Skrappy74
During the most recent public update concerning the Los Santos County Sheriff’s Department’s ongoing community efforts against street gangs, the Gang Enforcement Team, in coordination with Operation Safe Streets, conducted a vehicle pursuit on Calzada Street which resulted in the seizure of multiple firearms. The recovered weapons included two assault rifles, one shotgun equipped with a holographic sight, and one handgun. During the course of this operation, the suspect actively resisted deputies of the Sheriff’s Department, which escalated into an exchange of gunfire. The suspect employed automatic weaponry and attempted to fatally harm two deputies. Deputies returned fire with Department-issued firearms, neutralizing the suspect. While significant damage was sustained to Sheriff’s Department vehicles and surrounding structures, it is of critical importance to note that no deputies were injured. Rescue Ambulance was immediately requested to the scene, and the suspect was pronounced deceased at 22:56 hours. Subsequent investigation confirmed the individual’s affiliation with the Woodlawn Crips, a known criminal street gang operating in the vicinity of Santa Maria Boulevard and the Santa Maria Burger-Shot. This incident stands as one of the largest seizures of illegal firearms and narcotics within the past ten days, marking another substantial step in the Department’s ongoing fight against gang violence. Chronology of Events 22:30 hours — unit 90GS1 broadcasts a call for assistance on Calzada Street. 22:34 hours — Sheriff’s Communication Center receives call and reports of shots fired. 22:43 hours — Suspect struck by a fatal round discharged from a deputy’s service firearm. 22:45 hours — Rescue Ambulance requested. 22:56 hours — Suspect pronounced deceased by Rescue Ambulance personnel. 23:02 hours — Search of the suspect’s vehicle reveals a substantial quantity of narcotics and firearms. 23:10 hours — Field Sergeant arrives on scene for supervisory oversight.[/b] Los Santos County Sheriff’s Department remains committed to safeguarding our communities, dismantling violent street gangs, and preventing the proliferation of illegal firearms and narcotics across the County. who is horizon
LOS SANTOS, SAN ANDREAS - Los Santos Sheriff's Department (LSSD) announced the arrest of Deputy Marcus Schafer (33) following the conclusion of an Internal Affairs criminal investigation. Deputy Schafer has been formally charged with '606. Perjury (B)' & '620. Corruption of Public Office'. The investigation, launched earlier this September, revealed evidence of misconduct that damaged the integrity of the deputies sworn duties, undermined the public's trust & put the Sheriff's Department's reputation at jeopardy. The Department received a public complaint on September 12 alleging criminal misconduct, neglect of duty and dishonesty. Deputy Schafer was placed on administrative leave on September 19. An arrest warrant was sent out and approved on September 24, having Deputy Schafer detained and interrogated on September 25, subsequently charged. Sheriff Charles Nebeker said in a statement: "The Department holds its deputies to the highest professional standard. When a deputy swears to protect and serve the public, that trust is sacred. Deputy Schafer's alleged actions represent a neglection of that trust. When one of our own fails to uphold our values, we will act swiftly and decisively to restore the public's trust. This arrest demonstrates our continued commitment to integrity and transparency." Los Santos County District Attorney praised the department for bringing the case forward: "People of Los Santos need assurance that misconduct is being rooted out. This arrest emphasises that no one is above the law." The Sheriff's Department has pledged its full cooperation with the district attorney.
