Can we bring back the old playerbase count?

Hello all,

 

As I said, I will review and highlight the posts that actually provided some feedback and could be cleaned out.

 

I will go over the list of course again by tonight before I forward it to our Management.

This is not made for transparency, but for the fact that I promised to you on my previous post.

 

What I cannot promise, is if Management will post an "action plan" as I stated before, but I doubt they will considering there are already few things happening and you will see things through Server Updates instead. So don't expect Management to jump in here and give you information about that list.

That list will be forwarded individually to our Management.

 

Sum up of the thread, of what the Community feels needs to be touched upon to bring back LSRP SAMP to an acceptable level so they can play or return:

— Players touched grass about Staff response times to reports, ban appeals & general inquiries. Pressure from the leads to the lower ranked staff members to do their tasks quickly, so there's better service to the players. [MANAGEMENT / STAFF]

— Keep ban times to an optimal level, so players don't get banned for too long periods for no reason. Maybe at cases avoid bans and replace them with ajails / kicks. [MANAGEMENT / STAFF]

— Purge the housing system, clear it up and start fresh so players have houses to buy & invest into. [COMMERCE & REAL ESTATE]

— Pricing Problems, generalized complaint by new players of the server. Hard to obtain guns/drugs & houses due to insane prices from middle men. [IFM / COMMERCE & REAL ESTATE / NEW PLAYERS]

— Player / Staff trust & faith into the fact that if LSRP is in the right direction. More clean, straightforward and plannable communication between Staff & Players. [MANAGEMENT]

— Staff restructure to stop burning out people with potential and give chances to people who want to help. Spread the responsibilities & keep straight goals. [MANAGEMENT / STAFF]

— Guide the server in a better mentality, which promotes good vibes, fun RP and fresh ideas. Stop promoting negative posts & ideas. [STAFF / COMMUNITY OUTREACH]

— Silence toxicity, promote good ideas & help new people adapt. [PLAYERS / STAFF / COMMUNITY OUTREACH]

— Tackle robbery sprees & poor scamming situations. Long post by Jugers, describing how demotivating it was as a player who just joined LSRP to be constantly robbed/kidnapped/DM'd the moment he hit LVL 5. [STAFF]

— Learn to accept changes. When LS-RP gives a development or QOL update, Community should learn to take a step to analyze why it happened and why it was provided, instead of instantly shouting at the Developers about a shitty update or a bad choice. Voice the concerns properly, so they are heard and negativity is squashed. [COMMUNITY PLAYERS]

— Promote & let people lead, remove the inactive ones and Legal Factions should be allowed to be ran by capable and motivated people. Suggested by Eren. [LEGAL FACTIONS]

— Manage Server's "crews" on a similar level that Illegal Factions are being managed with actual punishments, so we can squash DM squads. [ILLEGAL FACTION TEAM / STAFF]

— Keep flowing the server and support illegal factions / official illegal factions that actually have an impact & activity. Suggested by westfordd. [ILLEGAL FACTION TEAM]

— Consider limiting the access of people to create a faction. That way, we might be able to keep an active faction related activity, which is the backbone of the playerbase. [ILLEGAL FACTION TEAM]

— Create Official Guides for LSRP (on our new forums), so new players can guide through the server setup & welcoming. [STAFF / COMMUNITY OUTREACH / NEW PLAYERS]

— Create an up to date video trailer showcasing the current Official Illegal Factions of LSRP (maybe do the same for the legals too!). Suggested by Michael_Dippolito. [MARKETING / IFM]

— Unify teams, create less but more effective sub-teams. IFM, Commerce & Real Estate & LFM should be one and work with a common goal, avoid bureaucracy. Suggested by Ragontor. [MANAGEMENT / SUBTEAMS]

— Provide asapdev a "proper NDA contract", whatever that means. Offer the person a position to provide for LSRP. Suggested by various members through the pages. [MANAGEMENT / DEVELOPMENT]

 

 

 

Thank all those who contributed to this thread.

You might see something that you also stated, just in different wording. I have tried to filter out all of them, to be as easy as possible for Management to handle.

Let's pray for the best and wish 2025 will be a better year for LSRP.

 

For me, after reading all these posts, I must say I felt like a Meta Moderator.

 

The general vibe is that people care for LSRP, but they have lost their spark. And truly, the problem is not features or how an admin was unfair at you at a situation.

It's mainly the fact that sometimes, both staff & players nitpick things, more than they used to.

 

We should focus on the pure parts of RP. On the accept of a loss and on a laugh during a win.

Create friendships, create unique faction projects & use the features you have at hand to promote exclusive and fun RP.

 

Cut off the norm of creating standardized scripts & DM squads.

Roleplaying is a magic gamemode, that seriously no other gamer actually understands.

 

As players, help the staff that you see is trying so hard to bring this back to something, to do it.

Voice your concern in a proper manner so we can forward it to the ears that must hear it.

 

We love LSRP the same as you do.

But the moment toxicity, leaking, bashing other members hits, you accept the fact that you erase all you've done for LSRP and you're now on the other side.

And it's your choice.

 

It always has been.

Be good and have actual fun, without trying to see who was wrong in every situation you have.
