I'm down for it if they replace the air units that fly out of ur render distance and stare at u with helicam.cs 🙂

If someone wants to cheat, they will also cheat in a HSIU unit using nametags.

I'll add to what Cake said that it's also not how the whole cheater idea works.

Also to contribute for the sake of the thread, I agree some high speed units could come back in the game.

But very limited and restricted.

i think u misunderstood my comment cuz thats exactly what people in pd do LMAO

It's not possible.

If you must know: a SA-MP server will not send data about a player to you if you are not within certain meters of the player. However, this only works for X and Y coordinates. SA-MP does not care about the Z distance, meaning you can be in space, and still see everyone below you, and players below you, can still see you above.

Tell me again, how a camera mod is affecting their streaming distance?

🤡

I dont think it should be limited nor restricted, just a process that law must follow to avoid having a bullet in every pursuit, if its a high speed pursuit thats gunna end up in LV then deploy HSIU to intercept. Nobody wants a pursuit that goes from realistic to hyperbolically unrealistic due to vehicle damage in samp

LSRP is generally based on realism and is a mirror of LA for years now.

There's no actual supercars used by any LA LEO agency to chase down other supercars.

There are however properly modified vehicles that can and will be used on highway pursuits, which is something we can somehow put into the server by having an elite group of 3-4 drivers combined from LSSD/LSPD (although I find this very highly unlikely to happen, as we've had this discussion so many times but never gets inducted cause ppl find it very unrealistic and "noobish to have"), who will be called ONLY if it's a supercar pursuit and not in the city borders.

Police in general avoids very high speed pursuits within residential areas.

During a pursuit, Police is not only in charge of putting the person to stop, but also to keep bypassers & pedestrians safe etc. So, using common sense, very high speed pursuits are not encouraged by cops. They'd prefer to let the person go instead of chasing down someone in alleys using supercars.

What I mean by "tightly monitored", is that these cars should be deployed only when pursuits happen in the county roads and by a selective few drivers chosen by LSPD & LSSD, seriously handpicked and trained.

Peak LSRP had HSIU and it worked, because it was fun, there needs to be a happy balance between what's over-realistic and what's brings genuine fun to players in my opinion. I would argue that since the mirror of LA has been in place, the server began to decline

After reading through this, unfortunately bringing HSIU back is something we, Legal Faction Management, aren't interested in doing.

Whilst it may of been fun in the early years of LS-RP around 2014-15, we've moved past the time when people in LEO factions would drive around in Bullets etc to chase others and we're striving to a more realistic approach. I appreciate you being so passionate about the topic though but as I said, it's not something we're going to allow again.
