Children of the Mourning Star is a cult/secret society inspired by numerous religious and philosophical sects ranging from the Manson family, LeVayan Satanism and Scientology without directly involving/associating with one belief structure in question. It represents a collective obsession with sin, using it as an irreligious concept centered around free will, and the requirements around fulfilling said urges and impulses. Due to the irreligious angle, subjects such as or pertaining to blasphemy will not be required or touched upon, so people who are religious will be safe to involve themselves. Religion is something to be respected as an individual choice, and I do not seek to infringe on it. The focus will be indulgence, be it in violence, and curating a community of like minded individuals in an attempt to radicalise IC and create a tight-knit community centered around a shared vision of what would be "their perfect world." Despite the use of violence, murder, drug abuse etc, these are only used In Character as a plot/narrative device and we oppose any and all people who would indulge in these acts of harm towards others. No requirements for RPing within the ranks are needed, other than high-quality abilities and shared values/respect towards others. As aside from the plot, we want to create a friendly system OOC and as such, we are happy to help guide and shape any development towards joining our ranks if you are interested in joining! Look at the date this was posted. This has nothing to do with you, don't think too big of yourself. This server has lower than average quality of rp as of late, with PG, MG abuse and DM a normal occurance that seemingly nothing is done to address. It's why people including myself are leaving. I rp a lot with declan and Tommy and like myself, we only rp Ls because people play to win. Like jumping from balconys for example. We were always fine with losing because that is role play, we are just not okay when said role play is no longer according to the rules and standards. This is meant to be a heavy RP server, it isn't anymore. It's pointless denying it any longer and it needs to be addressed because far too many are leaving because of it. Tommy is a new character, Declan wasn't. Civilian rp is dead, and faction rp is all that is left but when people /q to avoid death and it be accepted? None of this is IC issues.

I do agree that some harsher rules would benefit in some cases. Reason to kill I think being a big one; location too being a big one. People are willing to kill in broad daylight and it doesn't really represent the real life consequences of killing even with the most hardcore gangsters out there. It's definitely a fixable thing, so I'd have hope though man. Personally? I would remove OOC mask entirely UNLESS there is a realistic face covering AND even then, it needs to be applied with genuine RP with proof of it in the case of it ever being required.
