sk8txrfu
Stretch / Ghost / Slim Shot / K-Ruff / Ruff Rider / Spade / Chop / Trigger The story of Kahlil Ruffin is one that pulls back many layers of what it means to establish oneself at the top of the criminal ladder. A colorful, well-connected arms dealer finds himself in the chokehold of criminality incarnate, forced to adapt and question everything at the drop of a dime. Even while highly respected and connected, he is trapped in an ecosystem that thrives on exploitation. He weighs the integrity of his own safety and the shared victory between himself and the ones he struggled with in his hands. What exactly does it cost to stand at the top? Are the ties built while struggling worth stepping over to achieve a slice of short-lived paradise? While a mobster's choices seem abundant in a constantly evolving state of criminality, only in times of complete desperation do they discover they had no choice at all. "Every favor is a debt, and every debt is a chain. You climb high thinking you're free, until you look down and realize some motherfucker's holding the rope." The title "Road to Perdition" directly references the same titled film starred by Tom Hanks, portraying Michael Sullivan, who's position as an enforcer grants him wealth and respect. However, betrayal within the organization forces him onto a bloody path. Like Sullivan, Kahlil faces the painful truth: the higher he climbs, the more fleeting peace becomes. The paradise he seeks is fragile, dependent on sacrifices that leave permanent scars. Both stories wrestle with the tragedy that true freedom is unattainable in a world built on violence and manipulation. The world "perdition" refers to a state of eternal punishment and damnation into which a sinful and unpenitent person passes after death.
