Character Background

Alana Vukasinovic is a second-generation Serbian American born and raised in East Los Santos. Growing up, her family's financial situation was insecure. Constantly, they would be late on rent payments and struggle to keep food on the table. This encouraged Alana to be the best she could be while in school, helping to alleviate her family's financial situation by pursuing a good education. This would prove to be useful for Alana in the long term. As a result, Alana was the first in her family to attend college. She always wanted to work in healthcare after watching her mother struggle with untreated health issues. She enrolled in nursing school at a state university by using grants, scholarships, and loans, but the cost of tuition, textbooks, and living expenses soon became overwhelming. She has recently picked up some work by helping out Serbian Americans in her area run their business. However, by assisting them with running their fronts, she was also brought into the world of organized crime. Slowly, her managers have started to bring her into their illegal trafficking operations.
