Introduction
Welcome to Las Tapas, a beloved part of East Los Santos' food scene, located on Santa Ana Street in Las Colinas. Since starting in 1985, Las Tapas has grown from a small eatery to a cherished place known for its authentic Mexican food and high quality service.

Background Story
In 1985, Las Tapas opened on Santa Ana Street, Las Colinas. The restaurant was tiny and could only seat two people, but it quickly became popular. Within a year, people were lining up outside. However, a fire destroyed the original building. The founders rebuilt and moved the restaurant, and the grand reopening was featured on local news, with loyal customers sharing their stories.
Over the years, Las Tapas has remained a favorite thanks to Chef Rivers' passion for Mexican cuisine. His dream was to bring the vibrant flavors of Mexico to Los Santos, creating dishes that everyone could enjoy.

 

For 20 years, Las Tapas operated with Casa Grande, an earlier venture, before fully becoming Las Tapas. Rivers started out washing glasses, greeting and seating customers, and cooking. By 2020, he became the face of Las Tapas. His hard work has helped maintain the restaurant's excellent reputation.

Our menu reflects the Cardenas Family's award-winning recipes, offering creative takes on classic dishes from Mexico and the Southwestern United States.
 

The Latest from Las Tapas
Recently, Las Tapas has seen many changes under the leadership of David Consuelos. He started as Head Chef in 2021, became General Manager, and by 2024, he became a business partner and owner.

David has introduced several improvements:

• Staff and Operations: Revamping the staff team, introducing structured pay based on roles, and hiring young talent.
• Business Design and Menu: Updating the Las Tapas logos, menu design, and online visuals for a fresh brand identity. Also, refreshing the menu with new dishes while keeping the classics.
• Digital Transformation: Launching an online platform where customers can:
  • Apply for jobs.
  • Stay updated on Las Tapas news and events.
  • View the menu online.
  • Rate and review their dining experiences.
• Online Management: Using an online database for business operations, making record-keeping more secure and efficient.

Las Tapas continues to provide excellent service, thanks to skilled staff and experienced chefs. We are proud to meet the standards of the Los Santos Department of Health and Sanitation, ensuring a clean environment for our customers.
