaughter. He is a proud member of Mara Salvatrucha, commonly known as MS-13. Even with Big T gone, his name still echoes through the city, and Lil T makes sure it stays that way. He wears that legacy with pride but he’s also trying to move smarter, not just harder. He can usually be found talking shit on Myface, of which he advertises his pride of his neighborhood, heritage, and activities done in the area which varies in money making, violence, or simply flirting with females who goes to his school, Olmos High School. His home is 13 Unity Boulevard, but you’ll usually catch Lil T posted up on Imperial Avenue or 38th Street, chilling with his close circle, especially his friend Mario Arias. That’s one of his day ones in the area. Together they move through the city like shadows, talking plans, running plays, and keeping their heads low when it counts. Life around Unity Boulevard and the El Corona district hasn’t ever been easy. Sirens at night, tension in the air, but Lil T’s learned how to navigate it all. He’s got a sharp mind and an easy charm, the kind that opens doors most people don’t even notice. Whether he’s scheming his next move or just vibing with the crew, Lil T’s focused on flipping his story, turning the struggle of Unity Boulevard into something that finally pays off.1 point

Almost 90 players tonight. Not bad for a server that’s “dead” and “done”. Let’s keep it up and hopefully get staff to be more participating.1 point

Sadly I'll have to lean on the same side as the comments above, fact is, the server’s overstaffed and half the staff aren’t even proper SAMP admins. The ones left are either incompetent or too tangled up in everything. When the people meant to enforce rules are the same ones writing and benefiting from them, the system collapses into a self-serving circle. The same guy doing drug schemes is the main investigator, the same guy doing company schemes is doing events, and I can keep going. Feels like 40% of the playerbase are staff "stakeholders". I've tried my best to add value to this server either through staff applications, scheme applications, company requests, etc. and every time I was not allowed to have the things that would develop my RP or allow me to have a smidge chance to change something. Additionally I've pointed out many times that the server glorifies illegal RP to the point where any attempt to do something outside of that scene feels like a waste of time. As for me - I’m stepping away from LS-RP entirely. I’ll be exploring other RP platforms and focusing on other games for now. You can only polish the same broken machine for so long. Last Friday at 8 PM my time the server had 25 players on and I'm not about to lose sleep just to meet someone I probably won't even enjoy playing with.1 point
