what is the most " viral " way to edit rp screens these days?

Recommended Posts

so, I've been playing SAMP for a long time and ever since I've started making screens, I've been following a very " grimey " way of editings screenshots by relying heavily on blur, zoomed pictures, JPGs, 800x600, etectra.

The results are pretty decent (atleast to me) and some people were actually commendating my screens saying that they're good, but that was like 2-3 years ago.

Now, I look at other threads and I realize that my screens are sort of " outdated " as people moved away from the blurry/grimey look. They either went for more simplified approaches without any effects, put text out of their screens, use no blur or cropping at all or do all of that but put the text in a black outline.
And there was a lot of mixed reactions regarding my roleplay screens nowadays in here, some people said that they're good, some people said that they're trash, others say that they like " the retro look " of them, but I'm pretty much confused on how should I edit my screens properly. I don't want to look subpar, nobody wants to look subpar, I want my threads and the screens that I'm making to look decent.

But the thing is, everyone have his own style in LSRP, it's confusing which one to follow. I even started to believe that my screens might actually be shit, and I'm just not seeing it.

So, I'll ask the community this question, what is the most " viral " rp screens editing style out there? How do people edit their screens usually?

Here's some samples from some of the factions that I rped in LSRP, you be the judge.

Your screens look fine but why should you hold my opinion (or anyone's, for that matter) in such high regard?

Do you enjoy your roleplay? Do you feel like you're developing your character in a realistic manner? Do you even enjoy making and posting screens documenting your RP? These are the questions you should be asking yourself.

Blaze your own trail. It's really not that deep.

Honestly? I don't, I'm not enjoying myself not one bit.

Infact, I'm banned from all of the legal factions in here, I got nothing going on ingame, I have no friends to play with and the server itself despises me.
No matter how hard I try to get unbanned from these factions, I get nothing but negative replies and people blocking me.

Why am I playing here in the first place? What am I doing?

My brother ur screens are not outdated? What is outdated? SAMP is outdated, we're all playing an outdated game. Enjoy it bro... By the way I like your screens they look great to me.

Sampscreens.com is the most OP way to edit screens, it is quick and convenient. If you want to get more creative with screens feel free, but you might have to try something other than sampscreens.

Every screenshot is a good screenshot, fuck all screen "elitists", this game's never been about them and/or their opinion. Have fun, enjoy the game, stick to an editing style that u enjoy.

What you provided above is amazing already - stick to that

Hey, man. To help you get through this "difficult" period, I'd like to add a few small tips. Thank you for sharing your current mental state with us. First of all, the manner in which you express various facets of your role-playing skills is not particularly important. In the end, what counts most is how committed you are to your ideal character and how much you've invested in your role-play.

Don't worry about it and keep up the good work. Numerous factions will undoubtedly be happy to take you in and assist you in having fun once more. Here, you can re-create your mood with joy and optimism. The best way to be inducted is to interact with factions in-game.

Cheers.

You got me, but if you are not considering me ,,a friend" then that is all right.

The first thing about you is to tone down a bit, nobody is hunting you because of a twenty-something year old game and there is no reason to feel all that stressed because of it.

On the screens part, the only important thing is that they are readable and not unpleasantly looking to anyone's eye, apart from that, everyone has their own style. Focus should be shifted more towards character development and other things. Developing your character through in game actions and situations is what actually matters in roleplay, and ofcourse having fun along the way.

Disregard the opinions of others; edit according to your preferences. While some individuals may consider screenshots to be "retarded," I believe they contribute a significant depth to your character. Those who do not prioritize immersion may view this as unnecessary, but they simply do not grasp its value. To me, it represents art.

Although some may label my work as amateurish, it effectively conveys the essence of my character to the average reader.

Yeah, I do enjoy making screens but my only issue is that everybody has his own style and his opinion.
It's hard to know which style is the best looking one. Though I must say, your screens look a lot better than mine in many regards.
