vee
Sadly I'll have to lean on the same side as the comments above, fact is, the server’s overstaffed and half the staff aren’t even proper SAMP admins. The ones left are either incompetent or too tangled up in everything. When the people meant to enforce rules are the same ones writing and benefiting from them, the system collapses into a self-serving circle. The same guy doing drug schemes is the main investigator, the same guy doing company schemes is doing events, and I can keep going. Feels like 40% of the playerbase are staff "stakeholders". I've tried my best to add value to this server either through staff applications, scheme applications, company requests, etc. and every time I was not allowed to have the things that would develop my RP or allow me to have a smidge chance to change something. Additionally I've pointed out many times that the server glorifies illegal RP to the point where any attempt to do something outside of that scene feels like a waste of time. As for me - I’m stepping away from LS-RP entirely. I’ll be exploring other RP platforms and focusing on other games for now. You can only polish the same broken machine for so long. Last Friday at 8 PM my time the server had 25 players on and I'm not about to lose sleep just to meet someone I probably won't even enjoy playing with. How exactly does the server glorify illegal roleplay over anything else? There's tens of company features, people make millions out of it while investing 1/4 the effort it takes into running an illegal faction. I've interacted with both sides of the server at length, and I can safely say that if I ever wanted to make it 'big' in terms of gaining assets, world presence, or generally a crowd to roleplay with - I'd stick to running a company. Civilian/Company roleplayers get access to licensed guns, free vehicles, large financial handouts, and businesses that they can acquire for dirt cheap; those pump out 5x their monthly upkeep through entrance fees alone. Not to mention the population is mainly made up of non-faction players and police factions; who don't shy away from overkilling any criminal interaction they have the pleasure of witnessing. The server's tides are balanced, if not completely tilted towards your side. Ornell Yards - Absolute power corrupts absolutely. Martinela
Almost 90 players tonight. Not bad for a server that’s “dead” and “done”. Let’s keep it up and hopefully get staff to be more participating.
Spellwoven
Had more fun with 20 players that want to roleplay without - BUY SELL GUNS DRUGS Then with 200+ people who are just driving around, DMing, trucking It's not about the playerbase, it's about how people enjoy and roleplay. I was also DMed by a random with an M4 but who cares People should try new types of roleplay, make a new char with a fresh start ilegal or legal. Take screens, develop your char, listen to music while you play n just enjoy it while you can
