  1. It's really tough to get this right. In terms of people abusing it for money and parts and people actually using it for roleplay. As you suggest it could be a supplier type role that is applied for instead of just being able to do it. I think that this could create a nice racket and full cycle economy. If people steal vehicles and sell off certain parts to mechanic shops, which are needed to fix up cars and tune them up for upgrades, it could be a full cycle action if implemented correctly.

  2. In concept this idea is alright, and it promotes a decent idea. But, in-game its too hard for all to comprehend and it will cause a lot of issues. It appeals more to certain groups of role-players who will control gambling, which isn't a bad thing, but after all it is a game. Having the ability to create in-character laws around gambling is an avenue to go down, or it can be OOCly controlled. Either way, there just needs to be a specific distinction on what is allowed and what isn't.

  3. I think for some it will obviously be quite easy. But that isn't necessarily a bad thing either. If you can do the quiz easily and get into the server, then you have answered 35 questions (or whatever the threshold is) right. All of the questions aren't super in-depth but they aren't obvious either. It is a good balance to get players to read the rules of the community for a reference point and it will force people to go through each section of the rules if they cannot get in. If someone gets through by sheer luck, they will be dealt with if/when they break the rules in the server.

  4. It's definitely situational, for sure. I think at times you can enforce CKs like in PD/SD situations with someone who picks death to get out of jail time, it would force people to be more careful in various instances rather than shooting out with cops to avoid any trouble. If they faced a CK in a police pursuit, they would either give-up or commit realistic crimes to avoid losing their character, assets, time, etc.

  5. It would be beneficial to reach out to factions that have supported and ran the illegal section for years. The old era of IFM and players have so much experience and ideas waiting on the sidelines when nothing has even been discussed yet. Sure, there are weapon and drug ideas/schemes released which is an important factor, no doubt. There needs to be implementation of business registration/applications as the server launch is fast approaching. This is a large part of the player base that is excited for a new era but it seems as if it is not cared about or supported really. With how the current IFM seems to be structured, there is little to no experience in real organized crime, gang, or any illegal factions for that matter. An IFM with primarily legal role-players or outdated/inactive role-players does not achieve the goal the player base is hoping for. There is no experience, ideas, and creativity there as they do not resonate with the players within illegal role-play.

Ima be honest GTAW did it right with the jail time and points system to life sentences.

I agree with this. I think there were suitable punishments for the crimes and it lead to a more realistic atmosphere. The points adding up lead to criminals being punished as repeat offenders and so forth.
